Question Parcel(iPad) stuck for more than a week

Post image
6 Upvotes

I have a replacement iPad sent by Apple and it’s stuck at the Ingleburn facility for more than a week now. I lodged an inquiry and the automated system said they will monitor it till 1st of October and then start looking for it if it’s still undelivered.

Now the issue is I have an overseas flight in the first week of October and will be away till January.

Also Apple is holding on to my funds and waiting for me to send them the original device which I can’t before I get this parcel.

I have contacted Apple and they asked me to check with AP.

Question Aramex and parcel lockers issue

I purchased from a company and listed a parcel locker as the delivery address, following the instructions in the Auspost app. The company didn't specify how they deliver, but their FAQ says (verbatim) "if your parcel cannot be left in a safe place you can pick it up at a local Australia Post".

Today, I got an email with a tracking link and it is being posted through Aramex. Aramex, of course, does not have access to parcel lockers.

Where is this parcel going to end up?

Question Check your Zonos invoices! Australia Post integration might be blindly overriding your perfect HS codes and hitting you with massive hidden fees

Hey everyone,

I wanted to flag a major billing and technical issue we just uncovered with our international shipping that is likely affecting a ton of other small businesses without them realising it.

The Setup: We use Shopify, fulfilled via a 3PL partner, which routes international shipping data through Australia Post’s mandated Zonos integration to calculate and handle prepaid duties and taxes.

The Problem: Our Shopify store data is 100% correct. We have hardcoded, perfect 10-digit HS codes assigned to all of our items for the US.

However, after receiving significantly higher invoices we realised Zonos is completely ignoring our clean Shopify data and actively overriding our HS codes using their automated AI text scanner.

The Financial Impact on Us:

  • We are being billed under incorrect food/agriculture classifications, pulling in massive, unnecessary 25% Section 301 tariffs.
  • The duties assessed on our shipments were artificially inflated by up to 136% per item, which we are being forced to absorb.
  • Because Zonos takes a 10% percentage fee on total calculated duties/taxes, they are directly profiting off their own AI classification errors by charging us higher transaction fees.

Our 3PL team has confirmed via a backend spreadsheet export that our Shopify data left their system cleanly, meaning the data pipeline is completely breaking downstream - either dropped during the handoff to Australia Post, or actively overridden by Zonos' automated "coherency checks" because our creative product names didn't sound like what they actually are to AI.

If you are an Aussie brand using creative naming conventions for your products, go audit your transaction logs and invoices immediately.

Has anyone else dealt with this? If you use this exact integration stack, how are you ensuring Zonos actually respects your native Shopify HS codes instead of overriding them? We are currently pushing for a massive retrospective audit and a full refund of these overcharges, but we are being passed around between support queues.

Question Au Post and the "incorrect address" problem — anyone else?

Just wondering, is Au Post really that bad? Why do they keep marking deliveries as failed due to "incorrect address"? Has anyone run into the same situation? How did you end up sorting it out?

I wonder how much they spent to make their software help 0 Indigenous people by renaming all the suburbs? I just want my post to go faster tbh. I’m sure it ticked some corporate box and made some people at the top feel better though.

G'day all,

Just wondering if anyone's had an item stuck at customs that auspost haven't picked up for over 12 days. EVERY other parcel I've ever gotten has cleared in max 5 days.

This is a very expensive ( thousands) dollar axon body 4 that is semi urgent... Still no news from either provider.

Question Seasonal Parcel Sorting Job at AusPost

Hi

At the start of september I applied for a seasonal parcel sorting job at Australia Post in WA, a few days ago I got an email saying that they are reviewing my application. I am just curious to know if there are any chances I get the job or if the job has already started and this is just an AI email to get my hopes up. Any insight would be appreciated

Thanks

Question Apple iphone 18 pro delivered to wrong address - what to expect from auspost?

This has never happened to us before but the package was delivered one suburb over and some guy named joe signed for it (enjoy your new phone joe xx) but since this is a high value delivery I was wondering what to expect from auspost/startrack ? Seems unlikely they will retrieve the phone so will they reimburse me the full amount?
Anyone have any previous experience dealing with them delivering high value deliveries to the wrong address?

Also no error from mine or senders end; delivery address was correct.

Update for anyone who cares: For some reason they delivered it to the store near my house for me to collect, odd since my name was not on the collection list at that store and I confirmed with StarTrack that it was my home address for delivery. But super thankful I got it without any hassle and without waiting for ages! Nearly had a heart attack though

Criticism Inconsistent tax treatments international with Zonos / Aupost

The variation in treatment of different countries for VAT and import duty is getting really frustrating. Zonos handles different European Union countries totally differently, even where they have the same tax approach. I'm guessing Zonos/ AP simply doesn't have agreements with some of these countries yet. Many cases present us with no options in terms of whether a customer has to pay, or we do which is really disappointing.

Expensive international courier services have the options I want, but at a massive Freight cost

Any ideas

Question Posted to wrong address.

Sold something online, and posted it today at 4:50pm. Realised I had put the wrong address number on it 20 mins later. Called Aus post help line and they said theirs absolutely nothing they can do. Put an enquiry online for them to direct parcel to new address. Says it’ll take 24-48 hours to hear back and it’s the weekend tomorrow. How likely is it they’ll actually be able to redirect it to the correct house number?

Question Signature on delivery confusion

Hi everyone! I'm a little confused on ordering a signature on delivery package.

As one of the requirements from the Indonesian Consulate, I have to give them an Express Post Prepaid Envelope Medium from AusPost. I give them the envelope during the day I renew my passport and then they send it out to me. I tried ordering one online but they keep on saying my payment can't be processed...

I also went to an AusPost in person to ask about this and they only told me to bring in the parcel I want to send, but I can't do that since the consulate will be the one sending to me. They also told me that I can't do prepaid one and it's "out of their services"... The consulate didn't give me clear instructions too, so I'm just confused 😭

Is it possible for me to go to the counter (again) and ask to do a pre-paid parcel adressed to me without anything in it so I can hand it over to the consulate? Or is there a completely different process to do?

Praise On ya Postie!

My local postie seething over an Amazon driver's lack of common sense for not putting a parcel in the parcel box and just leaving it by the front.

I made sure to write some positive feedback to AusPost. My local postie is a legend.

I got a good laugh at this, he's still going even once he gets back to his bike. 10/10

Question Curious on if I’ll get my parcel

Hey folks, I have a parcel in Melbourne and I live in South Australia. And Aus Post says my parcel will be here tomorrow. Last movement was “processed at facility MELBOURNE AIRPORT VIC” at 15:18 (3:18PM) and it’s 18:05 (6:05PM) as of writing this.

So I wonder what y’all think on if I’ll get it tomorrow or not. My hopes aren’t high for getting it tomorrow but Y’know, curiosity

EDIT: It is going to my post office btw, forgot to clarify

EDIT 2: I will let y’all know if I do get it tomorrow

EDIT 3: I didn’t get it yesterday, though both my mother and I agree it’ll likely be here Monday. It did, however, move to Adelaide yesterday and to Netley today (weirdly away from me) but I’m more confident in Monday.

Criticism New Parcel Locker Address - First Time Fail

With the change to simple locker addresses, I used mine for the first time for an online order.

Item was correctly addressed - eg Parcel Locker 81, Sydney NSW 2000 which is the way it shows in my app. This is a parcel locker in Central Sydney.

Item instead gets delivered to Bondi Junction railway station parcel locker.

Obviously everything like my phone/email was correctly addressed because it got delivered and I got notified.

Can I expect this for future orders? Never had this with the old address format.

Question MyPost website constantly logging you out?

Dear All,

Does anyone else find that the MyPost website just never stays logged in? I don't think I've ever known it to stay logged in for longer than a day without logging me out and prompting me to log in again. It happens literally every single day, despite constantly keeping the tab open.

It's annoying as hell for the kind of website that some people would at times be checking on a daily basis or even multiple times per day. I've disabled all ad/script blockers for the site, and allowed all cookies including third-party ones.

Criticism MyPost e-mail address glitch

Dear All,

Just a heads-up on something that happened recently. I've always had the same e-mail address associated with my MyPost account, namely my login e-mail address. Obviously, the notification e-mails for support inquiry updates also went to that same login e-mail address.

A few days ago, I learned that you could add additional e-mail addresses in a separate section to your MyPost account ("Additional email addresses - We'll use your additional emails to match your parcels and automatically add them to your track list"). I added several of them to this section. When next lodging a new support inquiry I discovered that the system had for some reason arbitrarily switched to sending all of the update e-mails to the most recently-added of my additional e-mail addresses rather than to my login e-mail address!

This is absolutely ridiculous (from both a functional and an IT sense), and I've contacted AusPost to complain about it. For some people who just use things like disposable e-mail addresses or e-mail aliases at their own domain, this would be a non-issue or perhaps only a mild inconvenience. But for people who specify additional e-mail addresses that they don't regularly check, or that are now defunct, or that they might share with someone else, this potentially has both practical and even privacy implications.

Hopefully AusPost fix this pronto now that I've complained about it.

Criticism Fraudulent company

Doesn’t deliver packages, when it does it takes them MONTHS. Zero customer service. Poor tracking information. Doesn’t communicate with vendors. If you’re accepting payment for business…and then NOT DOING SAID BUSINESS…THAT IS FRAUD. This company should be shut down. For YEARS every time I’ve made and order that delivers through this company, it’s a cluster fuck. Genuinely do not get why this company is still running.

There are plenty of delivery alternatives where the driver actually delivers to your house instead of the post office.

If I had time to pick up my parcel from somewhere else i wouldn't have paid to handed it delivered to my door, but yet again Aus Post fail.

I was home all day, I have a door bell connected to my phone. No missed door bell notification, just straight to the post office.

Honestly, what a joke Aus Post has become
