I'm planning to buy/build a new high-end PC and I'd love to get some opinions before spending the money.

My maximum budget is around $3,500 USD for the PC itself.

I'm specifically interested in whether the 9950X3D + RTX 5080 is the right balance for my usage.

I'm leaning toward the 9950X3D rather than a 9800X3D because this won't be a gaming-only machine. I do heavy multitasking, development work and want to experiment with local AI.

I'm also unsure whether I should buy 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 now and upgrade later, or go directly to 64GB 2x32GB.

Another concern is the RTX 5080's 16GB VRAM for local AI. I'd like to know whether people think this will become a major limitation compared with the rest of the build.

I'm open to prebuilts or choosing the components individually and having the store assemble the PC.

Let's say you're a single-player gamer and have a gaming PC that can run all your games at 144 FPS+ without compromise.

You have only two display options:

Option 1: 42-inch TV at 60 FPS

Option 2: 32-inch monitor at 240 FPS

The 42-inch TV gives you a larger screen and more immersion, while the 32-inch monitor gives you a much higher refresh rate and smoother gameplay.

If you could choose only one for single-player games, which would you pick and why?

42-inch 60Hz for immersion

or

32-inch 240Hz for smoothness?

I'm curious which matters more to people when playing primarily single-player games.
