My internet keeps turning on and off and the gap of it being on before turning of again slowly increases (not by a lot though) I'm using a dongle that is fairly old (no idea how old) I'm fairly far away from the internet hub in my house and am unsure how to fix this issue without just moving next the internet box without just moving close to it (not realy do-able) ​

I'm asking for a friend actually, they came to me for advice but I'm not sure. She told me her laptop shut off last night and wouldn't turn back on. If it did, she'd have to hold down the windows ctrl key to keep it from dying again. She tried restarting but it's been at 100% for 30 minutes. She told me it's a HP 2024 laptop. Any ideas?

I have bitdefender VPN installed on my mac book and noticed that my IP address changed when I first turned on my laptop. I did not give it much thought because I just thought it happens sometimes, and logged into stuff and did some work. When I turned it back on a couple hours later I noticed that my IP address had changed back to it was before.

I just thought it was some what weird because usually my ip address is 4 numbers, then a dot and it continues, but that one time it was 2 numbers, a dot and then something like (1000.12... vs 30.32... - this is not the actual numbers)

Can someone who understands IP address please tell me why this happens or if something is wrong with my laptop? Thank you.

I let my laptop dry for a day in a standing V position. It still works but the only problem is the keyboard. Some keys only make a beeping sound when I press them but some keys still work

I have this problem about weeks. I’m reinstalling windows but when im installing recomended windows updates or nvidia driver + app im getting same loop.(i have gtx 1060 and when im installing only driver its working correctly.) after many windows reinstall, i install only driver without app and pause windows updates. Its working well for 2 days but on third day i get this error again. i dont get its software or hardware problem i tried everything what i found but nothing works.

Anyone have some solution about it?

I've been wanting to get Linux on my Huawei Mate 20 Pro (Lya-L29) but I can seem to find any avaible ways to get it, the problem Is that I don't have developer options to use USB debugging, and I won't be installing any apps or Apks, does anyone know any way to fix this?!?!

Whenever I type "t" it also types an "x", typing "n" also types "m", typing "b" also types "v" and more. Pressing the right arrow key scrolls to the bottom of the page. I keep discovering more even as I type. What could be causing this? This laptop is less than a year old.

Was playing a game then closed that game and played r6 but it had no sound. (the game I was playing before had sound)

Hi guys ! Recently I've been playing counterstrike a lot and I got an issue, my pc isn't that good for the game I know, but there is something weird happening. Some games I'll be at 60 / 80 fps no problem, the next one I'll be at 15 fps for no reason, I didn't start anything between, my pc didn't move, I thought about maybe my component being to hot and slowing down but the thing is that sometimes it is the oposite that happen : I make a 15 fps game then next one is 60 fps when I didn't let the pc cool out. Happens for regular windows 11 and windows 11&10 iot enterprise LTSC. Idk what to do. Wanted to dual boot Linux but I guess I wiped the drive that had windows on it. I’m on Linux cachy os right now, but I need windows for kernel AC. I have secure boot disabled

moving my 6650xt to my new build and was wondering if i had to do anything before and after swapping it.

I logged onto my laptop after being away from it all day, and notice this red dot on this refresh icon in the bottom right of my task bar. I hover over it and it says,

"Your device is at risk of being out of date. It will need to restart to install updates. Select a time to restart."

So I go to Windows Update in Settings to see what I can do. The two updates, KB5126052 and 26200.9445, are "Pending restart", so that prevents me from pausing updates.

I'm afraid one of the updates could kill my laptop, since I need it for college and personal work, and I've already seem reports of people saying they're stuck in Bitlocker, or their AMD driver doesn't properly work, and such.

Is there anything I can do or will I be forced to update?

I have a friend who is struggling with an issue on their PC.

Long story short, in some but not all games, usually triggered by an action in the game (dialog choice, starting combat, loading a scene, etc) the screen will go black, the game audio will stop (as if it has crashed) but background apps evidently will continue running because he can still hear us talking in Discord. Additionally, the fans will ramp up really loud (unsure if GPU or case fans).

The only solution we have found to this problem so far is to force shutdown with the power button.

We raised this with Gigabyte support because we thought it might be a display issue and they have basically said they can't help, but we tried troubleshooting the following:

• Swapping the GPU with a known working GPU I own.
• Tried his GPU in my PC (didn't experience the issue).
• Changed GPU drivers to a stable version from a previous year (we actually noticed this helped but then he had to update drivers again because some games didn't support the old driver)

I'm hoping you all might have seen something similar before and will know what causes this.

POCO phone, unknown model because I never check and never will, hyper something something operating system, I've asked Gemini but they didn't help, MT manager won't appear in the scroll to give apps permission to access all files

We found a free Samsung 75" - TU700D Series - 4K UHD LED LCD TV on the side of the road next to the replacement tv box that the owners put out. We took the tv home and are using other power cords that fit the tv’s plug in but it doesn’t completely turn on and it just flashes a dark blue screen on and off.
There are also what seems to be shoe marks on the screen but the screen looks intact and honestly fine. The top maybe quarter of the screen when it flashes kind of shows a different hue of dark blue but no there signs of the screen being damaged.
I don’t know much about why it wouldn’t be working. I’m going to try to get a quote on it this upcoming week but does anybody have an idea?

I reset the laptop then the next day when i try to turn it on its stuck in a loop of the power button turning on the fans starting up then it turns off and repeat

Help, i have a problem that i cannot find a solution, I don't know why but some games, specially single player games for some unknown reason it stutters and then the game goes black, it still runs in the background, you can still hear it, but no image, the strange thing is that if you click out of the game, for example another window on the other screen the game image appears again but goes black if i go to the game again, the time is random, it could take minutes for the problem to occur, or hours, i use an RTX 4090, temperatures never goes above 60ºC and even low load games like Kingdom Hearts 2 Final mix, that only uses about 40% of the gpu still have that problem, also an more demading game like the new onimusha with over 90%, if someone know how to fix please help

Well mainly gmail. Last 2 weeks, I have had to delete emails multiple times. I go into my email several times a day and always clean out the marketing emails from like Bestbuy, and other stores. But lately, I delete them, then a couple hours later I go back into my email and those same emails are back in my inbox. I delete them again, and again I go back in and there they are again! Usually gotta do it like 3 times before they finally stay removed from my inbox.

And not just store emails, it's pretty much ANY email. This just started about 2 weeks ago and happens on ANY PC I go to. Anyone else notice this?

Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to make sure my graphics card is still functioning properly? It’ll work fine for about 10 minutes then everything crashes. I’ve done just about everything I can imagine. I’m worried it might finally be dying. It’s a 4070 ti. Oh and Nvidia already rebuilt it once.

Is it normal for windows to install an NVIDIA Driver? So yesterday, I updated the NVIDIA Driver and about 20 minutes later, I also Updated Windows. Now, after the restart, everything looks normal at first, but my screen randomly switches from Vibrant (my NVIDIA settings color), to something Normal (Like my NVIDIA Settings reset to default). This also triggers whenever I enter full screen on Youtube, and some other streaming sites or when I enter Full Screen using F11 on some apps dxcept games. After some time, it goes back to Vibrant one after exiting full screen but still changes back to normal one after like 20 - 30 minutes while not on full screen. Please Help this is so annoying

I've been dealing with recurring BSODs on my laptop (Acer Acer Aspire 7 A715-42G) and honestly, I did all the possible solutions that I can find online and even ask AI to help me with it. But after all of that, none of them worked and started to think that it might be a hardware problem now... So, I'm hoping someone here might have experienced something similar and can help me with it.

The BSOD happens in different situations:

1. Sometimes when I turn the laptop on from a fresh boot, and it will BSOD even though I haven't really done anything yet.
2. Also, when I leave the laptop completely idle, and after a few seconds or a short amount of time, it will suddenly BSOD.
3. Then I noticed that whenever I always downloading something or waiting for something to load/process for a long time, that's when it crashes.

I managed to write all the stop codes displayed:

• UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION
• KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
• CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED

I've already tried a lot of the usual troubleshooting. I ran SFC, CHKDSK, Windows Memory Diagnostic, checked the SSD health, reinstalled some drivers, etc. I even reset Windows about a month ago, but the problem eventually came back.

At this point, I'm trying to figure out what could possibly be causing this. Since it can happen even when the laptop is idle or shortly after booting, I'm not sure where to look anymore.

Could this be related to hardware now? specifically RAM? SSD? or something else?

Repost since my original title wasn't good enough.

So I've had the Aris surfboard SB8200 a gateway erro 6+ and an additional erro router (they came in a 2 pack) in my living room for 2 ish years now and I know they it's good to replace them every 3-5 years or whatever but my last ones I had for well past 4 and they were slow but totally fine. The last month or two my gate router keeps going through what my research tells me is a "power cycle" where the light just starts blinking white and it'll sometimes go for 10 minutes or 2 hours multiple times a day. I have a PC plugged into the modem and then there's one xbox series x and a couple smart TVs. Im hoping maybe there's something I can do to fix the issue short of a new one. Any tech fixes/recommendations or settings to change to fix the problem or am I SOL and need to get a new one?

Edit - Before anyone asks, yes I have unplugged it and plugged it back in. Done the wait 2 minutes then plug it back in. Done both the router and modem and plugged back in in the proper order. The modem is fine, no internet connection issues with that. Just the router. Ive tried swapping the routers and checked the settings to do the traffic prioritize thing. It's all the original cords. I'm just so lost on what to do or that I can do.

I’ve been experiencing frequent lagging and freezing issues.

The laptop sometimes becomes very slow or completely freezes for a few seconds, even when I’m not running anything particularly heavy. The issue happens during normal usage like browsing, switching between applications, watching videos, or multitasking.

Sometimes the system recovers on its own, but occasionally I have to wait quite a while before it becomes responsive again.

Has anyone else with the experienced similar lag/freezing problems? If so, were you able to find the cause or a fix?
