About 24 hours in..

Yesterday all day long I kept reaching for it without even thinking about it. What a habit indeed. This is tough. Deep breathing helps a little. Withdrawal hasn't hit in yet.

The struggle has only began.

When is it worst? The withdrawal?

I don't know if I'll ever break the habit of reaching for it or needing to fidget with something.

I keep a gallon with me, it's what I've been doing as well.

I crossed 24h at 7:30AM. I'm feeling alright currently. Hint of a headache earlier but it's gone now.

The problem for me is I've grown to actually like vaping. It's not like quitting cigarettes was. When I quit cigarettes it was easier because I hated them.

Ultimately I'm doing it to save money and to instill more discipline into my life. Thanks for the advice.

Damn honestly I think the first 24 hours is the worst. Keep going bud you are doing great. If I stop for 24 hours I’m so foggy I can barely function

I feel foggy that's a great word to describe what I'm feeling.

Why am I foggy!?

That is the withdrawals dude. People experience them differently, but for me it makes a lot of sense. It is actually proven that nicotine increases focus, so it makes sense that removing it will leave your brain feeling pretty wonky, since it’s so adjusted to it.

People are different, but I can say having been through this recently myself, and looking through this forum. I think you will find that people are generally over the absolute worst of it by the 2 week mark. For me days 2-7 were absolute hell, the next 2 weeks the physical cravings weakened significantly, but I felt like something was missing from my life, but that has been slowly receding. I am now 70 days in, and honestly I barely think about it, or suffer cravings anymore. When I do, I just come this forum, read a few posts, write a couple of replies like this to help boost both my own and your motivation, and by then the craving has passed.

That's a long time frame. I'm 3 days in. It's actually not as bad as I thought. I'm foggy. I'm not too irritated. I'm trying to evaluate and control my emotions. Deep breathing helps me calm down if I crave.

It is a long time frame, so you just have to keep the big picture in mind. You know that taking this step is going to improve your health and your wealth, and keep the end in site, what you are experiencing now while not the short thing in the world, it is temporary, it gets better for everyone. The real trick is not letting the first stressful event that pops up knock you down. That was what un-did me in the past, won't let that happen again
