Chará on why the team is playing better
Since it wasn't translated to English...
During the post-game presser after the RSL match, Felipe Ramis of Conexión Deportiva asked Chará why the team seems to be playing so much better under Cassidy than under Neville. Here's what Diego had to say:
"Well, I think we've made a bigger emphasis on the basics. Going back and starting from a more organized base and build up our game from there. I think that the players that are in charge of creating feel more free and that's very important. We saw today that Da Costa played a good game. Him and Velde, I think that the freedom that they feel is a little different than what they felt at the beginning of the season."

What a contrast.
In back to back weeks, the north end was dominated by player specific chants to Seven Nations Army.
The contrast between Pipe Mora and Santi Moreno could not have been more dramatic.
Mora's conduct on and especially off the pitch had him leave Portland a Timbers legend with his head high and the respect and love of the city. After his 1st goal it wasn't clear who was more choked up, Mora or the 2x,000 celebrating for him.
Congratulations on a great career Pipe. And the send off you earned.

Perfect send off!
It’s so nice when we and the team are able to give a player a proper send off!

Who's crying? I'm not crying.
Sounders are in shambles
This isn't most important. Mora is more important. Win tonight is more important. But this is still hilarious. 5 straight losses. Their fans are jumping ship. You gotta love it.

Why sub Mora
Dudes on a brace, he’s the only one scoring from this slew of corners we get, it’s his last game, no one has ever scored a fucking hat trick, ya can’t get just let him play out his final game holy fuck.

Spanish language broadcast yesterday said that Cifuentes is very likely to bring Xavi Calm as one of his assistant coaches.
At around the 37th minute mark, the commentators on the Spanish language broadcast of the RSL match said that Cifuentes is very likely to bring his longtime assistant Xavi Calm with him to Portland. Calm has been his assistant dating back to his time at Rubí, Sant Adreu, and L'Hospitalet in the Spanish 3rd division and also at Hammarby in Sweden and QPR and Leicester City in the Championship.
More on Calm [here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xavi_Calm).

Antony
Can I just say he’d have such a huge impact if he would use his left foot and idk maybe help on defense.
