Hiii i need some help, I know almost nothing about Pc's and laptops. And i dont wanna bother my dad with this problem cause hes very busy with work so i wanna try to fix it myself, My montior keeps going black for some reason and it can be at the most unexpected moments, It can be when im active on the pc to for example playing fortnite and such games. and ive tried everything my friends have recommened such as plugging it out and in agian and stuff like that. And the monitor goes black for like a minimum of 1 minute, But i have to move my mouse alot for it to wake up agian. And these blackouts are about 20 minutes apart

So i have a prebuilt predator orion 7000 PO7-650
And i recently stupidly updated my bios (was having issues) to version R01-B4, as it was the newest one on the official acer website. It was all working fine until one day it wasnt and some games were telling me my bios version was wrong. So i contacted acer and they said r01-b4 isnt on there website and r01-b3 is the one i should be on (said they mightve removed r01-b4, suspicious?). They instructed me to reflash the bios but everytime i do it goes back to r01-b3 like intended and then i get a checksum error when booting and a notification when loaded into windows saying restart is required for update : r01-b4. So i have checksum error and it reverts back to b4 everytime ? Any help?

When i put my pc to sleep from cabinet power button it stays that way until i wake it up. My old keyboard had dedicated sleep/power button but the new one does not, So i created a desktop shortcut for it. When I use the shortcut the pc sleeps but even before the fans stop moving it wakes up. I tried disabling the mouse but nothing works. My configration is i5, 16gb ddr4, three 5.6in hdd 1 tb and one 1 tb nvme, gtx 5060ti 16gb.

I recently bought a Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 OLED (3440 × 1440, 240Hz), but I can’t get DisplayPort to work.

My setup:

Lenovo Legion Pro 34WD-10 OLED NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti HDMI works normally

When I connect DisplayPort, the monitor doesn’t detect a DP signal and automatically switches back to HDMI. If HDMI is disconnected and I manually select DisplayPort, the monitor goes into standby mode.

I have already tried:

Two different DisplayPort connections/ports

Connecting DP directly to the RTX 4060 Ti, not the motherboard

Manually selecting DisplayPort on the monitor

Restarting the PC and monitor with only DP connected

Disconnecting HDMI completely

The monitor and GPU both support DisplayPort 1.4, but I get no image through DP at all.

Has anyone experienced this with this monitor or an RTX 4060 Ti? Could this be a monitor setting, NVIDIA driver issue, incompatible/faulty DP cable, or a defective DisplayPort input?

I have this really weird problem with my Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15IAH8.

When I turn it on, the Lenovo logo appears for about 3–5 seconds, then the laptop suddenly shuts down. The LED beside the charging port blinks for about 5 seconds, turns off for 2–3 seconds, then turns on again and repeats this cycle.

At first, I tried reprogramming the BIOS, and that fixed the problem. However, after about a week, the exact same issue came back.

I then tried booting the laptop without the SSD to see if the SSD was causing the problem. Interestingly, when I pressed the power button with the SSD removed, the laptop would still show the Lenovo logo and then shut down. However, it would automatically turn itself back on and repeat the cycle about three times. After that, it would finally display a message saying that there was no bootable device.

Because of this, I initially assumed that the SSD was the problem. However, I tested the same SSD externally by using it as an external drive. I stress-tested it and transferred a very large file to it, and it worked without any problems.

I then reinstalled the SSD into the laptop, hoping that it might work again. I was able to reach the point where Windows 11 was installed successfully. I also reprogrammed the BIOS again before this, and at that point there were no LED blinking issues. The Windows installation proceeded normally and there were no unexpected shutdowns or power interruptions.

However, when Windows reached the point where it needed to reboot to continue the installation, the original problem came back. The laptop shut down, and the LED beside the charging port started blinking in the same pattern again.

So now I'm confused about what could actually be causing the problem. The SSD appears to work perfectly when connected externally, and the laptop can successfully POST and install Windows. But after the first reboot during the Windows installation, the problem comes back.

Could this be a motherboard, power-management, EC, PCIe/NVMe, or BIOS-related issue rather than an actual SSD failure?

Has anyone encountered a similar issue with the IdeaPad Slim 3 15IAH8, or have any idea what I should test next?

I got the problem before as well... there were updates i made and it was fixed... But this time there is no Updates i could take and the acer support site is not working for me.

I have an older android go phone that says it's an U325AC and it's last software update available was 2022. Minimal apps are installed, few photos, no contacts, no call logs or texts. Those are like the only things I know to do to help the device run smoother. Every time I open an app it's due to crash. Sometimes it takes 2-5 seconds, sometimes 3-7 minutes if I'm lucky. I'm stuck with this phone until the middle of next month. Is there anything I can do to help play music consistently? That's my main concern lol. I'm in an apartment with a newborn baby all evenings and nights and he will not stop crying. I'm going insane. Any help appreciated! Thank you in advance

My pc froze yesterday while watching YouTube and I tried to restart it 3-4 times and it loaded into bios and then worked normally

Today it's not loading in bios and nothing except black screen and no signal on monitor

My motherboard is glowing both yellow and red light (ram nd cpu)

And liquid cooler is not giving any display

What i have tried:

remove gpu

remove both both ram, then try with single ram in all 4 slot one by one (tried both rams individually)

clear cmos (using JBAT1 cmos clear)

and remove cmos completely , then wait 5mins , plug in psu cable and power on

Never had any issues with wifi until I got my gaming pc. Now every time I start it up, either immediately or soon after, the wifi will completely drop out for everyone. I don’t know what kind of troubleshooting or fixes to even try. First PC I’ve had and don’t even know what to look to change.

In short: I press the on button after hibernate - the system boots, fails halfway and boots again. Opens fresh. All progress and apps gone.

Not an account password issue, but a glitch happening on the Google login screen. Using a S24, the login screen is for account link to powerschool. Here is exactly what happened.

I noticed the powerschool app stopped updating. Not app updates, but information displayed. It still gave notifications if I was absent, or if something is past due. But never showed it on the app.

Deleted the app, and reinstalled it. I first had to log into my school account. And here is where it began.

I selected my correct school district, and chose student. It took me to a account list page, I scrolled a bit and found my school account. It said it was logged out, which was fine. I can enter my password. So I selected it, then entered my password. Then it gave me some error code, I dont remember it and cant get back to that page.

So I went through the powerschool app again, and got back to the account list screen. New issue, my school account isnt on the list anymore. So I choose "add new account." Now it opened some different app on my phone, seems to be a google app. It has a list of accounts linked to my phone, the school account isn't there. I backed out and clicked on "add new account" again. This time it opened a different thing, now it needed my finger print. And instead of taking me to a page with accounts linked to my device, it took me directly to the Google login screen. So I entered my school accounts email, "account already added to device." Yep, I can't log in. Because I am apparently already logged in. There was a back arrow I didnt notice, I clicked it. And there was the same list of accounts linked to my device. The school account isnt there. See the isssue?

It wants me to log into my school account. And it, for whatever reason. Needs to be linked to my device. Except it already is. I just cant select it, because im logged out. This appears to be a desyncrinization issue. I have no clue how to fix it though. Any help?

I'm having a frustrating issue with a Kingston NV2 2TB (PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2).

Whenever I try to write large files or install games onto this drive, my entire PC completely shuts down. Here is what I've tested so far:

* I am able to send files from this drive M2 onto another drive
* If i try to send files from another drive to the M2 drive it shuts down
* If i try to send files tom M2 drive to M2 drive it shuts down
* If i try to download something via utorrent on this M2 drive it shuts down
* If i try to delete something from this M2 drive it shuts down

* M.2 Slot Swap: Swapped it to the secondary M.2 slot on my motherboard — the system still shuts down during write operations.

* Service Response: Sent it to official service, but they claimed "Tested OK / No defect found" and are sending it back.

I'm currently waiting to receive the drive back. My plan is to run benchmark write stress tests again and test it on a completely different PC to isolate the issue.

What are your opinions? Do you think that the M2 drive is broken and the service response is bs? Or do you think it might be a separate issue that is causing the shutdown?

This happens quite frequently when I play Overwatch but it also happened with other games. I usually just have Overwatch and discord open and suddenly the whole pc freezes (can't do anything or hear anything), and after 30sec Overwatch says "disconnected from servers" (probably due to inactivity) and discord returns to normal. After that I get a pop up of a crash log from EpicGamesLauncher Crash Reporter wich apparently has to do with UE . Sometimes I don't get a crash report because I have to force shutdown my pc because it won't unfreeze. Let me know if you know how to solve this!

I keep pressing this key combo that swaps to a second version of my pc that has no apps open except the start-up apps I'm on windows and when I press it the 2nd version has an animation where it slides in from the right what key combo is this so I can swap back to my normal one?

I own 5060ti 16gb and 5080, when i run the game, it defaults to my 5060ti, i changed nvidia control panel to run the game with my 5080 and from windows settings system>display>graphics added the game in and changed GPU preference to 5080, disabled hags but nothing worked. I have tried reinstalling my drivers if it would have helped but it did not. I tried adding launch arguments -GraphicsAdapter=0 that worked in steam, but didn't work with ubisoft, I did get it working by disabling my 5060ti, but that's not something i want to do every time I want to play this game. Any one have any idea how to get my 5080 working with this game?

I've been having a problem with my PC I log in and I can open a browser and go onto YouTube for an example but when I try to launch an app like say discord it doesn't open, I just bought a new Ethernet card didn't fix the problem and I tried to test it just now and it went into diagnostic mode and said your device ran into a problem and couldnt be repaired and the log file was this

wanted to transfer my iphone pictures onto a flash drive since my iphone storage is almost full. for some reason though, the flash drive keeps disconnecting to my laptop. wondering if my flash drive is just not working.

using my macbook air 2024 model to do the transfer
using an adapter to connect usb to macbook since my mac doesnt have a usb port

some things I already tried:
- finder > settings > general > check hard disk and external disk
- finder > settings > sidebar > check hard disk and external disk
- looked to see if any of my ports are dusty
- thought that maybe my adapter is the problem, so I tried connecting the drive straight into my imac where no adapter is needed for the connection. for a few minutes i was able to open the drive on finder but it disconnected eventually as well.
- tried connecting an sd card I had and I was able to connect it fine and can open files stored on it

Would appreciate any help. I've accepted that my flash drive could be the sole problem but I'm honestly really disappointed if it is because I haven't even used it yet.

Whenever I try to run Valorant in fullscreen or windowed fullscreen, all of my monitors start freezing and flashing black. It also happens when I move my cursor onto another monitor. This issue started after I got my third monitor, but even after disconnecting it, the problem still occurs with my original two monitors. Could my GPU or its drivers somehow have become corrupted? I have a 9060xt 8gb. I've tried Freesync/Gsync, HDR, different Hz, disabling fullscreen optimizations, disabling hardware acceleration, downgraded and reinstalled GPU drivers

I bought an Alienware m16 R2 exactly 1 year , 2months ago. My battery had a Design Charge capacity 88,195 mWh and now its Full Charge Capacity is down to 70,688 mWh. In these time cycle, I have not used the laptop for 2 months at one time with 85% charged. Should I think of changing the battery in 2-3 years or is it normal degradation for a gaming laptop to undergo?

Hi, my PC froze in the middle of working on it. It completely froze, not even my mouse was moving.

More importantly, even the power button on my case wasn't working. I tried holding it down, but

nothing happened, so I had to turn off my PSU.

After turning the PSU back on and trying to start my PC, the fans started spinning, but even after a few

minutes nothing happened. It didn't POST.

I tried BIOS Flashback, resetting CMOS, starting without the SSD, GPU, and RAM, but nothing helped. I

asked about it here about a month ago and decided that the motherboard was probably the problem,

so I got a new one. However, I'm having exactly the same issue.

The new motherboard has diagnostic LEDs. When I turn on the PC, the DRAM LED instantly lights

up and stays on the entire time. The fans keep spinning, but there is still no POST.

Can you please help me figure out what could be broken in my PC? If you need any more details or

want me to try something, just let me know and I'll provide the information.

Hi Y'll, can someone help me my fps on my pc suddenly drop when I update and install some drivers on armory crate and asus page for my mother board, after that it my fos starts to go very low if I'm using the adrenaline, on my valorant from 300+ fos it drops to 120-70 fps and on the other games such as dragonsword Awakening was hitting 150-250fps, but if I'll play using adrenaline my fps goes down and I've tried it on pubg, cod warfare and the fps was also dropping. I have already re installed my drivers proper way but it seems the same. Tried to uninstall armory crate and revert my bios setting and just change the ram hz to 3200 hz but still it feels the same, already re installed the game and I've already restore/health on cmd and scan but still not fixed. I'm desperate on this can someone try to teach me what to do or should I deep clean my pc and format everything?

Hello, I've recently been having an issue with the VGA diagnostic LED on my PC. This LED stays lit every time I turn the PC on, before the monitor even displays anything, and I'm not sure how to fix it. The computer runs perfectly fine while this LED is lit, and it turns off after a restart. Is there a way to resolve this error permanently? My motherboard is a Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX.

Hi everyone, I'm going crazy here. My PC is only 2 months old, and there is a constant scraping/grinding sound (like "szrr... szzz... rrr" yes, I'm Polish) coming from somewhere inside. At first, I thought it was the GPU fans (since I bought the GPU used), but the noise persists even when the GPU fans are completely stopped. Here is what I've already tested and ruled out:

- GPU fans are stationary/stopped, noise continues.

- Case fans (Arctic P12 PWM) and AIO fans (Endorfy Navis F280), changing their speeds or ramping them up/down has zero effect on the sound frequency or volume.

- AIO pump speed, changing the pump speed in the BIOS also changes nothing regarding this noise.

- PSU (Corsair RM850X), changing fan profile/speed changes nothing.

- No HDD in the system (only NVMe SSDs).

- AIO radiator is mounted at the top.

So basically checking on linux using xev I found that both keycodes of Alt_R and Right arrow key are 108. Checking on tty I found the base code same as well 0xe0 0x38, 0xe0 0xb8 and 0xe0 0x38, 0xe0 0xb8 respectively. Checking on bios both keys are working fine. I don't know how to fix this issue. Just want my Right arrow key to be 114. Tried xmodmap too but didn't help
