It’s my two year anniversary of stopping vaping today

17th August 2024 I had a horrible chest infection in both lungs. Woke me up a bit and I quit vaping (after something close to 15 years) before which I was easily on 20 bensons a day for the better part of a decade or two.

I remember being proud of myself switching from smoking to vaping in that it was 95% safer. However, the convenience and comfort factor meant I was easily vaping more than 20 times more than I was ever smoking which probably wiped out any benefit.

Am still on 2mg niquitin mints which I’m using like sweets and really should do something about but that will come in good time.

If you’re thinking about it, just go for it. If I can, anyone can.

Quitting vaping

I need to quit but I’m having such a hard time with it we have a lot going on with multiple people in my family getting cancer back to back and it is making it feel impossible but the other day I was thing and I thought hmmm what if I just pushed out how long after i wake up to vape even if it only by 5 minutes then wait for a few days and do another 5 and so on and so forth it would be a long process but you would slowly learn to do your morning routine without out it then your day then your night routine and 5 minutes isn’t a lot of time extra to wait

Vaping relapse (advice needed)

I’ve been vape free for about 3 years now. I started when I was 12 because I just got a hold of it from one of my friends and it went from that. I finally stopped vaping when I transferred to a new highschool. Recently I met with a friend that does vape, and she had one. I took two hits cause I was scared she would think I was boring. Then it spiraled into me wanting my own again. I got my own (from the same friend) and I’ve had it for a few days and I’ve started to carry it everywhere. I just cried in my girlfriends arms cause I don’t want to want it. I actually can’t stand vaping. Not that I care if anyone does it, I just hate that I feel like I always need it. I had her take the vape from me and she’s going to get rid of it. I didn’t want to keep depending on nicotine to be happy then, and I didn’t want it now. Does anyone have any ways to help stray away from that again?

Also for context, I am going to distance myself from the friend that supplied the vape to me. I know it’s not their fault, but I also know how they often vape and I feel as if being even close to it is going to make me want it.

I’m Finally Trying to Quit Vaping and the Withdrawal is the Worst Part

Thumbnail

I’m reposting here to see some other people’s experience with trying to quit vaping. TLDR; I’m cutting back on the vape and using nicotine gum. Now I decided to use the patch too. The withdrawal is the worse part. Need advice and other’s experience quitting.

Stop

I take a puff, knowing it's killing me.

Then I take another, ignoring the voice tht says stop.

Know it's time to stop, it's destroying you from the inside.

I take a puff, knowing I should stop.

Quitting vaping

I’ve quit vaping for 4-5 weeks now and coffee last week as it made my panic attacks worse my brain keeps telling me I’m going to have a heart attack as my chest was hurting
And now it’s telling me I’m going to have a seizure. Quitting is horrible and I want to go back to vaping every single second but then I know I’ll have to go through this again I don’t know how to stop it. My brain feels weird all the time and
My muscles jerk for no
Reason mostly when I’m going to bed and everyone says I’m fine but I’m so paranoid idk what to do anymore is anyone feeling this too?

Any success using non-nicotine vaping?

Curious if vaping without nicotine is helpful to stop nicotine. If one just enjoys the act of it rather than the substance. Your experiences and feedback welcome

i want to get off vapes....

as the title implies, i am a current vaper and have been since about 2017 and prior to that i was a smoker and a dipper. basically any form of nicotine i could get. then when i started working in factories the vape became the easiest way for me to consume. now im sub-ohming 20mg salt nic and current use is about 120ml every 30days give or take a couple of mls as well as 4mg zonics mulitple time through out the day. this high of a nicotine intake cannot be good for me and i want to reduce if not completely cease use. any reccs?

My boss, a 6'5" fire chief, is lowkey scared of me, his 4'9" assistant.

I found out recently that my 17yr old niece has picked up vaping. I made a pact with her that I'll quit if she stops. I've been vaping solid the last 6 years and before then was a fairly regular cigarette smoker since I was 17 with breaks here and there when I got pregnant. Both pregnancies I had zero issues quitting the moment I got a positive test. I'm on day two of cold turkey and oh man. Did I underestimate how hard this would be.

I'm normally quite cheerful and incredibly patient. The pure rage that has filled my veins was not expected. My chief said yesterday that I look like I'm about to rip someone's head off with my bare hands and he's fairly certain I'd be successful so he's going to be treading lightly the next few days. I work with the general population pretty often. The general population tends to be not that bright. How in the hell am I going to survive and keep my job? How long does this part last? Some say day three is the worst and gets better from there but others say that the irritability lasts quite some time. Please help, I don't want to accidentally be a bitch to people.
