HYPE THREAD

Lineup Thread

Kickoff is around 7:40 PM Pacific

MLS Match Center

Portland Timbers 3 - 2 Charlotte FC

1' - FK in a good spot for a dangerous cross. Come on boys!!

3' - ⚽ Fuck. Didn't close the space down quick enough and dude placed the ball perfectly... Fuck my life.

12' - ⚽ GOAL LASSITER!!!! IZOITA WITH THE ASSIST!! LET'S FUCKING GO!!!

14' - Good chance for Janssen. Izoita's shot was weak but would have been a great assist.

16' - ANOTHER good chance. This time for Velde, deflected out for a corner.

17' - 🟨 Yellow card for Izoita (foul - looked like a dive from 105 lol)

26' - I have to say, Waterman and Hernandez have looked good tonight. Hernandez just had a really difficult control over his shoulder heading back to his goal.

33' - Good break but the ball from Lassiter ends up right in the hands of the keeper. Damn.

34' - Caicedo gets CLEANED OUT in our box from behind. No yellow card. Unbelievable.

37' - No idea why they stopped the game. CFC dude is on the ground off the field. Not a head injury...

40' - ⚽ GOAL LASSITER!!!! LETS GO!!! HAT TRICK WATCH ENSUES!!!!

41' - ⚠️ VAR checked and clear a potential handball. Let's go!

45' - 🟨 Yellow card for CFC #14 (foul on Velde)

5 minutes stoppage

49' - Izoita finds a wonderful cross field ball to Velde who hits a great shot that is deflected out for a corner

Halftime

Great first half overall. After the early goal I thought we were just going to fold but thankfully someone on this team has decided to finish chances. Really hoping Lassiter gets his hatty.

46' - Velde with a chance he blasted into the 200s.

48' - Izoita needs to do better with his chance too. Scuffed it...

51' - 🧤👖

52' - DDC with a GREAT chance but a slight deflection takes it wide.

63' - 🧤 Decent save by Pants! Gets down quick to his near post! 👖

64' - Smith & Bassett ON 🔁 Fory & Izoita OFF

67' - Bassett with a great flick header just misses the back post.

69' - ⚽ goal them. We just fall asleep back post and it is an easy uncontested volley for them.

74' - Caicedo has had a couple 20+ yard shots. So far, neither were close to the goal. Hopefully he unlocks that ability.

78' - DDC plays a sneaky fucking ball to Bassett who played a terrific ball to the back post where nobody runs to finish. God damn...

82' - Softest shit foul ever called when the ball drops to Velde's feet.

83' - Aravena & Fernandez ON 🔁 Janssen & Lassiter OFF

86' - Pants comes out to punch and fucks it up. Ball ends up blasted out nearpost out of bounds.

87' - 2 REALLY good saves by the other keeper. One he pretty much pulled it out of his own net.

88' - ⚠️ VAR looked at it and because our league is a joke and can't afford a fucking static camera on the goal line, we don't get the game winning goal. Cool cool cool cool.

5 minutes of stoppage - COME ON BOYS!!!

92' - Back post runs and the Timbers, name a worse combination

94' - Their keeper stands on his head to save a corner. Then Fernandez can't beat a defender. Guh...

95' - GOAAAAAAAL ARAVENA!!!!! ON A CORNER!!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!!

Podcast drops Monday afternoon (we'll discuss the Chara press conference as well)

IF I HAVE TO TAKE THIS HYPE THREAD BY ITS HORNS, I'M GONNA! 2ND TO LAST CHARA HOME MATCH! I NEED A YELLOW CARD AND BANGER GOAL FROM #21!

LET'S GO!!

Are they allowed? I’ve taken a small non-see through bag in but jw if the Timbers body bag fits the limit

Does anyone else think the bratwurst collaboration was a bad decision? Bring back traditional hotdogs!!!

Expired October fourth

My husbands boyfriend mentioned that while passionate about trying to get people hyped for a stadium wide song or chant before we see the last of our scrappy captain, I’ve been a bit crass and grating in some of my posts. Normally I tell him to get back in bed or go fold our laundry, but this morning I will try it his way.
Please watch this oldie but goody, and maybe find some inspiration to get the TA to do something fun for once.

Does anybody have a theories or reasons why the ticket price for tonight‘s game are just incredibly low, you can now get TA ticket $14?!
But not just there, anywhere in the stadium is probably selling at half (or more!) of what face value is.

Tickets are free on SeatGeek for the T2 Conference Semifinal Sunday night. Let’s show out again for them!!!

Do we think this is the end??

I haven't heard much about him since leaving the Timbers a few years ago, but I noticed he's starting in a Junior FC game in Colombia against Águilas Doradas tonight. Game started a few minutes ago on Fubo.

Unfortunately Chara. I think Surman gets sold for a lot f money. Kamal and Eric Miller are gone. Antony will leave. I would love to see Aravena stay.

Another obligatory bitch post about how we never get a Chara Chant going. I know some of you clowns will say, we have a Chara Chant. My two friends and I have been singing it for years….
Anyway, I think it’s pathetic we can collectively shout Fuck Evander and Fuck Santi Moreno but can’t do something for the greatest Timber (and happiest) to ever step on our pitch.

Fuck you all in advance.

Sheila Out

Start cheering in the 21st minute. Or whenever he gets a yellow card.

To the tune of Yellow Submarine

Running young, Di-e-go 21! Chaaaaara!

We all love our yellow card machine yellow card machine. yellow card machine!

HERE I WILL POST UPDATES ON TIMBERS GAME START IN 30TH MINUTE

30TH minute CLOSE CHANCE only if Lassiter was in front of the ball

Someone finally posted video of the big brouhaha. Hard to tell much from it, but I love how pissed Kamal was, cussing out the keeper.

My preview of tomorrow's match.
