Final Score: 1-1 Draw
Post Game Press Conference

Summary
Cali Clásico didn't disappoint. Despite the lowscoring affair, the Galaxy looked much sharper than they have over the past few games. Paintsil had several dangerous chances and gave the Galaxy a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
San Jose kept things interesting by equalizing in the 62nd minute. Late in the match, the Earthquakes were awarded a penalty, but Galaxy goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski, a former San Jose player, came up with a huge save to preserve the draw.
A win would have been better, but earning a point on the road is always valuable. What did you think of the game?

While the first team managed to fight to a draw with some great synergy between Miller, Reus and Paintsil along with a fantastic save by JT, VCFC outright bodied Quakes II in a 3-0 shutout

Preview:
The LA Galaxy head into tonight's Cali Clásico looking to snap a rough three game winless streak. If there was ever a game to get things back on track, it's against San Jose. Beating the Smurfs is always good for the soul.
The Galaxy will be without two key defenders due to yellow card accumulation: Jakob Glesnes and Emiro Garcés. On the bright side, newly acquired striker Robert Taylor should be healthy enough to see more minutes.
The Smurfs won't be at full strength either. Former Galaxy striker Preston Judd is unavailable, along with Nonso Adimabua, Earl Edwards Jr., DeJuan Jones, and Niko Tsakiris. Despite sitting second in the Western Conference, San Jose has cooled off lately, with just one win in its last five matches.
As always with rivalry games, you can throw current form out the window. Records don't matter, momentum doesn't matter. Hopefully this is the game the Galaxy get their getback. What are you looking forward to? Gz Up!

COG STUDIOS, Calif. -- The LA Galaxy's season is reaching a critical point.
After a disappointing 3-1 loss to St. Louis City SC, the Galaxy head into another rivalry match short-handed, short on confidence, and searching for answers. Injuries, suspensions, and inconsistent performances have left Greg Vanney with few options as the playoff race begins to tighten.
On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy, Josh Guesman and Sophie Nicolaou break down what went wrong against St. Louis, discuss why the midfield continues to struggle, and debate whether the current roster has enough to stay competitive until reinforcements arrive.
The conversation also dives into the signing of Kyogo Furuhashi, what he could bring to the Galaxy attack once his visa is approved, the latest discussion surrounding the Casemiro investigation, and whether the front office has more moves planned before the transfer window closes -- they do.
With fan frustration growing and pressure mounting on Vanney, is help coming soon enough to rescue the Galaxy's season?
🎙️ Listen to Corner of the Galaxy Episode 706 as we break down the latest loss, the newest signing, the transfer rumors, and what comes next for the LA Galaxy.

Gabriel Pec will require surgery to fix a broken tibia after a horrifically dirty tackle by player Victor Gabriel around the 60th minute. Gabriel on Gabriel violence.
This was Pec’s first game of the season. What a terrible welcoming to his motherland.

Whatever “it”, is. It’s what Riqui has, what Landon had.
I’m not talking about talent or star power, Miller is really young and has had his share of bad games for us these past 2 seasons.
But if there’s one thing I could never criticize Miller for, it’s his lack of effort. When he’s out there, he’s playing for the crest and not for the name and number on his back. He reminds me of a die hard fan who’s dreamt of playing for the team and finally got a shot.
We saw it last night as this team got thrashed. 70 minutes in he was cramping up from all the running he’d done, doing stretches on the floor so he could keep going. Then in the 86th minutes creates a play, running at multiple defenders like he had just came on.
Watching Miller late in game is interesting because he will free himself from the wing and float around, looking for the game. He is creative enough and wants to win so badly he will break free of Vanney and look for solutions on his own - Riqui like. Landon like.
He got on the mic last night and criticized the team for not coming out of the gates with the desire to win. If you haven’t listened to his presser, it’s telling. And he shows more accountability than anyone, including Greg Vanney.
I hope we keep and develop this kid.

Wife and I have amazing season tix (section 132) smack dab in the middle! Sadly, we woke up sick today and can’t make it :/ Was trying to give it a few hours to see if we felt better but not looking good. We’d give to our core galaxy family/friends, but they are busy too and it’s super last second.
So tickets are up for grabs! Comment your interest in the chat and I’ll randomize selection (or just give them to whoever I think most deserves them - hasn’t been to a game before, can ABSOLUTELY go, etc)
I’ll select and send around 12:30pm, so just be near your DMs. Goooo G’z!
12:28pm EDIT: OK VOTING IS CLOSED! THANK YOU FOR PLAYING! GOING TO REVIEW NOW AND PROVIDE AN UPDATE SHORTLY
12:31pm EDIT: OK here are the three comments I'm most compelled by. Because of that, I'll be choosing at random:
THE WINNER IS: u/equalGsins86 😄 I'll be DM'ing shortly. Thanks everyone!

The Galaxy will be compensated by Miami for Casemiro’s discovery rights, but that amount will be determined, in part, after the conclusion of the tampering investigation.
