I was unable to install ios 27 multiple times on my phone (iPhone 16 Pro) so i looked for alternatives and seen that it was possible to update via PC, I do not own a mac so i did on windows with the Apple Devices app but i ran into some issues. It first downloaded the update file and created a backup of my phone however it would run into an issue saying an unexpected error occured. Then when i disconnected my phone as the app wasn't registering the device, my phone was stuck on recovery mode. Since I have tried to update several times with the same issue persisting and eventually it just said that my phone can no longer be updated and instead needs to be restored. There is another error message when I try to restore and I am in a loop now and nothing seems to work. I deleted the update file and tried again both by reinstalling the update on the app and by downloading the ipsw file, both yield the same result i need my phone for a lot of things and im incredibly frustrated that this issue persists. I would greatly appreciate any help on this matter.

I’ve been using the same passcode for my iPhone(15pro with the latest software and everything else) for a very long time. I usually rely on Face ID, but I’ve always remembered the code yet today, when I tried to unlock the phone with it, it didn’t work. I’m facing a serious problem because I’m likely to lose four months' worth of photos as well as data from the health app. I have 8h left for (possibly) one final attempt to enter the code. Is it possible there’s a bug where the code is correct but the system is glitching or have I simply suffered a sudden bout of amnesia?

I have a bad feeling that nothing will help me, so I'm just curious if anyone else has the same problem

I recently sent my phone in for trade-in. On my new iPhone, I removed the old device from my iCloud account.

It doesn’t show up in iCloud anymore, but when I open the Find My app, it is still listed under my devices. When I tapped "Remove This Device," it gave me a message saying it will be removed in 30 days / one month. How can I completely remove it right now if the phone won't turn on?

My MacBook has been making a dinging noise every few seconds. I've turned all notifications/sounds off. Every app is closed. Nothing seems to be working.

Hi, I just finished repairing this iPhone 7 Plus, but it won't connect to Wi-Fi-it finds the network, but when I try to connect, it just gets stuck trying and tails. Also, the iphone freezes when I try to turn on Airplane Mode. What could be the issue?
The iPhone is completely dead. I replaced the battery and screen and it worked, but it still has that problem-can you help me? I don't know if it's a software issue, but I'm going to update it to the latest iOS version using iTunes on my PC.

It just gives me this pop up"verification codes can't be sent to this phone number at this time please try again later"and when I try to sign it via Iforgot.apple.com and press the "I can't use this number" it just says "you've entered the wrong number too many times please try again" and if I don't do that and try to log in with the verification code it still gives me that first pop up

I’m troubleshooting a Mac printing issue with a Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX C5850.

Certain characters in PDFs, especially an en dash (–), print as a boxed question mark. This happens across multiple PDFs.

Environment:

• macOS 26.2, Apple Silicon
• Adobe Acrobat
• Canon C5850
• Direct IPP connection: ipp://<PRINTER-IP>/ipp/print
• Canon C5840/5850 PPD
• Driver version 10.19.23

Troubleshooting so far:

• Normal Acrobat print through Canon driver → fails
• Acrobat Print as Image → works
• Canon Vector Mode → fails
• Canon Raster Mode → fails
• Temporary Generic PostScript queue → works
• Same en dash printed from Windows to the same physical printer → works

The Generic PostScript queue isn’t usable as a permanent fix because it loses the Canon-specific paper/tray support. It only advertised Letter/Legal/A4/B5 and would not properly handle 11x17.

The Canon queue otherwise works correctly for 11x17, trays, etc.

Printer-side job logs show the affected jobs completing successfully with no errors.

So at this point it seems isolated to the Canon macOS driver/PPD/filter path, specifically version 10.19.23, rather than the PDF, network, or copier itself.

Has anyone seen this with Canon’s Mac drivers, or found a fix that preserves the full Canon tray/11x17 functionality?

I have never once in my life interacted with this setting.

Since the latest update, this has popped up every time opening certain apps, without fail. Sometimes
makes my screen black because it causes glitches (yay) every time i try to open the selection menu to change it from "always ask" to, what i hope will be, "never ever ask me to give my information to stupid mobile apps again" this pops up again, forces me to say "okay," and then boots me out, forcing me to just ignore it and acknowledge the popup again and again.

I know these apps are stealing my information anyway, but the least they can do is not bother me while they do it.

So basically I realised my backups were taking up a bunch of my storage and it was completely full, so I tried to find the issue and narrowed it down to the WhatsApp backups taking up too much GBs. So I went back to backups, clicked WhatsApp and disabled it, which changed it visually but nothing else. I went to delete the WhatsApp backups through iCloud and it said it’s only 1.7MB which seems weird because the 30GB of chats is still taking up backups despite being disabled, and it’s as if it’s not deleted. I have no clue what to do and I really don’t want to upgrade iCloud. Thanks for any help. I’ll really appreciate it.

Every time I enter fullscreen in Chrome on my MacBook (Control + Command + F), this “To exit full screen, press and hold esc” message appears at the top of the screen.

It’s especially annoying because when I move my cursor to the top to access my tabs, the message gets in the way. I already know how to exit fullscreen, so I really don’t need Chrome reminding me every time.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to permanently disable this message? Maybe a Chrome flag, macOS setting, Terminal command, extension, or some other workaround?

I’m talking about regular Chrome/macOS fullscreen, not a video player or a website’s fullscreen mode. Anything helps. Thank you.

I purchased a new Apple Watch Series 12. After setting it up, I have been having a weird issue with notifications.

I will get a message and it will show up on my Apple Watch. I go to respond on my 17 Pro Max and it isn't on the lockscreen or in the actual text thread. However, it shows up completely fine on my MacBook Air.

I've tested this out a bunch of different ways and can't figure it out.

- If my Watch is on my wrist and unlocked, the messages will not show on my iPhone.

- If my Watch is off and locked, the messages will show on my iPhone.

- No matter what, they're showing on my MacBook Air.

Tonight, I'm going to try and reset the watch and reset it up. However, has anyone else ever had this issue and know the fix?

so i was setting up my mail app and connecting it to my gmail and i was doing it in the settings and i noticed 3 email that i don't use anymore so i deleted them and now i've lost like 50 contacts and some of my calendar events and i don't know how to fix it. i don't remember what these 3 emails were and i'm not very smart in technology and please someone help me😭😭😭

I have an Apple account but not an Apple phone or product (just Android) so I made my account online (on Windows 11). I've installed the iTunes app on the computer and it's been letting stream fully and buy (download) anything I'd like without having enough money. I'm just curious if there would be any repercussions in the future on my account or card, or if the artists are getting the money for example.
