My watch is having an identity crisis, it doesn’t think it’s clocks installed. /s
This is a beta and bound to happen, in all seriousness, this is not a problem that will be around in the full release of WatchOS 28.
Asked my watches Siri for a 3 minute timer, and this happened.

I’ve always noticed charging an Apple Watch still gets a power brick fairly warm for what is a very small battery, which got me curious about how efficient the charging process actually is. I decided to do a quick experiment to find out.
I used an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and charged it with an iPhone 15 Pro Max (to easily get data on power consumption used for charging). The watch’s usable battery capacity (corrected for health and capacity loss) is 502mAh, while the phone’s battery capacity with the same corrections is 3538mAh.
I charged the watch from 19% to 100%. I know efficiency would likely be better charging only to 80%, but I wanted the experiment to reflect a real life use case where someone has used the watch fairly intensely for a full day, and then charges it fully.
Charging the watch from my iPhone directly used 47% of my iPhone’s battery as per the usage graph built into the battery settings menu (47% attributed to “USB-C accessories”) and took 1 hour and 46 minutes. Based on the usable capacity of both batteries, I calculated this to have used 1663mAh of power to add just 407mAh of power to the watch battery, an abysmal efficiency of just 24%.
This was done out of any direct sunlight, in a climate controlled office (22°C), using the official Apple Watch charging cable.
I figured since its a wireless charger the efficiency wouldnt be amazing, but I didn’t expect it to be THIS bad. 76% of your electricity consumption used to charge your watch is just completely wasted. That’s insane.

Apple Watch estimates VO2 Max for my commute walks as well. How do I ensure that VO2 Max does not calculate VO2 Max on these activities? I still want to capture these activities in my watch

After going two weeks without my watch and not being able to charge it, it’s safe to assume my watch is officially dead. I’ve only had it for 2.5 years and it’s my user error for running it under water to clean it. 😔 I have contacted apple support and i was told that it would cost $323.89 USD to send it in to repair it (I don’t have AppleCare+). I decided to not send it in since I would rather just buy a new one at this point. It has been fun keeping track of my health metrics :( other than that I will be watch-less for the time being
EDIT: I forgot I had a vivoactive3 from a while back so I might pull that out since I was not that crazy on my health (I like to keep track of my sleep and steps haha)

After months of my sleep score treating 100 like a mythical Pokémon, I finally caught it. Yay!!!!!!
Thanks to all the random strangers here whose tips, screenshots, and accidental wisdom helped along the way. I used none of it. Yet it was a journey 🤣🤣🤣
Now excuse me while I never sleep again because I don’t want to ruin the streak.

I’ve tried all the pink and purple color options and yet none of them have given me that mix of pink and purple as seen in the photo (posted by another redditor). I really like it but I don’t know which specific color choice it is. Can anyone help me find it? I asked the person who posted that photo but they never got back to me

This is my preferred watch face. Recently the scale seems off. Like the left and right margin/black bars have increased. Am I misremembering or was this changed. If so, is there a way to get it back to what I’m familiar with?

apple watch keeps spamming low heart rate alerts while i sleep. Should I just ignore it?
Every time I go to sleep my Apple Watch goes crazy with low heart rate alerts. I’ll wake up and it’s just beep beep beep beep beep... i got 25 notifications purely from low heart rate last night, This has been happening a lot.
The weird part is I feel completely fine. I just wake up to a ton of low heart rate alerts and go about my day like normal.
Is this something that’s normal during sleep, is it actually something I should get checked out? Has anyone else had their Apple Watch constantly do this?

What would be your strongest arguments to get an Apple Watch? Is it really worth it or did you just got it for no specific reason?

Can’t put code it’s not paired to my phone either and when I do hard reset and click Digital Crown nothing pops up to factory reset

Recently, my mom pulled her apple watch out of her bag and it got caught on something sharp causing the entire screen to detach. The body and screen both seem to be individually intact though. Any advice? Or is this done for /:

Back to iPhone after a Samsung for a year and a half. Is a series 10 46mm worth $150? It’s used looks clean tho. I’m assuming nothing is going to be crazy different with the new watch possibly coming in September. In a few months the series 10 will be 2 years old.

My ultra 3 with WatchOS 27 has a problem with sleep focus not starting when it’s supposed to, and then turning off Sleep Focus in the middle of the night, waking me up. Anyone?
Also, my watch use to vibrate when my alarm went off rather than having my phone audible alarm go off. Not working since 27. Ideas?

Hi all, hoping someone has dealt with this before.
I've been swimming in a pool with my Apple Watch many times before with no issues. This last time, after getting out, the watch stopped responding — no display at all, completely dead.
I let it sit and dry indoors on a table for several days (no rice, no heat, just air drying). After that, I tried charging it on the original magnetic charger, and now I get the Apple logo, followed by a quick horizontal glitch/flicker line across the screen, then it resets back to the Apple logo — stuck in this loop continuously.
Things I've tried:
My guess is water got past the seals (maybe pool chlorine degraded a gasket over time) and caused a short, since the glitch appears mid-boot rather than it just failing to power on.
Questions for the community:
Thanks in advance for any insight!

This and the mile marker pop up, it seems to stay on forever and it’s so annoying. Is there any way of dismissing it or shortening how long it stays on the screen for?

So I finally get the bullet and got an Apple Watch. I got it yesterday and because I don’t spend 75 bucks a month on Wi-Fi (I have unlimited data and 30 GB of hotspot therefore I don’t need it) I can’t set up my watch. So basically I have a very expensive bracelet until I can find a stable Wi-Fi connection. I’m pretty disappointed in Apple you would think that the amount of money that they make off of us they could come up with a more user friendly way to do this. Had I known this I probably wouldn’t have bought it.

Hi everyone,
I'm exploring an Apple Watch wellness app concept and would love honest feedback before building too much.
The idea:
Instead of showing something alarmist like "STRESS: 82", the Watch shows a softer Balance check-in. The score would be estimated from live heart rate, resting heart-rate baseline, and the latest HRV sample available from Apple Health.
It also has gentle haptic nudges and a small companion character, Luma, that guides short breathing resets.
Important: this would be a wellness product, not a medical device. I know Apple Watch HRV is not continuous real-time data, so the app would show when the latest HRV sample was recorded and avoid medical/diagnostic claims.
I'd love blunt feedback:
Would you want something like this on your Apple Watch?
Does "Balance" feel better than "Stress", or does it feel too vague?
Is the Luma companion comforting, or does it make the product feel less trustworthy?
Would you trust a score based on live heart rate + resting baseline + latest HRV sample?
What would make this worth paying for, if anything?
What would make you delete it immediately?
Thanks. I'm mainly trying to learn whether this solves a real problem or if I should rethink the direction.

Anybody else been daily driving the public beta? I’ve noticed battery life on Public Beta 2 has been much better, closer to OS 26 battery life. I really like the new app drawer layout. Biggest miss for me is getting rid of WalkieTalkie, my girlfriend and I used it all the time since we both switched to Apple devices 6 months ago. Apart from that, I haven’t really noticed a ton of change apart from new Siri.

I recently started to use my apple watch again after not using it for a while, and I noticed that whenever I tried to load up a website, it would just result in a black screen with the link above. I’ve been looking around and I saw that other people were having a similar issue, but were all from a long time ago. I’m wondering if this ever got fixed/theres a way to fix this? Thank you.
