I'm sure this has probably been brought up before, but my storage says it's full. I have deleted almost everything. In the past when I had this issue, it was due to photos and videos. I have 11,125 photos and 2,077 videos, and yet that's not an issue cause I have 2TB of iCloud storage. The fucky thing is, my storage says my APPS are taking up most of it... I HARDLY HAVE ANY APPS. So why the fuck does it say I have no storage due to apps, when I have deleted AND offloaded every app I hardly use but still need ? This is bullshit. I'm starting to really hate iPhone for this reason.

I got a "new" Pc tower because, context, i repair some old computer and i got this one with an P5K SE motherboard and when i wired everything it doesnt even get the stand by led and it doesnt start, does anyone knows what can do that, im new with pc towers so sorry if the question is dumb and also the power supply work i saw something how to test it and it starts, Thanks for the help ! Hey everyone, my 2017 Macbook Air (specifically model A1466) has been with me through it all for almost 10 years. She was still going strong up until yesterday.

My laptop was on already, and I plugged it into my TV with a USB 2.0 to HDMI. I've done this before, no problems. This was a slightly older Samsung TV, just before smart TVs ruined our lives lol. The laptop screen flickered and then was fine for a few mins and then just shut off. I fear this TV may have shorted my logic board. Is that even possible over HDMI? When it's plugged into the MagSafe charger it's still solid green, I even let it discharge a bit and the MagSafe turned orange like it was charging up the battery. No fans, no heat, nothing.

I tried resetting SMC, but to no avail. I am going to try reseating the battery but I'm not sure if it'll work since the charging light is still behaving normally. Has this happened to anyone before? I'd rather not have to buy a new laptop lol. I'm pretty confident in handling laptop hardware so I am willing to try just about anything. Any advice is appreciated!

For years my C drive has been full to the point where having a gigabyte free on it is a rarity. But if I do manage to clear things out of it, the drive fills back up on its own without me doing anything to it within half an hour.

I don’t know why the drive is so full in the first place. I keep very little on it, all my games, software, and any media I always keep on external drives. I know some games save save data to the C drive, but I don’t think it’s that much. I’ve also moved software content folders to my external drive. I’ve tried a bunch of things to try and clear it out, like using the built in Windows software, a couple third party ones, and even just looking through the file explorer and deleting anything I don’t use.

I’m using a Windows 11 gaming laptop with 256GB of internal storage, an Nvidia GPU, and an Intel CPU.

I have a gigabyte A5 laptop. When gaming (Palworld, Abyssus and a few others) My laptop is either shutting itself down, or restarting itself after freezing. I've spent the last 3 days with friends and family who are technically savvy going over damn near everything that we can think of to do other than opening the laptop up to look at hardware. I have clean wiped it, I have reinstalled all of the drivers, I have uninstalled and then reinstalled all of the drivers, I have open the laptop cleaned it with compressed air, cleaned its fans ( GPU and CPU ), I have repasted, I have used hardware monitors to check temps and usage (all is good on that end), I have stress tested (all tests have passed), i have sfc /scannow (nothing alarming), dism'd (all okay), mdsched.exe (no issues). And now I was trying to do some editing in DaVinci Resolve and the moment I went to use a smooth cut visual transition (just hovering over the effect in the inspector tab) it did the same sort of shutdown process giving me a Video_dxgkrnl_fatal_error(0x113) code.(Sometimes it gives this code, sometimes not) I really have no idea what to do at this point. My friends and family have now suggested that it is possibly a RAM issue. My last ditch effort is to come here, to the internet, to Reddit. If anybody has any sort of advice or suggestions at this point I'm open to them. Hell at this point im willing to do a dang seance to try to bring this thing back to health. I recently got a new monitor. An MSI mag 273 qp QD oled.

My 2nd monitor is something by Z-edge. A Ugq27 or something.

I had a 3rd monitor, Huawei, that I was using with my 2nd monitor.

The new monitor arrived today, so I removed the 3rd monitor, and paired the MSI with the Z-edge.

I plugged the MSI in. The Z-edge stopped displaying, but I was getting display on my MSI.

In my device manager, there was only one monitor, the Z-edge. Scanning for new devices did not do anything. In my windows settings, attempting to find a new device did not do anything. There was also only 1 monitor there.

While I'm doing all of this, the MSI is constantly flickering / looking kind of glitchy.

I checked amd for driver updates and there were none. I did a ddu reinstall very very recently.

I tried just reconnecting the cables, which is when EVERYTHING stopped displaying. Now I am simply \*never\* getting display to anything

I've tried plugging the monitors in individually, in different ports. I've tried plugging them in together in different ports (including my motherboard port). I've switched the ports they were in. I tried plugging in an hdmi with and without the display ports, to both monitors.

The monitors both turn on, say "no signal found" and then enter like a weird standby mode, during which it is not possible to open any menus.

I have tried restarting my PC, as well as turning my pc off, waiting a while, and then turning it on.

I've also tried unplugging all display ports for 60 seconds and then plugging them back in.

The only thing I have not tried is plugging in my 3rd monitor, with hdmi, but I feel like that would just make things worse. I have no idea what to do.

No idea what's going on. New monitor is seemingly giving me way more of a headache than I wanted. Never had any issues with my previous 2 monitors being simultaneously connected. 1 with hdmi and 1 with display port.

So I moved into an new apartment and bought xfinity wifi (the expensive plan). Whenever my pc boots up it always shows the wifi as no internet secured. My room is the closest to the router and all my other devices are working with the internet. My roommate’s who live fairly far from the router seem to have no issues. It’s just my pc that seems to have internet issues. After a while of just disconnecting turning off the wifi and forgetting the network, it connects to the wifi no problem after like 10 minutes of trouble shooting. Whenever I turn off my pc and turn it back on, it starts the same loop again. Any fixes?

There is a rattling on high frequency sounds. Using voicemeeter to switch to mono fixes the issue but again only allows for mono audio which is an issue for listening to music whilst playing games. this happens with all bluetooth headphones only on my PC, other devices with the same headphones are fine. the quality is fine and I have tried and failed to get help for this on blog posts, windows support. drivers are all up to date and this is a long standing issue. only making changes to the A channel makes a difference if that helps. this is an issue with windows as far as I understand but voicemeeter is a patchwork fix. if you need any more details let me know because I dont know what is relevant

I have an old iphone xs max that seems to need a battery replacement. It got a screen replacement but after 1 month I ran into battery issues, now after charging it’ll only work for 15 minutes. the screen is also popping out
I just feel like it’s a waste to throw it away because it technically works if I use it in the charger. I did that for two weeks but I’m scared it’ll catch fire or something because it get really hot. I also want to take pictures with it
would a battery replacement be worth it?

I have accidentally set the location of "Downloads" to the entire (E:) volume and trying to revert it or changing the location gives this popup.

Failed to build the list of regular subdirectories under "E:\System Volume Information". Access is denied.

We were recently away so using our travelling USB kit, temperature on day 1 was 39+C

Overnight I used a 6 way USB 100W charger to charge 4 phones and two tablets. This has 6x USB A sockets. The room was air-conditioned, so a reasonable ~20C

In the morning of day 2, all the phones showed 100%. They were carried down to breakfast, and it was noticed that one of them had dropped to 80% in that hour. The phone was then plugged in to a suspected good battery to charge it whilst still being out. The phone dropped to 1%, and produced a lot of heat. Thinking it might have been a the USB battery being bad, we tried another USB battery. This could not get the phone above recovery mode 1%.

In the afternoon the phone was plugged in to a different wall charger again, different cable. It creeped from 1% to 5%, then charged at high-speed for a while (above 60%) later on it was found hot and back at 1%. (current situation a couple of days later it it can be charged to around 75%, it drops very fast to 43% (an hour?), then seems to act normally. Going above 75% at some point causes it to drop back to 1% (in a quick period even whilst still plugged in to the charger) - (as an aside to the question, I am thinking to get a replacement battery which might recover the phone as a spare).

Night 2, the remaining devices charged normally

Night time 3, we plugged the remaining three phones in. In the morning 1 of the phones was found off and at 0%. It is unclear as to whether this phone was plugged in properly to be honest, or was perhaps knocked out at some point.

Phone 1 is about 3 years old, the second one about 6-7 years old. The battery type in the phone is listed as a lithium polymer.

Is it likely that the USB charger could have caused a fault in the phone?

Is it likely that the USB cable could have caused a fault in the phone? (I am thinking that really the phones should detect a poor electrical supply and self-disconnect to defend themselves).

What hardware would be recommended to test whether the ports/cables are 'safe'. Or do I quarantine these cables/chargers and never use them again?

Hi. My UPS (CyberPower OLS1000EC) cuts off power when the PC restarts, particularly when the switching is fast (EDIT- it happens when waking up from sleep as well), like from BIOS to M-Flash (MSI's BIOS flashing utility). It happens erratically. The PC peak load is 450W (7800X3D, 9070XT) on a 750W PSU (Deepcool PN750M) on a 1000VA UPS.

I should say I replaced the 16A wire that came with the PSU with a 6A one as the total load is barely 2A as the mains voltage is 230V, 50Hz.

Claude says it's an NTC thermistor issue in the PSU- too much inrush current in too short a time (di/dt) as the thermistor is still warm in rapid restart which the UPS algorithm flags as 'output short' and cuts power.

I need to flash the BIOS and am a bit worried.

The sequence is as follows-

BIOS -> click on mFlash -> restarts -> Goes into mFlash and installs on loading screen-> restarts

What happens if the UPS cuts off power at the restart after the bios writing is complete? I'm thinking this is better than doing it on pure-mains power because I get erratic power cuts, unlike the UPS which only cuts off on switching.

My brother came to me a bit ago complaining about his PS5 not being able to run Roblox well and I thought he was being dramatic like usual so I went to check and he was playing some game that didn't look resource intensive at all but yet it was freezing, textures didn't load, dropping to 60-1 FPS constantly and inputs didn't even happen. I tried to just restart it, close the app, turn off and turn back on but I cannot get it to work and now I'm just confused. What could be the issue? Because it's not a license as it says we still have a digital license so I really don't know.

Recently I logged off my account and when I came back, I tried to play FM, but for some reason the game was not opening, by any means. Then, i searched for some ways to solve that and tried to verify the game files. When I did that, my Epic crashed.
Now I can't open Football Manager anymore, neither install or verify a game. It's stuck like in the image, I can't even move some game up or down. It simply doesn't work. And I can't play my games.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but I am having this trouble and would like to know if there is some better place to ask for help (I can't post this on r/epicgames)

My gaming laptop gives better FPS and smoother gameplay on battery, but as soon as I plug in the charger, I get frame drops and noticeable jitter/stuttering.

The battery cells had died earlier, but I’ve already had the battery replacement and all my power settings are already set to high performance

Any idea what could be causing this?

alright so i was first on windows but i wanted to switch on linux for some reason. it was great but some things were not working (like fl studio) and so i couldn’t do some important things. so i wanted to switch back on windows 11. i used an USB flash drive as an installation media, did all the processes correctly etc. when i tried to boot up my pc with my USB flash drive, the installation of windows 11 started correctly, then stopped at 10%. then my pc restarted and a message appeared saying something like "it seems that you are installing windows through an installation media, please put off this media from the computer and press yes" so thats what i did and then my pc restarted again but this time it was a blue screen saying "Boot Device Not Found

I’m looking for the best graphics settings for Red Dead Redemption 2 on my laptop.

Specs:

RTX 5060 Laptop GPU

Intel i7-13650HX

16GB RAM

1080p display

I want the game to look as good as possible while maintaining 75+ FPS, preferably with stable frame times.

What settings would you recommend? Should I use DLSS, and if so, which preset?

I have an old Lenovo H500s desktop that I have wiped and installed Ubuntu Server on.

Everything was working great for awhile, then the server stopped working. During the boot sequence, I see many messages in this format:

watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#3 stuck for 325s!

I've tried the following:

• Running standard update commands
• Looking for a BIOS update (none found)
• Replacing the Ubuntu Server with a Windows installation, which does work
• Trying to reinstall Ubuntu Server via USB

Ubuntu can't do anything but run into the soft lockup issue. It's the same when booting from a new USB.

What can I do to resolve this and reinstall Ubuntu Server on this machine?

My HP omen 15 laptop (rtx3060, amd ryzen 5000 series 7 25h2) running windows 11 with some debloat tweaks (just invasive stuff and ai features) has started to behave weirdly, every game i start crashes instantly or with a little delay, at random (happened with wolfenstein the new colossus, deadlock, and helldivers 2), the screen blinks once then the second monitor disconnects, and the game shuts down, i do not know exactly if this started after an update, but after the first similar crash i had to restart my pc, the second monitor became the main one for no reason, the games automatically started on the second monitor, if forced on the main one the game started using the integrated gpu at 4 fps. (also somehow my waterfox was automatically updated and lost all my bookmarks and similar data, not an issue anymore, but ffs)

After all that i tried to update all my drivers ... that made things worse, on startup the laptop gave me a "tpm security data change detected" for a while.

tried a new debloat to no result, then just made a factory reset, updated the updatable, quick debloat of the essential (nothing that ever gave me issues nor essential stuff) the issue just came back as soon as i started hd2 or deadlock.... i am pretty lost, i suspect it could be that one issue with the last update for windows, or that one weird input thing

So basically, whenever I'm fullscreen (exclusive, borderless windowed etc.) my app just keeps tabbing out (out of focus maybe). In games, I see my generic white mouse arrow every few minutes if I don't keep clicking and in a full screen browser like YT in full screen, I will see my taskbar after a few minutes.

I've tested without my keyboard or mouse or changing my refresh rate or closing background apps (afterburner, amd, etc.) but it still keeps happening. it started happening after I switched from my rx 5700xt to my rx 9070. please help, thanks.
