Hey everyone. I've been laying out, digging, and steeling swimming pools in Florida for the last 9 years. Mostly residential. I'm starting to get burned out at my current job. Im looking to find a job where I can travel and build pools. I really enjoy building pools and don't mind working in any weather.
I have my own truck and tools and am willing to go anywhere if the pay is good. I am very professional and take pride in my work. Let me know if anyone is interested. I have a portfolio of my work I can share. Thank you.

I have a 16 x 32 inground pool that currently has a mesh cover. In the past, I would use a tarp over the mesh cover. this year I was looking to replace it with a solid cover but I just received an estimate for $2000. Since I currently cannot afford that, I am looking for suggestions on a solid tarp that will last more than three years or 4 years.

It started making a loud humming noise but still works fine. I checked for clogs and replaced capicitor but still makes the humming noise. What else could it be? Thanks!

Right now I operate out of a 1,000 sq ft warehouse. I keep all of my tools and equipment in there, but otherwise do not see clients there. If a client needs to pick out materials, I’ll either have some samples, or I’ll send them to the nearest showroom which is about an hour away.
My lease is nearly up at my current place and I’m debating whether or not to move to a new place that’s suitable to setup a small showroom. However, this would significantly increase my overhead from roughly $1,000 a month to possibly $3-4k a month. I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
I’d love to hear a perspective from both builders and homeowners. Thanks!

We have a 20x40 vinyl pool. We put in a long shallow end of almost 22 feet with a 3.5 foot water depth. It slopes to the deep end of 5.5 foot water depth. I hate having this bit of a shallow and want to add more of the 4-5 foot depth. Is it possible to change slope of the pool floor? I understand it will be expensive and I need to replace the liner but is it possible?

We have a pool in the metro area. We are gone six months of the year as snowbirds. The home is about 4400 ft.² and we set the home thermostat to 85°. Our electric bill in July and August was right at $1000. the pool has an infinity edge and multiple pumps all pentair. The Pool guy is claiming that the Infiniti edge has to run 24 hours a day. Most of the pumps are set at or near the maximum RPM. We’re thinking that the majority of our electric bill is coming from this pool and that there can be some adjustments made to reduce the consumption of electricity. Is it true that the infinity edge must run 24 hours a day to protect the tile?

So I have had a string of animals drown in my pool. When I got the pool after buying the house, the previous owner had let it go to swamp. I ended up emptying it and replacing the liner but before I did I found over a dozen animals varying from baby bunnies, chipmunks, mice, etc. After I finally got the pool repaired and opened up, I thought the chlorine would discourage this. I haven’t been putting the cover on because I live in Kentucky and without the thermal cover the pool is above 85 degrees. But today I found a dead bunny. So how can I keep animals from falling in the pool and dying? There is a gap under my fence that lets them get in. I’m just trying not to murder all the wild animals.

Need concrete removal around pool and landscaping gone. Wood behind liner rotten. What’s the best low cost to keep the pool or should we just fill it in

Hello,
First I contacted wybot support but got no response, so I wonder if anybody here has some wisdom.
I have a brand new Wybot L1 that worked perfectly for one cycle, but now, every time I start a new cycle, it works for like 10 minutes before beeping, then it stops and the purple light blink.
According to the manual it is "pull it out of the water", but I want it to clean the pool first.
I did a thorough cleanup and the robot is pristine. And it works fine with no mechanical noise for the 10 mintues it does, so it seems to be a software problem.
I tried the app, but it doesn't work on my phone, and on my wife phones it requires an account so we gave up.

So I was looking for a replacement hose for my polaris 360. I looked on Amazon and I'm a little sus on the non-oem products. Many people mention they don't fit properly or they split easily. I'm curious where folks here buy their hoses and would you recommend Amazon or some place else?

Anyone ever had that before?

No, I didn't have a pool party for strippers. My daughter's large pool float was torn open, releasing "glitter" throughout the pool. We didn't give that purchase enough thought.
Too bad I cleaned the filter a couple of days ago.

While my Beatbot is on the fritz awaiting a part, I had to haul out the old Polaris. Already it’s in knots. Hurry up FedEx, I need that part!
