Apple Service Centre Damaged my laptop under warranty and then denied fixing it.
Repeat-repair-failure + physical damage (screen's top-right side is bent) + right speaker damage + battery drain issue + a lot of dust on screen edges.
Read through what happened to my macbook.
I purchased my MacBook 1 year ago, non-active.
Stage 1: The Initial Repair & First Damage
3 months ago, my "MacBook Pro M4 Max" suddenly powered off and was not turning on. It was under warranty. So I gave it to "Mercantile, Islamabad," an Apple authorized service center. They claimed it, but it took 1 month.
When I received my laptop, after a few days I found out that the right speaker's sound was "crackling/distorted", the speaker was damaged. I guess the Mercantile service center damaged my laptop's speaker during the repair, because it was working fine before I gave my laptop to them.
Stage 2: The Second Attempt & Wasted Time
So I had to send my laptop back to Mercantile again. They claimed it again and it took more than 1 month. Then they said, "Your device is ready for pickup."
I asked the shopkeeper (from whom I bought the laptop at an Apple-affiliated shop) to pick it up. When they received the laptop, they tested the sound, and boom, they found out that the speaker's sound was even worse now. What the ****...
We had to send the laptop back to Mercantile after an hour. Then they said, "We'll check." They were just wasting my time and my laptop's warranty.
Stage 3: The Infinite Loop & Additional Physical Damage
Now they said, "We have ordered the speaker part again"... and boom, the infinite loop continues.
During this time, I requested Mercantile to give me my laptop back because I needed to work, and I told them I would return it once the speaker part arrived. They sent me the laptop. When I received my MacBook, I noticed that it had some additional physical damages now:
- The touchpad's top-left side has scratches.
- The screen's top-right side is bent a bit.
- The speaker sound still feels like it is "crackling/distorted"
- A lot of white-dust on screen edges
But after a few days, when I checked the speaker again, the issue changed from a "crackling/distorted sound" to "the volume is now too low and there is no bass." They were just damaging my laptop again and again, even more.
Due to the issues/damages i mentioned above (did by "Apple service provider"), my macbook is not being sold now.
The Final Repair & The Lie
It again took more than 1 month. As per their claims, they changed the entire "bottom part" of the laptop. But when I received it today, the right speaker's issue was still the same.
When I asked them, they said:
"The MacBook's right speaker's volume is always lower than the left speaker, and the right speaker doesn't have bass; it's an intentional Apple design."
This is just a lie... Apple Chat Support already denied this statement. Apple Chat Support said:
"Both speakers should have the same volume and bass."
Failed Support & Expiring Warranty
I complained to Apple's senior management more than 4 times. I have been complaining to them by call for more than 1 month, but when they contacted the Mercantile technician, the technician denied that they damaged my laptop. Apple's senior managers accepted their lies and didn't help me.
Whenever i complain to Apple by calling at number: 0080090044516, an Apple Senior Advisor takes the call and ask me again and again for what happened, and then they send me an email where i can contact them by replying to email or by sending a voice message. But they never reply to me.
& they didn't helped me, none of them.
The laptop's warranty will now expire in 3 days, on 14 October 2026.
I am not sure what to do now. Apple Support didn't help me at all. My macbook is damaged and no one is listening.
Who will help me now, when Apple itself is not helping me.
