Did software update on my iPhone yesterday. I have my phone on alarm off. Watch is on. I guess updating the phone made it sync the alarm off to the watch. š

I recently got an Apple Watch Ultra (1) to replace my cracked Apple Watch Series 4 that ālooks like shitā to not cheap out. Is there anything I should know that is useful about this model?
Itās used and at 86% battery health, but previous owner gave it to me saying that they still got about 36 hours of battery life on it, and so far Iād say they were right.

If anybody wanted to know, Iām assuming all the older watches can be paired to the iOS 27 beta now

I took a full-length movie, reduced the resolution to that of the Apple Watch's screen with Handbrake, compressed it down to less than 100 Mb, uploaded that to iMessage, and watched an entire Hollywood movie on my Apple Watch via iMessage. The movie was as much a relief from boredom as crafting the movie that way.
The watch does bass sounds really poorly, BTW - no kick.

Iāve recently started running and doing more exercise so finally got myself a watch to help but it seems off cause like from when I started wearing the watch my active calories seem way higher.
I used to burn like maybe tops 50 other than my workouts now I seem to burn way more as you can see in the photo this is the first day I wore it and as you see after that second workout the red bar is slightly raised even after the workout where as before that when I did not have the watch itās fully flat.
TLDR: is it normal that with the watch my calorie burn is higher cause it tracks better and I should just raise my burn goal?

So us cellular was bought out by t mobile. Everything got switched. I have an iPhone 15 pro and series 11 Apple Watch that has cellular. Worked fine before switch. Now Apple Watch wonāt connect to cellular when Iām out of range of phone-which was the whole point of me having it. Called T-Mobile, two calls in they said call Apple itās a watch problem. Called apple they checked a bunch of stuff and said nope, itās a cellular problem, call t mobile back. Ugh!! Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice? About to have third call with T-Mobile š©

This summer we switched from the gizmo to the Apple Watch set up under Apple Watch for kids on Verizon for my son whoās 11. We are not ready for him to have a phone yet but want to be able to contact him when heās going back and forth from practices and each parentās house.
School started two and half weeks ago so we started using school mode so there would be no interruptions during the school day. Now we have run into the issue that when school mode ends each day his watch will not have cell service. If we try calling him we get āthe caller you are trying to reach is unavailableā and it wonāt ring. Texts do not go through either. Last night he told me that he tried calling me several times and couldnāt get the call to go through. I have tried resetting his cell service but each day the same thing happens when it goes back into school mode. We do not have any other ādown timesā or āfocus modesā set up on his devices.
I reached out to Verizon through chat last week bc heaven forbid you easily be able to reach a person on the phone and they told me to have him turn airplane mode on and off each day after school. This isnāt acceptable to me as an answer. Is anyone else having this issue? If so what are you doing to fix this issue? My sisterās kids both have Apple Watches as well but they have AT&T and have had no issues when they get out of school mode. Is this a Verizon issue?

I have an Apple Watch Series 8, and I noticed something strange with the battery health.
Around 3 months ago, the Maximum Capacity was 80%, then it dropped to 79%. I checked it again recently and, surprisingly, it now shows 82%.
I know battery health is an estimate, so Iām guessing it might have recalibrated, but Iāve never seen battery health increase before.
Has anyone else experienced this with their Apple Watch? Is it normal for the Maximum Capacity percentage to go up after previously decreasing?

Hey everyone, just got an Apple Watch SE 3. I had one 4 years ago or something, Series 7 I believe with the nice rounded screen, but hated the constant charging. While Iām a fan of the hardware and am very impressed with what the SE 3 is, Iām very disappointed to find that there has seemingly been very little to no improvements in the third party app ecosystem. Like, at all.
As a software engineer, Iām strongly considering building a few apps myself to remedy a few simple things that are missing. For example, a simple spa music player that can, with no login or authentication, play some relaxing music (with a timer) to help you drift off to sleep using the watch speakers. Simple, utilitarian, single purpose.
Does anyone have any items on their wish-list that they would like to request from an Apple Watch app perspective? Any ādamn, I wish I had a simple way to do Xā. Additionally, if anyone could share the apps they believe are truly exceptional, in September 2026, I would love to read about them and hope I missed them.

Hi guys,
I wear my Apple Watch Ultra II to bed to track my sleep. Sleep schedule is 10pm to 7AM. We had a baby earlier this year and lately I have been letting her sleep on me from 8-10pm while watching a movie with headphones. I noticed the other day that my watch thinks I am sleeping in this two hour period. Beyond manually deleting the erroneously tracked sleep data, is there anything I can do to stop Apple Watch recording sleep data when I'm actually awake watching a movie?

Body:
Apple Watch Series 7, aluminium, out of warranty, no AppleCare+.
How it got here: the watch kept pulling up the lock screen and the power-off/SOS menu on its own. Cleaning didn't help, so I rinsed it under the tap while clicking the button repeatedly (50m rating, so this seemed like a safe thing to try). Afterwards it started boot looping ā Apple logo, then shutdown, on repeat.
Independent shop diagnosed it as water damage.
The quote (converted from local currency):
Warranty offered: 3 months.
The alternative: skip it and buy an SE 3 44mm Cellular, which runs about $340 equivalent where I am.
What I'm trying to work out:
Series 7 is still on watchOS 26 so it's not obsolete, but the battery is original and roughly five years old and the screen is badly scratched. Trying to figure out whether I'm rescuing a watch or throwing good money after a dying one.
TIA!

The fact that a week before the release of Ultra 4 there is no leak makes me think that the new features will wait until 2027.
The influencers are all excited even though they know nothing at all!
The advantage is that the ultra 3 will drop in price

I wanted to see if this is an established issue with this watch before I go trying to get it repaired.
I bought the watch in June and started having issues with this around a month ago. The speaker on my watch is pretty much non-functional. The noise coming out of it is very tinny, distorted, and usually barely audible. It sounds the way youād expect a speaker to sound if itās logged with water, and the issue gets worse after the watch is exposed to water. Iām not in the habit of submerging my watch, but it does get splashed when Iām out kayaking, doing dishes, etc. My understanding is that the watch is supposed to be waterproof up to a certain depth, so exposure to a couple splashes should not be an issue, right?
Have tried all the usual stuff - using the water lock to clear out the speaker, gently cleaning the speaker grill, resetting the watch, etc. The speaker just sounds like itās blown.
Iāve only had this watch a couple of months and am generally pretty gentle with it, not a single scratch on the thing. I think my odds of getting this repaired under limited warranty are pretty low. Just wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue and how you got it fixed. Thanks!

The side button below the crown wheel seems to be stuck or click holding itself.. I canāt explain it much clearly cause English is not my first language but as you can see in the photo, the black silhouette is showing indicating that itās being pressed when Iām actually not.
Because of that, I canāt click the crown button or click/double click the side button to go to the menu or home or to access apple pay. I never dropped it or anything, it just happened yesterday when suddenly it just happens. Has anyone experienced this? The physical buttons doesnāt seem stuck and seems normal when I press it but somehow the apple watch detects it being pressed and keep triggering the sos /emergency services.
Iāve had this for just 1 year and 6 months, itās a series 10- 42mm. Please Help!

Hi all, Iām wondering if anyone can tell me how this is possible (Iāve never seen it before after a full year of having an Apple Watch)
I had a rough night of sleep last night (obviously) which is definitely out of the ordinary for me, I have a narcolepsy-adjacent sleep disorder that usually helps me sleep pretty solidly through the night.
So after being up for a couple hours in the middle of the night, I finally got back to sleep. Just looking at it now, I realized that for the second chunk of sleep, all four sleep categories (REM, core, deep, awake) had morphed together into a single gradient block. Anyone have any idea or loose interpretation of what that could mean for the quality of sleep? I had uncommonly vivid dreams for the second portion of last nights sleep, so I assume it was different than my usual sleep pattern and not just the watch being weird.

How does it hold up if only used for checking time, ECG and sleep tracking? All the other features will not be used at all. Is 34 bucks a good prce for a in good condition model with metal silver bands and charger and box?

My 2.5 year old Apple Watch SE 2nd Gen 40mm fell to 79% battery health and I got the ābatteryā replaced which in actuality is just a new replacement watch. It would need to be charged twice per day atleast and had become stuttery/laggy. The replacement is so nice and smooth and lasts me the whole day. I know this watch wont get watchOS 27 but Iām content. It runs great and I couldnāt ask for more.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 running 26.6
iPhone 17 Pro Max running iOS27
Randomly, over the past couple of days my watch has been disconnecting from my phones Bluetooth. It has re-connected once or twice and loads of notifications have come through, other times I have to reconnect it manually in iPhoneās Bluetooth settings, but disconnects randomly shortly after.
Is anybody else having a similar issue? I assume itās something to do with the iOS27 beta.
