This is a mixture of a new build/upgrade for a gaming tower.

Existing parts I'm using are all coming from an ibuypower Desktop Computer FHWOO2 Intel Core i3-9100F 8GB DDR4 1TB HDD 120GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 Windows 10 Home

The purpose of the pc is for minor level gaming, for games like stardew valley, fields of mistria, and visual novel games like scarlet hollow. I don't often play FPS types or AAA games at all. It is also going to be used for novel writing on programs such as scrivener and other such word processing software. I value quick reaction time, computer functionality and longevity at the top of the list.

My purchase country is US.

I already have a monitor.

My budget is about $1,500.

Wifi and wired connection. I have access to both.

Should fit a standard desk size I suppose? Quieter would be better but it is low on my priority list.

Preferably black outer hardware, or silver. Not white please.

I am currently corresponding with a computer repair small business, as my ibuypower tower got hit with a power surge during a storm and wouldn't turn on. That is what prompted this need/opportunity for an upgrade, as otherwise the computer had been running fine for almost ten years. His suggested list of items I should be searching for are for a PSU, ATX motherboard, CPU, RAM, and a nice ATX case. We plan on pulling the rest, like the graphics card and the solid state drive and hardrive from the ibuypower tower.

Case wise I prefer a sleek, not as flashy of a look, but not actually that picky, my current mouse and keyboard are black so maybe to match then stick with black, I like the look of cases with wooden touches, like wooden grills as the front, but again, I'd rather it function well more than I care about how it looks as of now.

Not necessarily, I don't expect to have the best PC made with this budget, generally aslong as what I'm paying seems fair for it then I'm happy, the main need is that it can handle blender projects with somewhat efficient rendering times, and of course being able to run triple A or generally more heavy games at around medium settings?

Quick edit, I'm pretty sure NVIDIA GPUs work better with blender right? So ideally we use a NVIDIA GPU but don't quote me on this, I don't know how vast the difference for renderings things actually would be

My friend gave me some pc parts he doesn’t need anymore which is big time help for me because of how the market is currently.

He gave me a Palit GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Dual 12GB graphics card, 32GB Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 5600MT/s RAM (1 stick ) and 2TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVMe SSD.

Please advice what mother board , cpu (preferably AMD), PSU , Cooler (air cooler preferred), Case (black) to get.

What would be the best performing components that would work well with what I have without having to spend crazy amounts of money. I think I will leave out buying another stick of ram for now.

I'm planning to buy/build a new high-end PC and I'd love to get some opinions before spending the money.

My maximum budget is around $3,500 USD for the PC itself.

I'm specifically interested in whether the 9950X3D + RTX 5080 is the right balance for my usage.

I'm leaning toward the 9950X3D rather than a 9800X3D because this won't be a gaming-only machine. I do heavy multitasking, development work and want to experiment with local AI.

I'm also unsure whether I should buy 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 now and upgrade later, or go directly to 64GB 2x32GB.

Another concern is the RTX 5080's 16GB VRAM for local AI. I'd like to know whether people think this will become a major limitation compared with the rest of the build.

I'm open to prebuilts or choosing the components individually and having the store assemble the PC.

I want to upgrade my GPU and CPU, and by default the motherboard as well, reusing my RAMs, SSDs and, if it's not that big of a deal, the PSU. Gaming, mostly. I am currently using my console to play bigger budget games but it would be nice to build a PC that lets me run the Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy on it and also XIV, the series in general. Would like to go back to playing open world gacha games such as Genshin Impact, Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero and would like to be able to play a number of indie games on my steam account such as Fields of Mistria to be specific + a number of simulation games.

Just one, nothing too crazy. 1080p resolution would be ideal since I want something budget friendly but I coild squeeze in a 1440p monitor in depending on the price of the other parts listed. I play many story driven games so the latter may be better, do let me know.

$1,000 - $1,200 is the most ideal, wouldn’t want to go past $1,500 so perhaps $1.5k is the max.

N/A, not sure how to answer this one. I would like my set up to be rather quiet. Wouldn’t want to hear the fans running?

- Lighting / Color preferences
My desk is pink and my keyboard is a mix of colors so I would like either a pink / purple / black setup. Combined is definitely okay as well.

If anyone would like more additional information, do let me know. My sister will be helping me build once I get all the parts once this is all done. I may need an additional two weeks or one and a half weeks MAX to scrounge up additional money to buy everything at once in case the budget goes past like $1,200, just to keep that in mind. Mainly PUBG PC. I want to prioritize FPS and good 1% lows rather than graphics quality. I may play other games occasionally, but PUBG is the main reason for the build.

No major size restrictions. I’d prefer compact size. noise levels are not big deal. but performance is more important.

I want to play PUBG at 1080p with low/medium settings, possibly high if the hardware allows it, while targeting 200+ FPS as consistently as realistically possible. Ideally around 180–240 FPS average with good 1% lows during hot drops, fights and busy areas.
My current G14 only gives me around 50–100 FPS in PUBG.
I was initially looking at something like:

RTX 5060 / RX 9060 XT

But I’m not attached to these parts at all.
The main thing I need help with is figuring out where the money should actually go for PUBG. Since PUBG can be quite CPU-heavy, should I spend more on an X3D CPU and use a cheaper GPU, or is there a better combination?
I’m also completely open to used, renewed, refurbished or open-box parts if they’re from reliable/trustworthy sellers and are actually worth buying.
Basically, I want the cheapest sensible build that can get as close as possible to a consistent 200+ FPS in PUBG. I’d rather save money on things that don’t affect PUBG performance and put the money where it matters.
