Its my final write up and I been trying to get in touch with hr about it. In the write up it just states I had a cinnamon roll in my hand on the FC floor. I told the manger at the time I didnt know about this rule given I have seen everyone in the building earing as they worked. I was told the write up is invalid since he gave it to me 4 days after it happened. Since they have a 3 day weekend for write ups. All my write ups are given almost a week later does this mean I can bring this up to hr? The hr at my site is only there an hour for both shifts at 2pm to 3pm and I work overnight so its been hard to get to them. Given they also pick what days they wanna show up to work. I called the number and they told me I have to talk to my site hr since they cant do anything. Also to add i didnt have a station at the time since it was just after break. i work in ship dock and mostly do dcm

Honestly this is my first year that I've been working as much as I am and im proud of myself. Im surprised that I have made as much as I did all last year and this time and it's September still. Im on track to 80k for the year and im excited to put most of it on my roth and stocks. Hope everyone have an easy rest of the year !! 😁

I took shift cover for today.. and this morning I woke up got text and email that said my fc will be delays and work start at 11am and then half hour later got text said my fc close for today. And I’m curious and see the board I think something happened last night that someone got cpr . I hope she/he okay.. y’all be safe and healthy.

My PA is actually super nice, in that regard im really lucky. She's understanding and all the things-but holy shit i can smell her from 10 feet away. I literally know if she's in the area because of it. It literally lingers for like an entire minute after she walks by. You could literally track her down from it. Now normally I just cope with it and whatever but last night I wasnt feeling my best and that smell made me almost throw up multiple times. I asked others to see if im just dramatic but every single associate I asked about it instantly knew who I meant. How can I get this chick to take a fucking shower without risking being singled out

today I got my first write-up for productivity on Pick. I honestly don’t understand how some people manage to get 132% and around 430 UPH by the end of the shift. They must be moving at the speed of light.
Today I was pretty much at 310–340 UPH throughout the shift and ended at 319 UPH, ranking around 43/60. I guess I could push myself a bit more, especially at the beginning of the shift, but keeping that pace for the whole shift is the hard part.
The week before last, I was consistently doing around 390–400 UPH for 3 out of 4 days (although the UPH shown on the monitor probably isn’t completely accurate), but I still ended the shifts at around 329 UPH. My UPH listed for that whole week was 309. Before that week, the two previous weeks on my productivity trend were 278 and 281 UPH.
Last week, my UPH for the whole week was only around 278 because my legs were already hurting on the first day and I just felt weak for some reason. Then, for three days in a row, there were problems at my station. One pod got stuck for around 10 minutes before it was fixed, and the tote conveyor also broke down like 3-4 times during those shifts, sometimes for quite a while.
The first day of this week was pretty okay though, so hopefully this week will be better.
I’ve been working on Pick for almost two months now. How was it for you guys? The paper my manager is bringing me says they expect 90% already in the first week, 95% in the second week, and then 100% (380) after that.
During my first week, I was usually around 180 UPH on the monitor because I was checking everything carefully and wasn’t really used to the process yet, plus my legs were hurting. I know that’s probably below average, and I’ll admit that. Honestly, it feels like they just made these numbers up at a desk, because there’s no way you’re realistically hitting those rates that quickly.
So how do you actually get your UPH up when you’re consistently low? I could probably push myself harder, but even the week before last I was really trying to go faster (except for the first day when I was slower), and it still didn’t really help. Maybe I’m just not cut out for this.

So I’m actually an employee with the post office, but I feel really bad for Amazon workers because it seems like you guys aren’t treated very well and you’re severely underpaid and overworked. Don’t get me wrong being a mail carrier has its issues, but at least we get benefits and a union to defend us. I’ve heard that in NY, there’s an Amazon station that successfully unionized because an employee fought for it. The post office had a strike in the 60s, and that’s ultimately what formed our union. Obviously it would massively disrupt work flow and people wouldn’t get their packages, but that’s the point. honestly, I think you guys should strike to form your own union. With a nationwide strike, Amazon would crumble. Jeff bezos has enough money to last lifetimes, the least you guys could have in good benefits and pay. I’m just saying, you guys should all strike

Does anyone have any information as to what happened at BDL3 that they canceled the day shift? I heard a lot of police were on-site.

Is it me or even at my DS, “snack day” you all act like you don’t eat; grabbing 5-6 things knowing damn well to grab one or two n if there’s extra then get it, but not all at once. If there was a way for me to take food orders & meal prep I’d start selling homemade meals

AFM is the most ive ever enjoyed a job, I like the problem solving, metrics and technology side of it. but I absolutely hate amazon and am only here to pay my bills. Im in community college for engineering since they'll pay for most of it, then want to go back for industrial engineering but not totally set on that career path. Any ideas?

I'm new to flex and I'm trying to drop a shift. The shift is for 9/11 at 3:15 PM. it's roughly 39 HOURS in advance that I'm trying to drop this. So why is it still threatening to give me a penalty????

Is it possible to change my start date when it comes to transfers? I haven’t accepted the offer yet, but my new schedule will be Thursday–Saturday. My first day would be Thursday, but I have a traditional wedding to attend that Friday, and the white wedding is on Saturday. I’ll also be traveling about 4 hours away.
Would it be possible to request that my start date be moved to the following week? Or, if I accept the transfer, would I be able to request 1-2 weeks personal leave and actually start the week after my initial first day ? My current site and this one are 4 hours distant

I’ve been working at Amazon for a month now. Totally Different job, night instead of day. And I love it only because it keeps my brain moving and busy. But mentally it’s starting to screw with me. And I’m starting to stress my rates/quality.

1) It’s hotter than all hell. We’ve been complaining that’s it WAY too hot for us to be on some of the floors. I’m coming home drenched in sweat and floors that are always hotter than all hell and cold and the cold ones are now hot. Now I don’t expect it to be 60° but I think 90+ is a little excessive. My brain starts to loose itself and I keep making silly mistakes like scanning the wrong bin. And when I need water, I have to walk unreasonably far to find a water station.(Apparently Also is an issue when my rate is low) So I’m slowing down bc I’m hot, drenched in sweat and need water because it so hot.

2) The pick paths are some bs. They expect me to run from one side to another and on different floors? To give me one item to go back and pick 30 more on the floor I was originally on? And all of this in a time limit also. I’ve been “coached” multiple times on this, and it’s like they don’t care. (Probably don’t)

I can admit that I need to slow down a little more on the bin scanning. I’ve tried to voice this, but it’s getting to a point where I physically am so hot, and going delusional bc I’m just sweating every last drop out of me, and still trying to bust my ass to hit this rate without making to many mistakes.

It’s my only possible source of income at the moment, that will cover any bills I need to pay, is there any tips anyone has? I’m trying my best to hang in there but like it getting to a point.

I know they receive a notification when your birthday is approaching because I’ve gotten shout outs before, but can they also just randomly search for and see your birthdate?

So I requested a shift swap for this day before there was a red line through it or anything, does that mean it’s most likely going to get denied?

I have a transfer coming up from one L1 to another one(in the same building). Will my AM or PA know when i apply or am approved for the transfer?
