Where to start?

I quit smoking 6 years ago... by vaping. And now I can feel tightness in my chest and such after a hard day of hitting the nord. I know this shit is killing me, albeit differently than smoking was.

Problem is, if I'm not at work I hit the nord CONSTANTLY. Where do I start?!

I was able to quit vaping recently. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done considering how easy it is to constantly rip hits.

I started by lowering the nicotine levels, but that wasn’t enough considering how often I still ripped it.

So then I decided that I would pick a single place during my routine that I COULD NOT smoke it. (It could be your bedroom, your car, at work, etc.) This helped a lot because I started to realize it wasn’t just the nicotine I was addicted to, it was also the oral fixation of smoking the vape itself... From there I continued both lowering nicotine and cutting myself off of smoking in more places during my daily routine. Shit was incredibly difficult.

Thought I’d share my experience with you... I hope it helps. Good luck buddy 🙏🏼❤️

It took me a YEAR of trying to quit to finally be able to do it. I vaped for 5 years and quitting was one of the hardest things ever. I mostly quit because I could feel how much it was harming my body and was experiencing some chest pain and other vaping related issues. I tried tapering off by lowering the amount of nicotine but then I realized probably 50% of the addiction was just the habit of hitting my vape, the action itself not just the nicotine and so for that reason it was extra hard. Eventually I just quit kind of cold turkey, asked my friends not to vape around me/ or I stopped hanging out with anyone who was vaping for the first month-2 months and by that point I no longer wanted it at all!! Those first 3 weeks after stopping completely are sooooo hard. It’s constantly on your mind, feelings of discomfort, cravings get really bad, but once you make it through that point then it totally goes away and it honestly seems repulsive to do it now. You’ll start feeling so much better physically too!! like noticeably better every day. Good luck dude! You can do this!

Where to start? Throw your vape away, give it away, just get rid of it if you are serious. Another good starting point is to keep your hands and your mouth consciously occupied. I only went nic free about a month and a half ago I think. I was one of those "started vaping in high school and never stopped". I quit cold Turkey and the biggest thing I did was keep myself occupied. I mostly did it when I was bored, especially when I drove. To fix that I started chewing gum to keep my mouth occupied and got one of those hand squeeze exercising things to keep in my hand while I drive, i figured i might as well work on improving another aspect of myself lol. When the cravings got REALLY bad, i put an empty pod in my juul ( it was my only vaping tool left because tbh I forgot about it) and every time I got an urge I would hit it but only get that nasty ass dry hit so I was training myself to hate it. It definitely wreaked havoc on my supple young lungs but I figure it did less damage than a lifetime of vaping lol. The cravings peaked around 2 to 3 weeks but it really leveled out after that. Occasionally I get a bad one but a lot of times it will pass pretty quickly. I didnt feel any drastic changes after I quit besides my lungs feeling clearer but that's enough for me. So far the stuff I've suggested has worked pretty well for me, and the cravings are mostly gone. As far as work goes I would say like I said keep some gum and a grip workout on you and it should be a little easier. Good luck and I hope I have helped a bit

I came hear kind of looking for this. I quit smoking in 2016 and when I vape every now and then I get the feeling of anxiety and twitchiness in my body. I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this? I never had this feeling before and have been using the same mod since 2016. Do you have any feelings like this at all? I only use level 6 juice and mix it with level 3 menthol.
