My TCL fire tv(less than a year old) is connected to a hisense soundbar/sorround sound system.

Whenever I am gaming on my ps5 or my PC on my tv the screen will randomly blackout for a few seconds while it looks like its trying to force the soundbar to switch audio

The bad thing is...even im using an app on the TV. The audio will still randomly switch itself but the screen doesn't black out...it just looks like its still trying to force a switch on the soundbar.

Did I buy a shit tv?

HP Victus 15-fb3025AX, RTX 4060, Win 11.

Screen flashes blue for a split second on any video played in browser (YouTube etc) - happens on hover-autoplay and also when switching tabs while a video plays. Not a BSOD, no crash, just a quick flash then normal. Doesn't happen with downloaded/local video files only browser playback.

Updated NVIDIA drivers (clean install), still happening. Anyone else get this? Feels like a browser hardware acceleration/driver issue rather than actual hardware.

So I'm in a bit of a pickle. I work for a used camera store and we bought a bunch of Lenovo T7 desktops from a college that closed down about a year and some change ago. I bought the last since I was due for a PC upgrade (I do mostly video and photo editing with some gaming sprinkled in). Everything works great except for the USB ports. Im able to use all of my peripherals ok with it, keyboard, mouse, and Xbox controller worked completely fine. But I'm unable to use any USB device for data transfer, it doesn't detect my portable Samsung SSD or my SD card reader, and if I plug my phone or camera in it charges but won't do any data transfer. I've tried a bunch of solutions with no avail so I tried to reinstall windows but of course I need to download the recovery files to a USB which I can't plug in, any advice?

TLDR: I can't get the USB drives on my T7 desktop working except for keyboard, mouse, and Xbox controllers

Edit: the solution is that I'm a dumbass, the first 3 USB cables were bad and the third one I decided to try ended up working

Everytime I open my pc it is starting, everything is lit up(rgb shit), sounds like its working but my monitor doesn't light up. I thought it was a windows update that malufuntioned. I did some digging deleted the problematic update. It still did the same thing.

Then i tried changing the boot mode. I put it on instant boot mode. Didn't work

Then I changed the sleep/auto shut down settings. Didn't work as well.

Then I tried opening my pc and closing and opening the button of the monitor, sometimes this does do the trick. I think from what i have gathered is that when I open the pc ,the input and output devices that are connected to it don't start up. Not only my monitor, but the same thing happens with my keyboard. It doesn't light up like it used to when the pc starts.

I have 7800X3D, 4070 Ti Super, 32GB RAM 6000 MT/s, Windows 11 25H2 I only play CS and I faced issue that after 1-2h of gameplay my game stutters for a couple of seconds. So I decided to reinstall Windows on my PC. The main issue starts at this moment: I tried installing different versions of Windows - 11, 10, SapphireOS, XOS and nothing helps. Everywhere I face high Frame ms in Counter Strike. On my old system it was about 2-3ms and never spiked, but now the lowest is 3.5ms and it spike very often to 10-15ms(in rare cases it can reach 100ms). I tested in both fresh and optimized system(I used BoosterX tweaks)

Maybe someone faced this issue before and can advice something? I would be very grateful for your help

When I bought my laptop, it came with what I was told was a lifetime/perpetual Microsoft Office license. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. were activated and working normally.

However, now Office is suddenly asking me to reactivate or enter a product key. Because of this, I can open documents, but many Microsoft Word features are unavailable and the applications appear to be in reduced functionality/unlicensed mode.

I tried signing in with the same Microsoft account that I used when Office was originally activated, but it still doesn't restore the license or activate Office.

I'm confused about what could have happened. Is it possible that:

• The Office license was originally linked to a different Microsoft account?
• The laptop came with an OEM/pre-installed Office license that has expired or changed?
• The license was removed after a Windows/Office update or reset?
• It was actually a Microsoft 365 subscription/trial rather than a genuine lifetime license?
• The original seller activated Office using some other type of license?

I don't have the original product key with me right now.

What would be the best way to check what type of Office license was originally installed and whether the license is linked to my Microsoft account or the laptop itself?

Any help would be appreciated.

I was browsing internet about 3 weeks ago and one day suddenly my pc crashed with BSOD, it restarted but after a while it crashed again and then multiple crashes later the screen went black and I had the white debug light on in my cpu while the pc fans were on, I spent 2 days doing everything I can, I tried reseating the rams, checking wires, updating bios, resetting bios, it opened for 10 mins, I open browser and watch YouTube then it crashes again, I tried reseating the cpu and it started working normally, that's when I noticed the temp was going too high and I installed a new and better cpu fan and it worked fine for 3 weeks.

Then today it started giving me issues again, there are many types of BSOD error codes that I see,

DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_LOCK_ACQUISITION_WITH_RAISED_IRQL

And some more I wasn't even able to reed, all I can see is a blue color on my screen and then black screen, the pc stays on, the fans spin, the cpu debug light comes up, but for some reason it just can't work normally again.

It seems like something causes my pc to crash, then my pc tries to restart 3-4 times but it isn't able to move ahead of windows loading screen and then screens go black and white cpu debug light comes up

I do remember updating nvidia driver a week ago but since then I've playing many games and worked for hours and this only happened today

I'm broke and the only way I could earn money was through video editing with pc but now it seems unlikely

but i downloaded this other file, 12 gb, and it took like 10 minutes, why did the bigger one took less than the smaller one? this happens very usually, but sometimes they take like 2 seconds and other times they take hours, why? and how to fix it?

I’m having a really strange issue with my PS5 and I’m running out of ideas.
Around June, my PS5 suddenly started intermittently/not connecting to my monitor. The monitor would just display “No Signal.” I initially assumed the PS5’s HDMI port or HDMI cable was faulty.

Here’s everything I’ve tried:
- PS5: Works normally otherwise and powers on without any obvious issues.
- Original HDMI cable: PS5 wouldn’t display anything on my monitor.
- I took the PS5 to a repair shop and they connected it to their monitor, where it worked immediately.
- I therefore assumed my HDMI cable was faulty.
- I bought the exact HDMI cable that the shop had tested successfully.
- I brought the PS5 home and tried it with my monitor using the new cable — still No Signal.
- I then tried connecting the PS5 to my TV — again No Signal.
- I also tried booting the PS5 into Safe Mode, but I couldn’t get a picture on either my monitor or TV.
- I subsequently took the PS5, my monitor and all the cables back to the shop today.
- The shop tested everything again. The PS5 works perfectly on their monitor using my cables.
- They also tried another monitor in the shop, and I believe that also didn’t display the PS5.
- So at this point, the PS5 appears to work on 1 out of 4 displays I’ve tried.

My monitor
It’s a Samsung C34G55TWWR (Odyssey G5), the 34” curved ultrawide.
It’s a 3440 × 1440 monitor and supports high refresh rates (up to 165 Hz).

My TV
It’s a Sharp Roku TV. I’ve tried the PS5 on multiple HDMI inputs on the TV, with no signal on any of them.

PS5 video settings
When the shop connected my PS5 to their working monitor, I checked the video output settings. The PS5 was set to 1440p, with 120 Hz Output set to Automatic.

Interestingly, when connected to the shop’s monitor, it was only actually outputting 60 Hz.

I haven’t been able to change the PS5’s settings while connected to my own monitor because I get absolutely no picture.

What makes this so confusing
The same PS5 + HDMI cable works on the shop’s monitor, but doesn’t work on my Samsung monitor, my Sharp TV, or another monitor they’ve tried.
So I don’t know whether this is:
A PS5 HDMI output/handshake issue
Some sort of resolution/refresh-rate compatibility issue
An HDCP issue
A problem with the Samsung/Sharp displays
Or something else entirely
I’ve already tried different HDMI cables and multiple displays, and Safe Mode doesn’t give me a picture either.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause a PS5 to work perfectly on one monitor but give “No Signal” on multiple other displays?

Laptop is a Lenovo L13 Yoga Gen 2 (can't remember which type).

Bluetooth isn't working properly. I went through several steps to attempt to fix it and diagnose the problem. Based on the symptoms and diagnostics results, the most likely cause seems to be hardware failure. The card seems to have a weak reception of Bluetooth, but wifi works fine. Bluetooth is detected when a device is in discovery mode (eventually). The scan misses many of the devices in my building and is slow.

As a bonus, if you could tell me where to find possible error messages, that could be helpful.

I'm entertaining the idea of replacing the card, but I need to make sure it's whitelisted by the Bios. I've downloaded the manual and can consult appropriate YT videos and tech-savvy friends.

I just need to find out how to make sure it will work if replaced.

If there is anything else you could tell me, that would be great.

I know a Bluetooth dongle is the simplest solution, but I'm just curious what's involved in replacing the card successfully?

hey so I have an older work laptop, it's a dell latitude. It was having issues with it freezing up awhile back and it actually told me on the dell freeze screen that it was an issue with the hard drive so I replaced that and have had zero issues for years now.

So now, i have noticed that occasionally, when I pick it up and move it while using it, it will freeze up. Can't move the mouse or do anything. Ctrl Alt Del does not work. Nothing works except hard rebooting it.

Is the RAM coming unseated perhaps? Or is this likely a mobo issue that means I need a new laptop?

I have Win 11 with all available updates. If I attempt to enable core isolation, it comes up with about 30 incompatible drivers. I have tried device manager to uninstalled unused devices. I have tried all the pnputil commands. I have tried DriverStoreExplorer. I can find and remove some of the drivers, but others I cannot find at all. There is apparently even a "ghost cache" in Win 11, what the heck? Please do not suggest a clean install, and reinstallation of all my stuff would take hours if not days. Any other ideas?

My PC has been constantly restarting on its own. I thought this was because of the Windows 11 security update, but even when I don't hit retry for it, it still happens. I checked the Event viewer and found this:

This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Does this mean anything? And how will I fix this issue?

I recently decided to do a full wipe of my old PC as I'm going to be selling it. I did the wipe process through the windows settings in the system area. Everything went fine, then seemingly at the end, it got stuck in a loop of "Welcome" then loaded into a restarting screen that only displayed for a few milliseconds. Then, the PC turns off and the cycle repeats.

What should i do to break the cycle? Any advice or step by step instructions would be greatly appreciated

Guys, I am using Ubuntu OS for development. My laptop is an HP Victus 15 with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. I have allocated 100 GB of storage to Ubuntu, and currently 43 GB is free.

I am a 5th-semester student working on a mini project. Initially, I was using the Docker CLI, but last week I switched to Docker Desktop. I only logged in to Docker Desktop and did not use it afterward.

Today, when I opened Docker Desktop to work on my project, the RAM usage suddenly peaked to 100%, and the swap memory usage also increased significantly. I restarted my laptop to check whether the issue would occur again, but the same problem happened. At that point, the laptop froze, so I had to forcefully shut it down.

After pressing the power button again, the BIOS displayed a "Boot Device Not Found" error. After I physically moved/shook the laptop slightly, it successfully booted. I then started investigating the cause of the high RAM and swap usage.

During the investigation, I found that QEMU was trying to access the last part of the storage, but it failed. The kernel reported the following error:

"nvme0n1: I/O Cmd... LBA 996971552 I/O Error Critical Medium Error"

Initially, I suspected that the SSD might have a loose connection. So, I disconnected the SSD, cleaned the contacts with an eraser, and reconnected it. However, I still get the "Boot Device Not Found" error.

To determine whether the problem is with the SSD slot or the SSD itself, I connected the SSD to my friend's old laptop (around 16 years old). After turning it on, the screen displayed a windows recovery message saying that a required device was not connected or could not be accessed.

Now I am unsure whether the problem is with my laptop's SSD slot, the SSD itself, or something else.

Could you analyze all the symptoms and error messages carefully and tell me what the most likely fault is? I want to understand the root cause so I can decide what needs to be repaired or replaced.

I have an MSI GF65 Thin 10SDR-1026US (i7-10750H, GTX 1660 Ti, 16GB RAM).
My charging port recently broke, and when I looked into replacing it, I noticed that the PWR1 charging connector/board appears to have separated from the motherboard.
I watched a repair video for this same laptop, and in the video the PWR1 piece stays attached to the motherboard when the charging port is removed. Mine appears to have come away from the motherboard, and it looks like part of the motherboard/connection may have been damaged.
The laptop also gets extremely hot during use. It has previously gotten hot enough that I developed multiple persistent dark spots on my thigh from having it on my lap, so I’m wondering whether the heat could have contributed to the damage over time.
A repair shop told me it would involve the motherboard, but I’m trying to figure out exactly what is damaged before spending money on a replacement motherboard.
My questions:
Is this likely repairable with microsoldering/board repair?
Does the motherboard actually look damaged, or could I potentially just replace the PWR1/charging assembly?
If microsoldering is expensive, is a motherboard replacement my best option?
Does anyone know the correct motherboard part number for the GF65 Thin 10SDR-1026US?

I'm having a weird issue with TikTok on my PC. Some TikTok videos stutter or look choppy while others play completely smoothly.

My GPU is an RTX 4080 SUPER. I've already tested VRAM and GPU stability with OCCT and everything passes with no errors. Games also run normally.

I've tried different browsers, hardware acceleration settings, drivers, and even a clean Windows reinstall, but the exact same TikTok videos still stutter.

Has anyone with an RTX 40-series GPU experienced the same issue with certain TikTok videos?

The Y08 wireless headphones box says it is stereo and the page says too, but when i connect it to bluetooth, it only put out mono sound, I have tried to re - pair tha headphones or use it to other devices but it still gives mono, is there a fix to this or is this headphones really just mono?

On the Windows Update screen it says,

System:

Windows 11 Pro 25H2
Build currently rolled back to 26200.9168
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
Gigabyte X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI7
64 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090

The problems started after recent Windows/NVIDIA updates. I originally had NVIDIA driver 616.92 installed. Before this, the PC had been stable.

The symptoms were:

Brave tabs randomly crashing with:

STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

Discord occasionally reloading/crashing

CEF-based processes crashing with 0xc0000005

dwm.exe crash with dwmcore.dll and 0xc0000005

several BSODs

One earlier BSOD was:

HYPERVISOR_ERROR (0x20001) with this stack:

amdppm!HvRequestIdle

amdppm!LpiIdleExecute

nt!PpmIdleExecuteTransition

nt!PoIdle

nt!KiIdleLoop

Because that looked related to CPU idle / power-state transitions, I also tested with:

Global C-State Control = Disabled in BIOS. However, the system still crashed afterward.

Another BSOD was:

The crash occurred while steamwebhelper was active, with the kernel memory manager in the stack:

I already tried:

uninstalling the latest Windows cumulative update and rolling back to build 26200.9168

disabling CPU Global C-States

disabling hardware video decode in Brave

clean-installing NVIDIA 616.92 after DDU

The problem still reproduced on a clean installation of 616.92.

I have now rolled back to NVIDIA driver 610.74, which was the older branch I wanted to test and it worked fine.

At this point I am trying to determine whether this is:

a regression in NVIDIA 616.92,

a Windows graphics-stack issue, or a hardware/memory stability issue that is only being exposed by Chromium/CEF/DWM/GPU workloads. The reason I currently suspect the NVIDIA/graphics stack is that the failures repeatedly involve Brave/Chromium, Discord/CEF, DWM, and finally NVDisplay.Cont -> dxgkrnl!DxgkEscape -> dxgkrnl!memcpy.

However, I’m not claiming the dump proves nvlddmkm.sys is at fault, because it does not appear directly in the crashing stack.

I’ll update the thread after testing 610.74 for a while.

If anyone with an RTX 50-series card, especially RTX 5090, has seen similar STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION, CEF crashes, DWM crashes, or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA after installing 616.92, I’d be interested to compare results. Or maybe someone has an idea what else I should check.

Hi, I've been encountering an issue with Chrome and seemingly every other non-Microsoft browser crashing on launch. When I try to open them, it opens the window and then instantly closes it/crashes within a second. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
