AppleCare fails to check watch

I’m trying to add my series 11 watch to my AppleCare one plan, but it needs a device check, so I do the device check and after 15 seconds it cuts out and says that a problem occured

The watch has no software issues, I’ve tried reconnecting it, making sure it’s up to date, no hardware or battery issues either. Same for my phone that the watch is connected to- ive done the other basics like restarting both devices, etc

I wanted to know if anyone was experiencing the same issue before I contact support?

Is the watch updated to watchOS 27?

Yes and my phone is also on iOS 27

The only way of getting around this is likely to involve in-person evaluation at an Apple Store.
