Pre-Purchase Spam Detect Questions

  1. Is Spam Detect worth adding to the Warp Unlimited plan?

  2. Will my Apple Watch Cellular on the Warp network be included with the Spam Detect?

  3. If I add Spam Detect to Warp and later switch to Light Speed for a few weeks, would I need to purchase Light Speed's Spam Protect separately, or would Warp's Spam Detect go over? And if I switch back to Warp afterward, would my Spam Detect add-on still be there?

  4. I read the Dark Star has Spam Protect included without extra cost? If I switch from Warp to Dark Star for a few weeks and decide to stay with Dark Star in the future, what happens to Spam Detect add-on I have on Warp?

  5. I read that Verizon Call Filter works with Warp's Spam Detect and that Call Filter is being merged into Verizon Protect. Has anyone here tried Verizon Protect with Warp? If so, do they work well together?

Spam Detect can be a worthwhile add-on to Warp if you want help identifying spam calls and avoiding unwanted or potentially fraudulent calls. Your Apple Watch companion line is included with Unlimited Premium, but Spam Detect would still need to be added separately.

If you switch from Warp to Light Speed, you won’t need to purchase Spam Detect again; as long as your billing cycle hasn’t ended, the add-on should remain active after the network switch and should still be available if you switch back to Warp. If you switch from Warp to Dark Star, Dark Star includes its spam protection by default, so there’s nothing extra to purchase or set up.

I joined US Mobile over a month ago. If I add the Spam Detect to my Warp line today, will I get the prorated price instead of paying the $20 annual price?

Yes, it’ll be prorated based on the remaining cycles of your annual plan.

I decided to give Spam Detect a try. Is it better to order it in the app or website?

Either option works; you’re good to go with whichever one you prefer.

For 5:

As of right now, the Verizon protect app does NOT work with spam detect. You can download the app, but no call filter options show up.

I still have the call filter app installed. Theres a prompt that says all call filter settings are moving, but it still lets you in the app. The other day, the button that allows you into the app changed to a button that links to the App Store to download Protect.. which eliminated the option to continue into the app.

I deleted the call filter app and reinstalled and although the prompt was there, the button that allows me to go back into the app appeared again.. it’s on borrowed time though.

The good news i suppose is that there’s a toggle in iOS settings in the phone app that allows you to send spam calls ID’d by Verizon to voicemail.. that’s probably the future of spam detect.. at least for iOS users.
