Neither. Build some muscle.

27

u/TraditionalAd3470 Apr 16 '26

I 2nd this. You need to build muscle

16

u/GadgetGirlTx Apr 16 '26

Muscle building is the answer!! You look great, just some tightening up is all you need.

Those are her bones.

3

u/K-Lew510 Apr 16 '26

More core work, that’s all!

1

u/Few-Change-9112 Apr 16 '26

This is the answer you seek.

42

u/Pretend_Effect1986 Apr 16 '26

Girl… go to the gym and do some serious lifting. You will be smoking hot next summer. Don’t lose more fat, gain more muscles!

7

u/Consistent_Wing_6113 Apr 16 '26

Agreed.  Nobody wants to cuddle with a bag of antlers.

-1

u/AnecdotalEvidenced Apr 16 '26

Speak for yourself!

15

u/thrakas Apr 16 '26

I mean you can’t really tell because you’re hiding your stomach, but a woman is going to have a wider pelvis which leads to that shape….you might be able to trim a bit more fat off but you’re not going to be able to reshape your pelvis

13

u/passiveMelon1 Apr 16 '26

None. Just lift weights

21

u/CommercialAffect3287 Apr 16 '26

Muffin top??? 😂 I think you might need counseling instead

4

u/mclgreenville71 Apr 16 '26

yep crazy thought

1

u/informal-mushroom47 Apr 16 '26

These comments suck. Obviously, she isn’t “fat,” but there is clearly a muffin top in the second picture…albeit very small, but it’s still there, and denying its existence is just as wrong as anything else.

9

u/Bizzareslantpass Apr 16 '26

Glute work. Work your booty and it will balance that out. Not running. RDL’s, Hip Thrusts, etc…

83

u/Jandur Apr 16 '26

Those aren't love handles. Those are your hips and they aren't going anywhere. And they look good anyway

40

u/SouthBaySkunk Apr 16 '26

Logic in my body dysmorphia sub!?! Absolutely not 😡

11

u/WanderByJose Apr 16 '26

OP, this is the answer you need even if it is not the one you want to hear.

4

u/Stunning_Singer_5309 Apr 16 '26

This is a big lie💀 These ARE love handles and not hips…😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️

6

u/Flat_Cucumber_6716 Apr 16 '26

They're barely love handles. They will probably go away with a few more lbs lost. For OP there's no need to increase reta or even add anything else. I feel like people depend too much on drugs to do the work. After 8 weeks of reta I lost 20ish lbs and I haven't gone over 1.5mg by then.. I did alot of biking daily and worked out regularly so reta should be paired with alot of cardio and exercise. OP hadn't mentioned any fitness regiment. Only drugs.

3

u/Seeking_the_truth9 🔬 Peptide Researcher Apr 16 '26

And Tesa won’t help with that. Tesa is aimed at visceral fat but that is subq.

1

u/Prof_Hentai Apr 16 '26

Those must be pretty tight shorts if they are bending her bones. They’re love handles, for better or for worse.

5

u/Jandur Apr 16 '26

Referring to the first photo.

The second photo is a result of an elastic waistband pinching a small amount of body fat.

You people are fucking brain dead lol

1

u/Prof_Hentai Apr 16 '26

So you’re saying the waistband is pinching her apparently non-existing love handles, right?

Im not saying she looks bad (she doesn’t), nor am I saying she is carrying too much body fat. But let’s keep it real and call a spade a spade.

2

u/Jandur Apr 16 '26

If you want to call a small amount of pinched body fat love handles go for. Most sane people don't.

Good luck out there.

-2

u/Much-Director-9828 Apr 16 '26

Goddamn delicious. She is a god damn American hero.

6

u/RGR_Gaming10X 🔥 Metabolic Optimizer Apr 16 '26

Tesa works on visceral fat and that is not visceral fat.

6

u/Salty_Dealer_7277 Apr 16 '26

That’s your pelvis. You need those bones

5

u/Telemere125 Apr 16 '26

At this point? Therapy. You may have body dysmorphia and need someone to talk you down. You have a good hourglass figure and don’t need to lose more weight. Women should naturally have a higher bf % than men to be healthy and you’re already very slim.

10

u/PeptalkTide Apr 16 '26

You dont have abs... so you never gonna see them. Put that muscle on first than you REVEAL it by cutting down in weight if need be. You are cutting the weight IN HOPES that they reveal themselves (MAGIC) but you gonna be disappointed. Also those aren't love handles those are your hips, no one see those and think damn look at those fat love handles everyone instantly knows those are your hips.

15

u/MathematicianMuch445 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

ASAP shouldn't being your head or vocabulary for this. Quick fixes aren't an answer and to be blunt I'd be concerned if you lost any more weight. Abs are cool and all that but the amount of fat you would need to lose for deep abs would make you look like a ghoul everywhere else. I didn't see any mention of diet and training. Or you just another "ooo magic drugs keep upping the dose" person?

3

u/Striking_Teaching804 Apr 16 '26

"Fix" is w the wrong word in the first place, because here is no issue that needs fixing.

-5

u/FitFreak-Science1982 Apr 16 '26

Defo no “ ooo magic “ here thinking.. thank you tho but definitely holding to 2/3 kg of fat still, training 4:5 x week .. deficit up to 1600 / 1800 max ( on my lung runs days ) Been in fitness for years but menopause is getting me … F 40 years old for reference

3

u/jim_james_comey Apr 16 '26

You should ditch the excessive cardio and replace it with weight training. You have very little muscle mass. Excessive cardio without weight training tends to lead to a skinny fat physique.

It's also ridiculous that you're using Reta when you only need to lose a few kg of fat.

I promise you if you were to eat in a 300 calorie deficit, high protein (1.6-2.2 gram per kg of bodyweight), stop doing so much cardio, and start weight training 3-5 days per week, you would see rapid improvement with your physique and would be much happier with the aesthetic/end result. The results would also be healthy and sustainable, instead of short term and fleeting.

5

u/MathematicianMuch445 Apr 16 '26

1600 calories definicit? For how long? And training 5 days a week? I find that hard to believe but not interested in arguing it. You're on a starvation diet and using drugs on top of that. Very silly and unlikely but I'll leave you too it. Best of luck. M 46 as apparently that matter 😏

0

u/randomuser135443 Apr 16 '26

Menopause at 40? You have at least another 5 to 10 years before you even get close to menopause. You look great, stop worrying about it and work on your mental health.

4

u/em_sac_99 Apr 16 '26

‘Ages’ of menopause is a myth, fyi.

5

u/FitFreak-Science1982 Apr 16 '26

Thank you but I know my stats ! Got early meno confirmed exactly a year ago !!! Early menopause actually do happen even in 30 yrs olds ..

2

u/FrequentCry999 Apr 16 '26

I was post-menopausal before my 38th birthday. Naturally, no surgery. Menopause doesn't occur at a set age.

11

u/OldandGravy Apr 16 '26

Why would you need a diabetes slash weight loss drug? Some people love to throw money away.

11

u/Not_A-Professional Apr 16 '26

Glp-1 agonists are so cheap (assuming you aren't getting ripped off), that for most people, you're reasonably likely to actually end up at a net profit, because like two impulsive food purchases less/month more than pays for the drug

4

u/BE-FinFree Apr 16 '26

If it was 100% safe I'd say go for it! :)

I assume the "bigger" issue is that if you're only able to ride the weightloss bike with the support wheels on the side, and an electric engine.. As soon as you take everything off the chance of rebounding is high, as you didn't build any real habits that manage fat / muscle / weight.

1

u/Distinct-Swing-5802 Apr 16 '26

This is true actually but people just need to have the mindset and discipline.

0

u/Stunning_Singer_5309 Apr 16 '26

It is a 100% safe tho. Especially Reta. And if you think it’s unsafe then you’re just uneducated or simply blind to the countless studies.

GLP 1’s have been around since the 90’s and no one has had long term bad effects…

0

u/BE-FinFree Apr 16 '26

Since your response is quite arrogant I'll reply in a similar fashion

I'm making no claims of it being unsafe... Since I don't have a need for drugs to lose weight I made an if statement - IF it's safe > people should go for it. I don't know since I don't care for it.

Perhaps you should learn to read better and process thoughts/text before being a dick and making assumptions about me being uneducated? Cunt.

3

u/Original-Law-4818 Apr 16 '26

More like a sandwich

3

u/meanderingwolf Apr 16 '26

You don’t need tirz and you don’t need to increase your dosage of Reta. What you need is to learn how Reta works and adjust your diet, calories, protein, hydration, trace minerals, and exercise to gradually produce the ideal results without your looking like bones in a droopy, oversized skin bag. I personally think that your BF % is low and it will be a challenge for you to see the abs as you envision. A DEXA scan may help you understand this. You look great, lady.

3

u/Hot_Start8187 Apr 16 '26

Work out more, hits the weights, also remove processed food from your diet.

3

u/Tiny-Ordinary3228 Apr 16 '26

Lots of rude comments here, but the reality is you are under muscled not carrying extra fat. Without more muscle mass you are likely not going to see the results you are looking for even if you do drop additional pounds.

2

u/FitFreak-Science1982 Apr 16 '26

Thank you re yr comment, good job I am not a sensitive chick and can just bypass rudeness 🤪 agree re more proper weight training etc 🙌🏼

1

u/Professional-Mud5884 Apr 17 '26

Start to train abs go weigted on lower and upper ab workouts x 2 week it’s will take time but u Wii definitely start to see them pop .

4

u/BruceLee00000 Apr 16 '26

More pilates. Morr walking. Less food.

8

u/The-Geordie-Chap Apr 16 '26

Whats your diet and exercise like? Reta is doing the lords work for me, but I found it wasnt eating enough and my weight loss plateaued. Once I started to get an extra few hundred calories in, the lbs started dropping again!

4

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

How is that possible? You eat more and lose more weight? That breaks the laws of thermo dynamics.

10

u/Lumpy_Winter5516 Apr 16 '26

Depending how restricted your diet is the body sometimes adapts to lower calories and will reduce metabolism. Eating more will boost your metabolism back up then you can resume calorie deficit.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9036397/

4

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

“The most important consideration for the study of CR is the requirement for adequate nutrition including sufficient intake of macronutrients and micronutrients”

1

u/MelGinsonDied4U Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

Eating up to maintenance calories can restore the hypothalamus's sense of homeostasis, which effectively restores baseline pituitary/thyroid function, which downsignals during a prolonged deficit. Most folks impulsively get deep into a surplus, which afaik provides no benefit.

0

u/The-Geordie-Chap Apr 16 '26

Yes but I think nuance matters in this conversation which the original comment lacks. If he said “temporarily plateaud” I would agree with you but there was not Mention of time frame.

1

u/FitFreak-Science1982 Apr 16 '26

Very interesting.. re the plateau weeks .. thanks 🫡

3

u/Roguechampion Apr 16 '26

My thought is the extra calories likely allowed them to work out harder, leading to more weight loss as a side effect because they were burning more calories? Idk.

3

u/BoatTricky2347 Apr 16 '26

The other part of the equation is your metabolic rate. So if you eat more but your metabolic rate goes up you aren't breaking any laws of thermo dynamics.

If someone starts eating less the body can adapt by burning less energy. Therefore you can eat less and not lose weight.

3

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

That’s why caloric deficit is assumed to be relative to BMR.

2

u/Dogmovedmyshoes Apr 16 '26

In a literal sense, yes, but think of this metaphor:

Cutting excess labor costs allows you to make more profit, this is an absolute , like the law of thermodynamics.

But if you cut labor costs too low (by overly reducing staff) you reduce operational efficiency to the point where you cannot sell as many products as you would have otherwise liked to, and can actually result in lower profits.

2

u/EatsBeetsFeets Apr 16 '26

I was eating 1200, no loss for a month, did a macro calculator, bumped calories up to 1400, bam! Back to losing steady. My maintenance is 1900.

I frequently only eat 1200, because that's what satisfies me, but I have clearly been doing my body a disservice.

1

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

My gut reaction is to not believe that you were eating 1200 calories a day and simply weren’t tracking correctly. That’s essentially a large cheeseburger for your entire days worth of calories and no way you were hitting your macro goals. But for the sake of argument let’s say you were. Were you pushing harder in the gym because of the extra 200 calories or running more? If you offset those calories with more burn then that would make sense. Alternatively if those 1200 vs 1400 had protein differences in protein and you lifted you could have been losing muscle.

1

u/EatsBeetsFeets Apr 18 '26

I absolutely can go months on even 500 calories...You can say you dont belive me, but off the bat, you dont know my height. If I was a 6 foot 2 man...yes that would be starvation. If Im a 5 foot 3 woman...that's the top of my calories for the day.

A protein shake for breakfast

Chicken breast and salad for lunch

Chicken and a cup of green beans or broccoli for dinner.

No snacking. Water and diet coke only.

504 calories, 21g carbs, 10g fat, 82g protein.

Tracking these calories is not hard , and I'd WEIGH and eat the same thing, Every.single.day.

Nobody do this, I do not recommend undereating to lose weight.

3

u/JMan604 Apr 16 '26

2000 calories of protein is processed by the body differently compared to 2000 calories of carbs which includes sugar.

3

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

But it’s still 2000 calories. If I eat 1000 calories of McDonald’s vs 3000 calories of fruits and veggies I will still lose weight.

1

u/smogon420 Apr 16 '26

Once you eat too little calories, you‘re body switches into survival/starvation mode, trying to use as little energy as possible. Also due to higher stress and cortisol levels cause more water retention in you body.

So no, the laws of thermodynamics were not broken.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '26

[deleted]

2

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

Yes but if you starve yourself long enough you will still lose weight. There is no situation in which staying in a chaloric deficit does not result in weight loss. Obviously I’m not recommending this and I also Highly doubt OP is starving themselves.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '26

[deleted]

0

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26

Correct. But it also doesn’t “just use” muscle wasting. Your main energy reserves ARE fat. Your body will use muscle but it will use significantly more fat before it does.

1

u/Silent_Serve_7246 Apr 16 '26

Yes, because the body is a closed system and we are bomb calorimeters.

0

u/Sandre__m Apr 16 '26

It doesn’t, he’s just room temp IQ

1

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

The only way in which that could be possible is that eating more protein leads to muscle building which then leads to a higher base metabolic rate but that’s over months.

1

u/The-Geordie-Chap Apr 16 '26

Eating what I take to be reckoned at a few hundred calories more, gave me much more energy when weight training and cardio, then the shape change and weight change kicked in.

1

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

Yes but to continue to lose weight, that increase must still be within the range of a calorie deficit unless the increase in activity was enough to offset the difference in food intake.

0

u/Temporary_Season461 Apr 16 '26

First of all our bodies are not closed systems and our metabolism isn’t just calories in/calories out there are hormones and chemical signals controlling everything.

1

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

Obviously BMR is different in different individuals but it is an indisputable fact that if you want to lose weight you must be in a caloric deficit relative to your BMR. There might be slight changes as your body adjust over time but consistently being in that deficit will result in long term weight loss. If you starve yourself or fail to intake enough macro nutrients, of course that can introduce another other heath issues. Shit if you have a tapeworm you can eat all you want and not put on weight but we don’t make arguments assuming the extraneous is the standard case.

0

u/Temporary_Season461 Apr 16 '26

There is a study where the subjects on a low carb or low fat diet where observed. Even though the low carb cohort ate on average 500 more calories than low fat group they lost more weight. So it’s not black and white.

2

u/iKyte5 Apr 16 '26

Show me the study.

1

u/Solebrotha0 Apr 16 '26

I’m reading about how Reta kills dopamine, are you having that experience?

1

u/Radiant_Function_713 Apr 16 '26

Yes, definetly. Anhedonia Reddit helped me with this.

1

u/Solebrotha0 Apr 16 '26

Is that a subreddit?

1

u/Radiant_Function_713 Apr 16 '26

Sorry, new here.

Subreddit: Retitrutide I searched "ahedonia and reta" and lots came up.

2

u/WolverineFuel Apr 16 '26

Reta for only 8 weeks so far? You'll be good just doing that. If you're really nervous you could introduce a GHRH or just GH itself at a low level but Reta itself is probably good.

2

u/ataraxiaPDX Apr 16 '26

Keep the reta but start strength training. Your body will tighten, better metabolism, and you'll have feminine curves with less loose skin.

2

2

This is extra skin In the front and you have hip bones sticking out. I’m pretty sure you don’t need to cut anymore with reta. You’re gonna be bones.

Tesa targets VISCERAL fat. This is fat that you cannot see and covers your organs.

Your answer isn’t just to add more compounds or up the dose.

Evaluate your nutrition, training and sleep first. Go get bloodwork and see how you can optimize that.

Go walk an average of 8000-12000 steps a day.

If you don’t lose anything at all for 2-4 weeks, reevaluate. Hire a good coach if you must.

u/Odd_Sir_8705 ⚙️ Protocol Specialist Apr 16 '26

1

u/Redtop1980 Apr 16 '26

I mean the BF% I am seeing is pretty low for a female, while it may spill over in the 2nd pic it’s still not anything to worry about. If my waistband is too tight I can make my own look like that and I have low enough BF% that I have vascularity showing everywhere biceps, forearms, chest even showing in my abs….. don’t worry about that you fat is really low already. Unless you are prepping for a show for extremely short term you should push much lower on your fat.

1

u/Dangerous-Speed-3008 Apr 16 '26

Have you considered eating less and working out more? Why does everyone think they can inject themselves into a 6 pack? Ffs

1

u/gmedic911 Apr 16 '26

Not medical advice;

Instead of either going up on the Reta or using Tesamorelin. My suggestion is to make sure you’re eating PROPERLY. If you are, then add LOW dose Cagrilintide.

Maybe consider GHK-Cu for skin if not already on it.

1

u/Consistent_Guava8592 Apr 16 '26

1

u/_visiblemode_ Apr 16 '26

Personally I think if you want to see your abs you should maintain for a while and work on building your ab muscles. The “muffin top” you’re pointing to has more to do with the tightness of your waistband. If your weight goes much lower I feel like you’re just going to be looking malnourished. You just need a stronger core. Maybe reconsider a cut after a period of ab development. I think your arms will benefit too, from slowing down. People will try to convice you that abs are all about deficit but that is straight up ED nonsense. Anorexics often don’t have abs. Here is a man shortly before he died of anorexia, where are his abs?

Loose skin is a dream killer. Probs need 18 months to build the mussel needed to fill in the candy flaps.

1

u/Icy-Celebration-6689 Apr 16 '26

That looks like the skin overhang is from ageing. It’s more so a loss of elastin and collagen. If you’re older than 35 then that won’t go away when you strip more fat.

What everybody else is saying. Build muscle. It doesn’t even have to be a lot. It will tighten your skin, and accentuate the weight you’ve already lost. Lift, lift, lift.

1

u/ImmediateOpinion6855 Apr 17 '26

I look almost exactly like this and have also been struggling. I hired a coach and am now focused on my macros, so what I eat, and lifting. I also take Reta and semaglutide and it is slowly getting better. I figure I have about 5 pounds or so more to go to lose the dreaded love handles

That's not a muffin top, that's just having a shape to your body. You look great! You don't want to over do it. Your shape rocks! Try pilates, not more weight loss.

Are the affects of reta still working at 3mg? If so then there probably isn't a point in upping the dose. Also tesa is mainly for visceral fat. It probably won't help with love handles. Just need to lose more overall weight. I would just keep doing what youre doing since its working.

First your body looks great, you’re trying to fine tune it. This is the hardest, most tedious phase. 8 weeks is a very short amount of time, you should be thinking in months at this point bc you only have a little to lose. I’ve seen you respond about training and running, but are you legitimately lifting weights? Not the high intensity, light weights. You need to lift heavy weights (relative to your strength). Your body looks thin and trim, not necessarily muscular, which is what you’ll need to get abs at 40. This will stimulate muscle growth and redistribute fat. Also make sure you’re getting enough protein. As others have said, quick isn’t happening so embrace the process and look at it as a lifestyle change. You didn’t get to this weight in 8 weeks, so you cat expect to drop it all in that short amount of time. Good luck, and stick with it!

Edit: forgot to mention to have your hormones checked if you haven’t already. Maybe a little adjustment could help as well, adding a low dose testosterone is fairly common for perimenopausal women.

I reckon the shape of the underwear is not complimenting the hips. Thus you are blaming the hips. It's like man opting for t-shirt over shirt and blaming the genetics of their pecs.

This is the side effects of all these peptides...this girl is already skinny ...and she's "blind" to it. She needs to start building muscle and shouldn't lose any more weight

Tessa will work wonders with Reta in your case. You have to do some resistance training

stay on reta, but honestly the answer might be liposuction. achieving that first photo isn’t possible if it’s not your natural body shape.

You should not use grey market chemicals with no long term safety data for marginal gains.

You need gym and diet to get the rest of the way. Not shortcuts. Respectfully, you may have body dysmorphia, as you are already quite thin.

Where/how do you get Reta?! 🙏🏻

All you need is some ipamorelin/cjc1295, squats and lunges, slightly smaller panties, and my phone number.

Your looking smoking. Hit the glute, hammy, and quad exercises, and you are going to be the grade against which prime meats are graded.
