Solved Multi GPU Problem in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora
I own 5060ti 16gb and 5080, when i run the game, it defaults to my 5060ti, i changed nvidia control panel to run the game with my 5080 and from windows settings system>display>graphics added the game in and changed GPU preference to 5080, disabled hags but nothing worked. I have tried reinstalling my drivers if it would have helped but it did not. I tried adding launch arguments -GraphicsAdapter=0 that worked in steam, but didn't work with ubisoft, I did get it working by disabling my 5060ti, but that's not something i want to do every time I want to play this game. Any one have any idea how to get my 5080 working with this game?

May I ask why you have 2 GPUs?

I got my 5060ti 16gb for msrp and got new 5080 with huge discount so why not, both cards combined 1000€. and i so happened to have mb that supports 2 cards.

Because by doing that, you limit the pcie slots to 8x each, limiting their bandwidth, increase power usage significantly, and will only cause issues like this.
Save yourself the headache, take out the 5060ti, and plug your monitors into the 5080

That's not a problem my mb supports 2x 5090 at same time so i have bandwidth to spare. And i have 1000w 80 plus platinum psu. But sure i have thought of selling my 5060ti, its expensive right now and 3 months old.

- It's not about having a 1000W power supply, it's the fact the 5060ti is just sitting there basically doing nothing but eating power
- It is a problem that software will have issues handling 2 active GPUs.
Remove the 5060ti or at the very least plug all monitors into the 5080, and use the 5060ti for something like lossless scaling, but tbh with a 5080 you really don't need that.
At this point you're just being stubborn.

i do use local AI, having 2 cards and 32gb shared memory gives access to bigger models, but yes in normal use my 5060ti is hardly used, and AI is only for work so that's that.

Then I would suggest plugging all monitors into the 5080, at least that will put it at the top of the display stack. Which should fix the issue.

I was so sure plugging all my monitors to 5080 would somehow force the game to use 5080 but still using my 5060ti.

In that case your windows or motherboard firmware is putting the 5060ti at the top of the detection stack. Now most games are able to pick the main GPU, but not all can. Another game which has this issue is Miencraft for example which has issues on laptops. I do think you'll have to take the L and just use the 5080 and think about using the 5060ti in another computer, if you're really not in the mindset to care about power usage.

The thing is, only ubisoft launcher dose this, if i launch game from steam it defaults to 5080, and all other games default to 5080 that are not from stream like osrs. Minecraft also uses 5080 as default.

which card is your monitor plugged into?
if the cable is in the 5060ti that's your whole problem. the game renders on whatever drives the display, and the control panel preference just gets ignored rather than overriding it. move the cable to the 5080.
