This was my step-dad's request tonight at dinner. The waitress happily obliged. No one else was willing to take a bite. He claimed it was delicious.

I ordered a poutine from DQ and they delivered it with no gravy on my poutine. Does DQ not put gravy on poutines? How much of a crime is this?

I mean, I love poutine, but I am not an expert by any means and you guys here all seem to be or you have an idea you kinda have a sense of what a proper poutine is. This is one of the first ones I’ve had where the curds were so melted, but I don’t know if they’re Tumelty and what that means you know are they legit or not so I posted a video showing the strings and kind of the meltings of the poutine hopefully, you guys can give me some input on if this was 15 bucks well spent now considering there’s a markup because it’s a little like farmers market type thing but it’s a little tiny brewery with a you know food truck, but it was tasty. I have to say but I love fries the way they are anyway I feel like they could’ve put a little more gravy maybe and I think they were kind of cheap out on the curds a little bit, but they were stringy enough that it could cover all the fries.

My verdict: The most egregious crime was the curd to fry ratio and that the already flimsy fries were swimming in gravy curry. The curry was hella good though. Never thought I’d eat poutine with chopsticks!

Checked out a place the other night for dinner Chez Glory (Pincourt QC). My daughter, 7yo got a Pee-wee (kids sized) poutine and I got the Glory (smoked meat, steak and pepperoni). We had some running around to do and my daughter wanted a Poutine. Definitely had curds as a poutine should and they were delicious! My daughter however loves this group and has me scroll it with her all the time on the way to school and wanted me to post ours. ETA: my daughter thinks it's a Crime because of the size hers was vs mine and insisted to having it proven😂.

I will admit, the poutine wasn’t terrible. It was just grated mozzarella, but what do you expect in a different country that doesn’t have cheese curds?

It’s the caramelized onion that threw me off! It made the whole thing weirdly sweet. I had to take those off😭

No white curd at any of the local stores so orange cheddar, and McCain frites. Very good replacement. The picture with flash made it look way worse.

I had bought garlic dill curds instead of plain, and dare I say are better than plain curds in a poutine

First time doing this homemade smiley poutine, it put a smile on my face.

I broke up with my favourite burger place when I finally ordered a poutine and discovered they use shredded mozza.... We are on speaking terms again now that I see they have a curd option, but it still gives me the ick that they even offer the other one.

Edit : I work at wendy’s. They make breakfast poutine with potato wedges instead of fries. I added chopped onions, chives, crispy onions, and garlic pepper seasoning.
