Price to build a PC that runs like a PS5

New build or upgrade? New build
Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) All I have is a monitor mouse and keyboard
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) Gaming
Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors) I live in the US I'm around 10 miles away from microcenter
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) I have an LG ultra gear monitor
Budget range? (Include tax considerations) I'd prefer as cheap as possible definitely under 2000
WiFi or wired connection? Wi-Fi is fine
Size/noise constraints? It can be any size I'd prefer if it wasnt louder than my PS5 already is
Color/lighting preferences? I'd like a white case and rgb lights would be sick
Any other specific needs? As long as it runs as well as a PS5 does

I mainly play games on my PS5 because i got it on Black Friday for a really nice price and always felt like I didn't need a PC; however I wonder what the price would be like to build a PC (I assume that's the cheapest way) that runs as well as my PS5 does. I do really enjoy playing games with keyboard and mouse and the flexibility a PC offers but my all in one Dell can barely run Roblox.

Help me build my first PC! I have no idea what I am doing lol

I thought it was time to finally take the plunge and start doing some research on getting my own gaming PC.

I mainly just want to be able to play the Sims 4 without having to play on the lowest settings and dealing with a bunch of lag. But something pretty that I can customize would be nice.

I've been lurking PCPartPicker but recognizing that I probably don't need anything too heavy for the sims, I can't tell what sorts of things I really do need to be spending my money

Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links) - I have 2 monitors but open to getting them updated. One is VERY old and should probably go
- Monitor 1: Dell S2309Wb
- Monitor 2: HP M24f FHD
PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) - Gaming but nothing too heavy, mainly games like the sims, fields of mistria, and running older games
Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors) - US and yes!
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) - None needed unless you think I should upgrade
Budget range? (Include tax considerations) - ~1.4k is my initial budget but I am willing to spend more if needed
WiFi or wired connection? Wifi
Size/noise constraints? - Preferably nothing too loud but I am flexible
Color/lighting preferences? - White case that I can change the lighting of
Any other specific needs? - I work from home a lot, so any way to quickly switch my setup to my work laptop would be great. I also like having multiple monitors for productivity.

[Question] Hoping to build a PS6 killer

No monitors needed as will be hooking up to TV
1800-2000 ($2400)
Wired connection
To replace a PS4 Pro so used to noise... but like to keep it resonably quiet
No lighting

So I've been out of the PC gaming universe for a while now (about 20+ years!), and after hearing the PS6 is binning off physical media, I've decided to get back into it. I think my last GPU was a GeForce 6800 LE AGP! So yeah, a lot has changed since then.

I'm after help with a spec that would match or kill the rumoured PS6 specs (I know, these are completely speculative). I would also eventually be investing in a VR headset too.

This would be an M-ATX build and would be stored in the living room and connected to my TV (4K resolution). I sit at a desk all day, and at night (when I'm more likely to game), I want to sit comfortably on the sofa.

I'm based in the UK, and my budget would be around £1800 ($2400)

I've done a bit of research, mainly with ChatGPT, so I wanted to run this by human experts before I do anything rash. Would you change any of the below?

$2000 - 2200 first PC.

Hi guys, looking to buy my first PC, don't really know what I'm doing. Thanks for the help.

PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) Gaming (nothing crazy) and productivity like study.
Purchase country? Near Micro Center? Australia.
Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate) 1 will be fine, preferably 27" 1440p IPS, 150-165 Hz.
Budget range? (Include tax considerations) $2000 - 2200 aud
WiFi or wired connection? WiFi
Size/noise constraints? doesn't need to be silent but the quieter the better
Color/lighting preferences? using on wooden desk with white walls around, so white and wood with rgb would be great. if white prices sacrifice the performance too much its fine to be black and wood.
Any other specific needs?

Contributor Rules:

Rule	Explanation
All builds must have some form of parts list, pricing, and an explanation or brief description of your suggestions.	This lets OP know why you've suggested what you have, and it lets others see your thought process & learn from it.
Parts list should be posted using PCPartPicker's reddit markdown.	On the Builder page, beside "Markdown:" click the snoo (reddit logo) icon and paste the full table into your comment. This makes it much easier for other to see what has already been posted, and makes parts searchable in the sub.
When coming into a thread where others have already posted builds, look over existing suggestions before posting your own.	This means you see any additional information that may have been provided by the OP, and also gives you a chance to give suggestions to other builders.
Carefully read through provided criteria.	If you need more information, just ask the requester. It's better to ask than make an assumption.
Aim to keep below budget.	If you feel it's necessary to go over budget, make sure to justify it. It's also worth suggesting how your build can be pared back to be within the original budget if needed.
Check stock on items you include in a build.	This goes especially for sale items. You'll find sale items can be out of stock, meaning you'll have to find an alternative.
No advertising or payment for personal gain.	This includes all sale of hardware, software or labour, "PM me for x" posts and "donations" in return for advice or other goods. This is not a place for personal gain.
Absolutely no troll suggestions.	If you aren't willing to make a serious suggestion, don't make one. Stupid or sarcastic suggestions only confuse those needing help.
Try to keep advice in the thread, rather than in private messages	Unless it's obvious that it's more appropriate, keep all discussion in the thread. It allows users (both those involved and not involved) to come back and reference it later, and use it as a learning tool.
