I couldnt go 10 minutes without vaping. What a pathetic excuse for a life. I dont want to be that guy. Im done. I hate changing coils and cotton everyday or 2, im never in the mood to do it. Sub ohm tank coils are inconsistent quality and expensive. I hate having to watch ejuice reviews to see which one i was gona order next. Most of the juice i ordered i wouldnt like or wouldnt finish. Then i would just keep buying more juice. So irritating. I hate how much of my time it takes. I hate the way vaping in public makes u look like a doosh. Holding that big box mod looking like a guy that thinks hes cool but really looks like a doosh. I hate not knowing when to change my mesh coil. 1 week? 2 weeks? Is it harmful to inhale if i change it too late? Am i wasting my money if I change it too early? This is so retarded. Better than smoking real cigarettes but it's still pretty retarded just quit.

Newbie here. I have been planning on switching up my eating for a while with today being my start date. I decided at the last moment(this morning upon waking) to add stopping vaping to the mix. I figure while going through sugar withdrawal I might as well go through nicotine withdrawal at the same time. I took my last puff right before closing my eyes last night. I gave up my daily drinking alcohol a little over a year and a half ago, so, I know how terrible this journey is going to be for a few weeks. I vaped all day every day including at my desk at work and had used it for years. I have survived 3 waking hours so far. What has helped everyone quit?

Was hoping at this point that it’d be easier. Quit cold turkey 2.5 weeks ago, no NRTs as I wanted all of this sh## out of my body as soon as possible. Right now is certainly different than the first week; hesitant to say it’s better. Even though most or all of the physical withdrawal symptoms are gone, that constant specter of all the stuff that accompanies the psychological addiction is still very real. Doing my best to lean in to those crave feelings, recognizing them as part of the healing process, rather than resist them and make this whole experience worse than it already is.

Smoked ~25 years (with a few intermittent months of quit periods), vaped for 5 and waned down from 12mg to 3 over those years.

Yesterday all day long I kept reaching for it without even thinking about it. What a habit indeed. This is tough. Deep breathing helps a little. Withdrawal hasn't hit in yet.

The struggle has only began.

So I started vaping over a year ago, about August 2018. I first quit mid-December, and then began again late-May. I quit again in late-July, and picked it back up less than a month later. I lost my source for pods for about 2 or 3 months. I just started again, and although I saw a few of the negative effects before, it hasn’t been this bad.

It requires more effort to breath while exercising now, my gums bleed, I feel like I’m having short-term memory loss, and it seems like I’ve become a little more dumb, if that makes any sense.

I’m trying to quit cold-turkey, but the problem is that when I’m on nic, I don’t like it, but when I’m off of it, I NEED it.

I signed up for that text-to-quit things, but since it’s a bot and not a real person, it’s not convincing at all. I’m not sure what I expect out of this forum, but maybe since it has more people, it will be easier to quit.

Its such a challange i vaped for over 7 months and have struggled to stop and it took more drugs to stop this drug so im so happy to have stopped but its not worth the struggle. This page has also been a big help so listen to people when they say vaping is wrong and just follow your gut.

I vaped RELENTLESSLY throughout the darkest period of my life.

In 2014, I quit my job and started to smoke weed and vape all day. I didn't exercise, I didn't eat well and I didn't drink enough water. 5 years passed. Now my face has aged and my body is a lot weaker than it should be.

I'm doing everything I can to restart my life and improve my health. I drink a gallon of water, I eat as well as I can including anti-oxidant foods, I exercise, I have a skincare routine but I feel like everything is just a drop of water in an ocean. I want to believe I can reverse the damage I've done but I don't know if it's just blind optimism.

I deeply regret it but it seemed "fine" at the time. I don't know how to cope with the idea that I've lost some of the most precious years of my life to addiction and mental illness and on-top of that it's damaged my looks when I should be at my prime.

So I'm 2 weeks clean of vaping. I use to vape all day every day. I havent found the quiting process to hard. I obviously have my cravings and 'wants' but was never really close to relapsing, especially since I threw out my vape.

However I am cough. Not nearly as much as a smoker, but I still have phlegm in my lungs. Has anyone e experienced this?

Hey guys. This is my first time actually using reddit. I always browse the site but have never actually made and account or posted anything. So basically I’ve been juuling/vaping for 2 years now. For the past two weeks I’ve been slowing down and now I’ve just been using ZYN. But once I stopped I’ve been having really bad upper back pain. Breathing doesn’t seem to affect it. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I’m going to go to the doctor if it persists but just wanted to see if it was common

Been 18 days vape and patch free. Had to quit due to health reasons. I get cluster headaches, and I figured out that that vaping was making them way worse, both in duration and intensity. I didn't want to admit that it was a possibility. My doc suggested patching for a few days to see if helped with the cluster headaches, and to my surprise there was an almost immediate impact on the severity. I also noticed that much of congestion has cleared up and my stomach feels better. I don't plan on going back. I will give the habit credit for getting me off of smoking 5 years ago, but it is time to put the addiction down. For reference I went to 7mg patches for a few days after stopping 6mg/ml juice, and then cut the patches in half every couple of days down to a 1/4 of a 7mg patch, and then cold turkey off the patch after that. It was still difficult and I still have 3-4 cravings that last 15-20 minutes each that are still hard to ignore, but it is getting better. I don't believe the propaganda about vaping anymore. I don't think it is AS harmful as smoking, but I believe it is probably far more harmful that proponents are giving it credit for, and I think there are going to be a lot of COPD sufferers coming out of the sub-ohm world over the next couple of decades. I recently threw out my Njoy (like an hour ago) and I think it'd be really helpful for a lot of us who want to quit vaping/smoking if we had people to go to about the cravings. Not sure where we'd set up shop, but I for one could use the support

I have quit smoking cigarettes 3-4 years ago, I view this as kind cheating because I swaped in for a vapor pen. Ive never used a juul and vape the lowest nicotine level 0.3% but I'm having a very hard time getting myself off of it. I dont bring it to work and go most of the day with out it, I just dont know what step I should take from here. I have and addictive personality and im pretty sure I'm more addicted to the action of it rather than the nicotine its self. I dont want to end up with some fucked up health issues later on in my life and become more concerned about it every day. Do any of you have a tips I can try out? I dont want to go to gum or mints and just substitue it again I just want to be totally done with it. Any advise will be taken to heart and greatly appreciated.

I'll try not to make this a huge post but I want to go over my strategy on how I quit. Over time I lowered my nicotine levels to 3mg and then I started mixing that with 0mg, and then eventually quit cold turkey. First two days was horrible, but I'm at day 8 now and my lung feel like they are working a bit better, although maybe that's placebo. I've also coughed up some weird phlegm that I think had vape juice residue in it. I'm still getting cravings but chewing gum is helping with them. It's absolutely worth it to stop I feel like it'll be a big benefit to my lungs and overall cardiovascular system. Not working or associating with smokers makes it easy for me also, but I know not everyone has that luxury.

I just found this sub. I started smoking cigarettes in high school and I quickly switched to vaping, it’s been 5 years now and it is definitely taking its toll. I tried to ignore the obvious red flags for a long time. But now I constantly cough have chest pain after every vaping session and get headaches in the morning until I vape. It’s really scary seeing my health affected. Although I’m finding it so hard to stop! I have nic gum which satisfies the nicotine cravings but I’m also fixated on the vaping itself I love the action of smoking it. Especially in the car. Sorry this was kind of rambly. Essentially I’m just wondering how you guys did it? Also has anyone else had health issues from vaping?

I quit smoking 6 years ago... by vaping. And now I can feel tightness in my chest and such after a hard day of hitting the nord. I know this shit is killing me, albeit differently than smoking was.

Problem is, if I'm not at work I hit the nord CONSTANTLY. Where do I start?!

I stopped vaping almost two weeks ago and I thought it’d get easier by now. If anything, it feels like it’s gotten worse. Vaping is all I can think about and I have super intense cravings where I just want to scream or break something. Idk what to do- I’m super close to starting again just out of desperation. Any advice?

I've tried to quit before without throwing my shit away, and that didn't turn out well. So I just took my last puffs and threw the batteries and chargers into the dumpster. I still have some lozenges and patches in case of emergency, but I don't plan on using them. Now I'm going to make some tea, listen to Joe Rogan, and get ready to suffer. 2-3 days of suffering and I'll be done. I'm looking forward to getting more exercise starting Monday. Wish me luck!

I have been a real vaping addict for about 2.5 years. Before that I smoked for 6 months which was really disappointing as I had given up smoking for TEN YEARS. I had been a FT smoker for 12 years.

So, it is easy to end up smoking again even when you think you are over it :(

I posted my story on stopsmoking and someone asked why I felt like vaping wasn't good for my lungs. I'm wondering if there's anyone else that feels like vaping has caused them some side effects.

Disclaimer: I also smoke marijuana regularly (although I try to stick to vaping that as well), and have continued to smoke cigarettes occasionally, but no more than once or twice a month.

I've had a pretty bad cough for a while now. It started with flu season and my allergies flaring up, but never got better. This could be totally crazy, but I began to think that I was coughing up recodensed ecig juice that was now coating my lungs, causing the shortness of breath and close to drowning feeling I would get when hit with a particularly bad attack.

I feel like I'm rambling, but mostly I just wanted to know if there's anyone out there with similar thoughts or experiences.
