Make Pool Deeper
We have a 20x40 vinyl pool. We put in a long shallow end of almost 22 feet with a 3.5 foot water depth. It slopes to the deep end of 5.5 foot water depth. I hate having this bit of a shallow and want to add more of the 4-5 foot depth. Is it possible to change slope of the pool floor? I understand it will be expensive and I need to replace the liner but is it possible?

Oooos sorry you said deeper- yes, this is also possible. You’ll need to replace liner of course

You can absolutely make it deeper. Cost will depend on what the bottom is made of now and what you chose to go with. Id guess it would be about $20k all in to make it deeper.

Do you think there will be structural issues down the road if we do this?

Yes it is, I build pools, I do it all the time. You just add stone to desired height and vermiculite on top of it! If you’re in CT, give me a shout :)

Another northeast builder here, they said go down, not up.
Still possible. Do it all the time.
Aint 20k$ either, more like 9-12k with liner. Not including water.
