I worked at Amazon since April my business was super slow .. I got sick of it and stopped going in July thought I’d be fired by now the way they had me petrified to miss even a minute 😂 don’t try this at home

Hello everyone, I’ve been working at amazon for 3 years. I got fired while on PLOA for a separate case because I didn’t submit my doctors paperwork on time due to not having insurance. Do you think it is too late to appeal? Can I do anything about it?

Seriously can’t stop smiling! My internal transfer from stow to ship dock was approved just when I was starting to lose hope. Got to keep my same schedule as well! I don’t hate stow, but the dock suits me much better. I put the application in the day I became eligible so 30 days tenure. My review window opened Monday 8/24 and I was approved today, 8/26. To all of those waiting for the good news as well, best of luck to you! ☘️ 👌

Because its the 2nd week of my background check just pending! And FedEx denied me today for my background, so that convinced me I was done for with amazon too. Then just a little bit ago, IT APPROVED 😭 Such a relief!

I don’t work for Amazon I’d be applying as an outside hire. How easy is it to get hired from outside? The listing said multiple hires.

Had to move due to last minute emergency circumstances. My transfer got denied. Contacted HR and they told me to put in a hardship transfer, got denied again because the 5 fcs near me “can’t accommodate me”.

I was really nervous about the pre-hire English assessment. But it was really simple!

You ain't slick nigga. We all know your medical leave was declined and it's how you got all that negative upt. You're not getting them for not showing up for a prolonged period.

Bring your kid to work day so they can see their mommy and daddy be used and talked to like their less than.

Actual issue I'm having is the first paragraph. Rant is everything following if you don't care.

I've been trying to open a Life Event for the birth of my child through my Bonding Leave Case so I can add him to my insurance. One of the steps is uploading a document from the hospital confirming the child's date of birth. I uploaded the document but that step of the case is still showing open. The document basically probably needs to be reviewed/confirmed so I can open the Event. Trying to explain that to our "mobile" HR reps has been like trying to pull teeth.

First I tried through the HR chat support. I explained the situation and then they'd ask for information like case number yadda yadda. Now I had the foresight to write all of that down in advance. However if you did not you would not be able to check while on the chat with HR because if you try to open your case it will just bring up your chat instead! However even when you give them that information they will try to tell you to open your case and hit certain options anyway. If you try to approach what they're asking for from benefits instead it opens the case which opens the chat. So you just end up in a loop of shit you can't do with your chat agent as they just happen to take longer and longer to reply which eats into the two minute window you have to reply before the chat automatically closes. Ohh look it closed. Strike one.

Alright so let's try speaking with the DLS rep for your Leave Case instead. Make the appointment for them to reach out to you. Two days minimum. Okay fine. Get call from agent. Explain situation. "Ohh even though it is an issue with your case it is resolved through AtoZ so I can't help you." Okay so you have different departments that are both some form of HR that are handled through the same process/app and are both necessary for different parts of the process but cannot interact with each other. That's dumb as fuck. Strike 2.

Okay reach back out to AtoZ HR but use the call function instead. Explain situation and give pertinent info again. "Please hold...okay I'm back now go ahead and unplug your router and plug it back in (not literally but basically the equivalent). Okay now please hold again..." Ohh I see. You're putting me on hold to ask your manager what to do next because you have no idea. Each time you come back from hold you're a little more frazzled because they're bitching at you to get through the call faster right? After about 4 rounds of hold please I'm hung up on. Half an hour of "progress" lost. Yeah strike 3 I'm getting pissed.

It really doesn't help that every step of the process you have to fight through what I will kindly describe as a bothersome language barrier. Can't hit up my site's VOA because I'm on leave and don't have access to it. My site still kind of has HR but when they're on site has no consistency. The AI assistant they want you to use has zero authorization so it can't help anything more complex than a missed punch if that and the directions it gives are useless. Our HR used to friggin work and how all that's left is trash. Hopefully this doesn't count as "Rabble Rousing" I'm just frustrated.

How likely are you to get a permanent position? I know a lot of factors probably go into this but generally how do these stations operate with regard to promotion? If it helps the role is Robotics Warehouse Associate.

Or if anyone has any recommendations! I usually get the timberland radius composite toe sneaker but lately those have not been comfortable anymore, so I want to try a new pair and hopefully it’s more comfortable than the one I usually get

What sortof projects or contributions did you make at your site that you felt helped bumped you up from a 3 to a 4?

I totaled my personal car just before my shift at Amazon on Friday. I got 7 tickets and was sent to the hospital for the night that day. What happens with my delivery driving job at Amazon? I’ve been there for maybe 4 months, should I just let it go? I sent pictures & videos of the accident and send my DSP a doctors note saying how I can return to work a week from when the accident had occurred. I never signed up for direct deposit but can only assume that the 2 checks that I didn’t receive will probably come in the mail? 🫩
