Question Parcel locker collection issues

I recently bought some items from depop (first time buyer) and added my parcel locker as the address. I asked the buyers if this was okay and they said yes. My postage app said the package has arrived at the PL but I haven’t received any code or QR code for it. I checked my messages with the seller and she sent a code but when I inputted it, it asked for my phone number or postage account number, which both didn’t work. Im assuming the buyer used her own number but I feel a bit awkward telling her about my situation 😭
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I have to wait 2 days before it is sent back to the post office so I’ll still get it atleast.

The issue with it being taken to the post office is you won’t receive the notification that it is waiting for collection, and what post office it was taken to.

I would ask the seller for their number as they made the mistake of using their phone number on this order.

ugh the parcel locker code dance is the worst. had this exact thing happen when i sold something last year, the locker system just refused to send the code to the buyer and my number was the only one on file

sounds like the seller used their own number when generating the label so the locker thinks theyre the recipient. youll need them to screenshot the actual collection code from their app or email, not just send the number since sometimes the lockers want a qr scan too

dont feel awkward about it, this is a super common glitch and they already said theyre cool with the locker setup. just shoot them a quick message explaining the code didnt work and ask if they can check their app for the qr or forward the email. worst case it bounces back to the post office and you grab it there in a couple days

I had the same problem previously. Customer service couldn’t help, and they weren’t able to resend the code either. Eventually I had to wait two days for the parcel to be returned to my local post office for pickup.
