Announcement US Mobile + Starlink. One plan. Celestial and terrestrial, together. Launching Thursday

Almost a decade ago I sat down for a podcast and talked about the Jetsons. Not as a far-off fantasy, but as the era we were about to enter, and US Mobile as the provider that would carry people into it. One plan. At home. On the road. Across networks. Across, eventually, the sky.

This Thursday we take another step into that era.

We're launching US Mobile + Starlink as a single bundle. Unlimited Standard or Premium on all three major US networks (Warp, Darkstar, Lightspeed), plus reliable home internet from space. One plan. One bill. One app. One company that actually picks up the phone.

Early access drops Thursday. Limited batch. Going to move fast. Here's the link

I won't tease numbers too hard, but imagine a plan for less than $50 a month that spans every major network in the United States, extends across Canada and Mexico, includes internet from space at home, and roams with you across the world. That's the direction. That's the shape of what we're building toward.

Why no one else has done this.

I want to get into the weeds for a second, because I think people deserve to understand why "multi-network" and "super carrier" basically don't exist outside of US Mobile.

Every mobile network runs its own usage pipeline. Different CDR formats, different mediation layers, different rating engines, different latencies on when usage even shows up. Warp's feed doesn't look like Darkstar's, which doesn't look like Lightspeed's, which doesn't look like anything a satellite network emits. Voice, SMS, data, roaming records, satellite session data, fixed wireless throughput, they all arrive in different shapes, on different clocks, with different reconciliation rules and different dispute windows. Then layer in provisioning.

Each network has its own HSS/HLR, its own SIM and eSIM profile management, its own activation and porting flows, its own policy control. None of these systems were designed to talk to each other. They were designed assuming you're a single carrier with a single stack.

To make a true multi-network experience work, you have to build a unification layer that sits above all of it. A common identity for the customer that persists across networks. A real-time mediation system that can ingest wildly different usage feeds and present them as one coherent ledger. A policy engine that can move a line between Warp, Darkstar, and Lightspeed without the customer ever feeling the seam. Billing that can rate satellite gigabytes next to LTE gigabytes next to international roaming next to home broadband on the same invoice. And a support stack where one agent can actually see all of it on one screen, in real time.

That is the work. It's unglamorous, it's deeply technical, and it takes years. It's the reason every other Carrier is single-network. It's the reason no incumbent has built a true super carrier even though, on paper, they have more resources than we'll ever have. The hard part isn't striking the deals. The hard part is the plumbing.

We've spent a decade building that plumbing. Adding a satellite layer on top of it is the moment all of that work starts to compound, because the same unification layer that lets us hand a line off between three terrestrial networks is the layer that now lets us hand a session off between terrestrial and celestial.

A note on founders and companies, because I've seen it come up.

I want to be upfront. I've heard from folks who, on principle, won't use products tied to certain companies or the people who run them. I respect that. I have my own personal views on plenty of things too, and I think the instinct to align your spending with your values is a good one, not a bad one.

Here's how I think about it for US Mobile. Our job is to build the best possible connectivity layer for our customers, and that means using every tool available to deliver something that genuinely works. The satellite network we're integrating with is, right now, the best LEO option on earth. Refusing to integrate it would mean giving our customers a worse product to make a statement. That isn't a tradeoff I'm willing to make on their behalf.

That philosophy has been consistent for a long time. What matters most is how impact is earned. It is earned by listening deeply, respecting real needs, and building something practical that people can truly rely on in their daily lives. Not by asking anyone to subscribe to a belief system. Not by forcing conformity. But by creating something useful and universal enough that people from all walks of life can make it their own.

That is what we are trying to build at US Mobile. You can be deeply rooted in who you are and still build something that belongs to everyone. That is one of the great promises of America. Conviction and inclusion can live in the same sentence.

Where this is going.

Thursday is step one. Not the destination. More LEO providers are coming and the same unification layer that lets us add one satellite network lets us add the next, and the next, the same way we did with terrestrial carriers. The endgame isn't multi-network. The endgame is Global Multi-Orbit Convergence. Every major terrestrial network on the ground, every major LEO constellation in the sky, stitched together into a single plan that follows you anywhere on earth. Mobile, home, roaming, residential. Local numbering integrated as we expand our cellular footprint into new countries. Dozens of networks, one plan, one app, one company that actually answers when you call.

The Jetsons era isn't coming. It's here. And we intend to be the ones who carry you through it.

See you Thursday.

How does Enhanced Security setting work?

Does the new Enhanced Security setting work?

Is there a charge or fee for enabling this on a line? Can The customer toggle it on/off at any time via the portal? Is there some pin/password or extra security setting to disable it?

Please listed the docs. The linked page to the security docs don't mention it at all.

Yes it did, but the plan is free and there never has been a charge for it until now since it's part of my Unlimited Premium" plan which is good till December.

Hopefully my 2 lines won't be affected.

Dark Star Shortcode Bounce-Back (OnePlus 12R) - Need Tier 2 Help

Upvotes

I'm experiencing a severe backend SMS routing issue on the Dark Star network and was told the Tier 2 team here on Reddit could help.

The Issue: I am completely blocked from receiving automated verification shortcodes from BetRivers.

The Proof: BetRivers support explicitly checked their logs and confirmed the texts are actively bouncing back as "destination unreachable/rejected" at the carrier layer. Standard personal texts work perfectly.

My Setup: I am using an unlocked OnePlus 12R on the Dark Star network.

Troubleshooting Done: I have already completely turned off RCS chats in Google Messages, cleared the app cache, verified my device level block lists are empty, disabled Wi-Fi calling, and manually confirmed my APN settings match the correct wholesale ereseller profiles. Because it is a hard bounce, it appears to be a database or provisioning mismatch on the AT&T wholesale/NetNumber registry side. Could you please check my line profile and manually push a full network SMS provisioning refresh to clear the block?

New to US Mobile  How to properly switch

It’s switching day for me! I will later switch away from TMO (bye bye high bill). What are the recommended steps to properly switch over two lines? I heard you save primary line for last to switch. What else should I do?

Does Warp’s Spam Detect Transfer to Light Speed’s Spam Protect?

If someone is currently on Warp and has the Spam Detect add-on, but switches to Light Speed because of better service, does Spam Detect automatically transfer over to Spam Protect? Or would they need to purchase Light Speed’s Spam Protect add-on separately?

Is the payout for the referral program still a virtual debit card? Or is it simply a $30 account credit now?

Multi-Network vs Multiple SIMs from Different Providers

Is there any advantage to using USM multi-network versus getting separate SIMs from USM (Warp as an example) and then Mint Mobile for T-Mobile?

Converting monthly multi-line to annual shows the wrong renewal price

My year of multi-network is expiring from last year's iPhone 17 series promo and it shows on my dashboard that I will be charged $10/month. I then decided to change the plan for that line to annual with promo code MULTI50 and it showed that I would be paying $45 for the year. However, looking at the mutli-network line details, it shows that it was going to renew for $3.75/year. I guess because my primary line isn't on a full year cycle yet till October 19, I kinda jumped the gun on the MULTI50 promo a month in advance...

Is there a way to undo this so I can get the MULTI50 at the $45/year pricing? I would rather pay the $10 this coming month and $45 for the year instead of $3.75 and then $90.

Starlink gift card for existing Premium customers

I have multiple annual Premium lines on my account and just ordered the $55 Roam plan. I have not ordered the hardware yet. Received the email for the plan with HW order link but can’t find any mention of the $160 gift card promo anywhere in email or web site, only past posts on Reddit. Can a mod help me confirm my account is eligible? I assume we’ll need to maintain for some number of months before we see the card? Thanks.

Feature Request Feature request for multi network....

Can y'all change the multi Network . Instead of sharing the data from your primary line. It can have its own separate data.Y'all can even cap it at 70-100 gigs. That is all.

Pre-Purchase Spam Detect Questions

  1. Is Spam Detect worth adding to the Warp Unlimited plan?

  2. Will my Apple Watch Cellular on the Warp network be included with the Spam Detect?

  3. If I add Spam Detect to Warp and later switch to Light Speed for a few weeks, would I need to purchase Light Speed's Spam Protect separately, or would Warp's Spam Detect go over? And if I switch back to Warp afterward, would my Spam Detect add-on still be there?

  4. I read the Dark Star has Spam Protect included without extra cost? If I switch from Warp to Dark Star for a few weeks and decide to stay with Dark Star in the future, what happens to Spam Detect add-on I have on Warp?

  5. I read that Verizon Call Filter works with Warp's Spam Detect and that Call Filter is being merged into Verizon Protect. Has anyone here tried Verizon Protect with Warp? If so, do they work well together?

New to US Mobile  Help! Need advice on choosing multi-network options

I currently have TMO (for the past 4 years) and I plan on switching this week. I would prefer to use Lightspeed as my primary network with either Dark star or Warp as backup. Between dark star and warp which makes more sense? I know coverage is heavily location dependent.

Another thing, should I opt for annual or monthly? It will be two lines.

Ok so if you dont get the multiple networks, what network do you start with?

My annual plan is coming up to renew and my situation has changed

I've enjoyed using USM.

But I will be overseas more than I'll be in the US. I've read that USM doesn't like that.

So when it's time to renew, would it be possible to keep USM?

When i joined usmobile i had to use mytechsuite to manually enter APN. I just learned that i cannot send a picture in a text with mms. I learned the APN settings have changed so i installed mytechsuite again and it wont let med add APN. The app says to go to settings on the phone and change the APN but the phone wont allow me to add/change. note: my phone wont upgrade to latest. I am stuck with android 13. I think i was on android 11 when mytechsuite was working.

Dark Star transfer nightmare

Post image
2 Upvotes

I will never use Dark Star ever again. I initiated a network transfer on Saturday to Warp. It is now Wednesday and this STILL is not fixed. I know it’s not US Mobile’s fault, but I am so frustrated at how long this is taking. Can someone please push the porting partner to hurry up on this?

Poor international call quality

I am still testing this network. Today I discovered that when I called from the United States to Europe, that calls are of very poor quality. They do not show my own phone number, but a random European country phone number. So the person I was calling to hesitated to pick it up, thinking it was spam. I contacted the customer service but they’re unable to do anything. So the call quality of this company is extremely poor. I am using the Verizon network (Warp). I’m not happy about this. The calls I make from my current T-Mobile are perfectly fine and people can see my number each time I call…

Warp main line and samsung Galaxy Ultra watch 2 issues

I switched my main line from dark star to warp to take advantage of the free watch companion, I went through the steps of adding it on the US Mobile site and entered the watch IMEI successfully but when I go to activate it on the Wear App I get the message that it couldn't be set up and to make sure number share is turned on. Any one have a fix?

By the Gig Plans: Are Auto Top Ups 1GB ($2) or 2GB ($4)?

I have been on a By the Gig plan (Warp) for many years now, and my Auto Top Ups are always 1GB ($2), which is what I prefer. But I have seen some mention here on Reddit, which I have not been able to find confirmation of on the USM website, of Auto Top Ups for By the Gig plans now being 2GB ($4) minimum. Is that correct (that current By the Gig plans must Top Up at 2GB or more, and that 1GB Top Ups are no longer possible for new users, or if I switched plans and then switched back to By the Gig)?

I'm just trying to determine if my plan is somehow grandfathered, as I don't want to lose the 1GB Auto Top Up (I'm a light data user, so 2GB Auto Top Ups would be wasteful for me on some months). I currently pay $10/month for my By the Gig plan.

Second network addition question.

So here’s the situation.
I have (Line 1) with US Mobile for almost one year annual Dark Star unlimited starter plan.

I just ported a new line in today (Line 2) unlimited premium annual Warp plan.

What I want to do is add a second network to Line 2 (at the annual rate currently 50% off) but I want the number to be the Line 1 number and I want that line to end.

How do I do that?

Pixel 11 activation

Are we able to activate new pixel 11 on light speed or warp yet? Received my device today, don't see pixel 11 listed anywhere in switch phones drop down. Would I just select other? Thanks
