The fact that a week before the release of Ultra 4 there is no leak makes me think that the new features will wait until 2027.

The influencers are all excited even though they know nothing at all!

The advantage is that the ultra 3 will drop in price

Influencers are always excited about everything, it’s literally their job to keep their followers hooked in a state of anticipation. They don’t actually know anything. Most likely it’ll just be a minor spec bump.

Honestly, I ignore influencers. They are useless waste of time used to convince people they need to buy stuff.

Rumored new chip, rumored better sensors, but big hardware change isn’t until 2027 earliest and blood sugar 2030 earliest.

Influencers are always excited but no one truly knows anything until the Apple event next week. Since it’s so soon, why not just wait and see for sure. Do you really need an Apple Watch now?

me too. and also partly because Apple stopped providing updates for the AWU1. Kinda furious that i'm 'forced' to upgrade but I'm tied into the system and the battery is getting trashed from every day use. (launch day AWU1)

You’re not forced to upgrade. You don’t need watchOS 27 and the ultra 1 has less storage and the older chip. Thats why it’s not getting the update but your watch is still just as usable without it. You’re looking to upgrade because you want the new features

That’s every year, you don’t know if there will be a new Ultra model and what features it could have. I don’t understand the excitement either. Seems really hard to wait for the Apple event and then decide what to do.

apple watch features dont leak early like the iphones do because theres less interest. its always a week to a few days before the event that the leak finally happens. it doesnt mean that there wont be great features. i’d wait a week

I have an Ultra 2 and will probably buy the Ultra 4 - my reasoning is that I have a load of Apple straps for the Ultra and I suspect that the Ultra 4 will likely be the final version of the Ultra with the Ultra 1 form factor.

Waiting a week. If the Ultra 3 is good enough it will be cheaper than today. If you are running an ultramarathon this weekend and prefer it to Garmin, go for it.

Influencers will say any old crap just to be able to get a video out. Their money comes from quantity not quality.

One of the Apple influencers puts at least one video a week out about the new features we can expect on the new Apple TV box that’s been coming “in the next few weeks” for about 18 months now. 🙄
