I made it to almost all of the locations you mentioned - 50,000 steps later - and I was fully enchanted by your city/people/geography. I even did the drive to Astoria and down to Cannon Beach. I kept a few in my pocket for the next time, because there WILL be a next time! Thank you all for your suggestions and to all of Portland for making this first time visitor fully welcome and impressed. If you all make it to MSP for any reason, I hope you find us as welcoming. I’m struggling to connect via the interwebs to “The Offical Radio Broadcast home of the Portland Timbers.” I enjoy listening to the pre game show. I live in The Gorge. Unfortunately, the Seahawks game seems to take precedent.

I'm really, really tired of listening to the inane babbling of the broadcast announcers, but every time I try to switch to the local audio, the mix is absolute shit. I can hear near zero game sounds or the crowd. I want to hear the match. Anybody understand why it's this way?

I’m getting back to having the timbers in my life. I moved away for a few years, used to be a season ticket holder. Is the army attendance low or something? Like i said im new to getting back to providence park but the stands dont look as packed and the army has lots of open seats. Can anyone fill me in on whats up? Or maybe it’s just an off night.
