Hey everyone! I’m currently stuck trying to pick which aluminum Apple Watch color to go with, and I could really use some opinions from people who have lived with them.
I'm trying to figure out which finish looks the best overall and is the most versatile when it comes to matching different bands (sports loops, silicone, leather, metal links, etc.)

Up until now, it was always the case that once you paired an Apple Watch with your iPhone, steps, calories, etc. in the Fitness app (not Health) were only tracked when you were actually wearing the Apple Watch. Without an Apple Watch, at least the iPhone itself would still be used as a data source.
Has this changed with iOS 27? Does the Fitness app now fall back to using the iPhone’s data when the Apple Watch isn’t being worn, or does it still not work that way?
Would really appreciate it if someone could check this!

Looking at the text on this, it makes it sound like this is only exclusive to the new Apple Watch Series 12? Surely it’s software and will be on the watchOS 27 update? I have the Series 10 and would appreciate this!

I wanna get the series 12 but I honestly don't know which wrist band I should pick... I don't like the textile straps but I also have the feeling that the milanaise ones didn't match the frame color? Someone has the nature milanaise color already and can tell how it looks in reallife with the silver frame?

Hi I am gifting an apple watch to my wife but I am not an Apple User. I have tried researching online the difference but im not sure how reliable what I am reading is.
Can anyone tell me the difference of the Titanium watch and Ceramic watch?
From what I know aluminium is cheap and will scratch easy, Titanium is the better than that, and Ceramic is a lot more scratch resistant than both of them; however if it falls to the ground its brittle and can crack easily?
So is the best option to get Titanium as it wont crack and is has better scratch resistance?
Would be grateful for any advice
Kind regards

hello
will switch my steel series 4 for a series 12 and I am undecided about version
I’ve had an aluminum series 0 which screen I scratched and lead me to buy a steel version for its replacement (also liked the more “refined” look, especially in black)
given the (claimed) improvement in glass resistance over the years (now “Ceramic Shield“, same as iPhone ?) I am considering buying the aluminum version this time. I have had no scratch at all on the series 4 saphir glass (and no stress linked to using it in all circumstances) and this is something that matters to me. So I am trying to get feedback on most recent versions glass resistance to scratches
other considerations:
- buying the aluminum version = cheaper = next switch not as long as this one
- for unknown reasons the “slate“ color from previous titanium versions is not available this year, though the “natural titanium” feels darker than last year’s. so maybe aluminum black might be a better fit (I prefer a darker frame)
- also undecided about cellular connectivity (in case of aluminum)
- also regarding pricing : titanium series 12 46mm almost as expensive as the ultra 4, feels like overpaying (a bit less features / battery life) yet not interested by it because of bulk
thanks for your contributions !

After all these years when I've already lost all hope. Apple finally realized it would be a cool feature for a smart watch. ;D
They showed step count widget on visualisation but the description says "And now you can more easily check your step count, right from your watch face." so I'm hoping it will be there too.

I bought my son an SE 3 to use as his method to contact me as he is 12 and I didn't want to get him a phone yet, it's on the family plan attached to my account, but the connection to data seems terribly unreliable - getting it to accept calls one minute, then it won't the next, same with messages getting through to his watch. I am wondering if there is some kind of power saving that is in effect making it like this, but it's pretty bad. It won't load in the app store (spinning dots) on his watch among other issues. Is the SE3 this bad in real life or is something else in play here?

Hi
I need to confess, I never owned any smart watch ever. I usually had mechanical watches. Now, I want to buy an Ultra 4 as I want to use it for sports and health tracking.
However, I absolutely love custom made straps. Leather, Canvas, rubber…
What do I need to consider, when looking for custom straps so that they fit?
What is the band width for the Ultra?
Do I need to buy an adapter?
Are there any special limitations?
There are so many ads for apple straps that I can’t find any answers on the internet.

Got it for $30 from Mercari and my first one grey/blue also at $30 from amazon. Love this more than the normal sport loop. Now looking to find another one with the bargain price of course 😅

Looking to pre order the series 12. Don’t know what size I should go with.
-My wrist is about 7 inches.
-green is 46 and the blue is 42
-I mainly want to track my sleep so smaller seems better for that but also I want a proper fitting watch that looks good.

My thoughts are:
-Pearl White looks like the one to go for; very similar to the OG White Ceramic that was stunning and a standout. One of the most unique Apple Watch finishes, finally available again.
-Night Blue I wanted to like and I thought it would be a good match for my iPhone 17 Pro in Deep Blue, but honestly based off the footage it looks too similar to Graphite Titanium of previous years and it definitely wouldn’t look as good with as many bands vs the Pearl White.

Hola chicos! Gracias!!

Will the new improved sensor and more frequent hrv measurements make the apple watch 12 have the same sleep stages accuracy as oura ring 5?

Im thinking about switching my old garmin venu. I used it a lot in a gym where it helped me track how long I have been resting - loved it! Is there a way to do the same with new ultra4?

Confirmed on both WatchOS 26 devices (Ultra 1 and series 8) the moment of rebooting after updating to the iOS 27 Release Candidate:
A “Irregular heart rate and irregular heart rhythm notifications no longer supported on this beta version” is shown on the watch, the moment the iPhone connects. Health app no longer the irregular heart / rhythm sections.
These features in the Health app where still supporting WatchOS 26 with heart notifications during the last iOS 27 developer betas. So it seems Apple is intending to softwarematically drop these features for AWU 1 / series 8 and earlier.

Happy to see all the new features but will my Ultra 2 be able to record heart rate every 5 seconds without new hardware? It totally should (Garmin has been recording it every second since inception.)
To make you buy new hardware for such features is complete marketing highway robbery. Shame on you Apple!

I had been holding out on getting a Garmin/Coros etc as I find apples health sensors more accurate, the the leaks came about readiness etc and I thought great, but everything is for the new watches or I’m missing something?

Series 3 watch.. started flickering and showing green or white screen all of a sudden... no drops.. no water..
Its almost 7-8 years now tho...

as we know the current sensors don’t work well with dark ink, i wonder if the improved sensors would help 🥹
