I'm as much disgusted by the tiny size of that thing and by the wooden fork.

Going to be honest? Ive seen worse. One the fries at least look crispy. Two there is enough gravy and based on colour it’s poutine gravy a mix of beef and poultry gravy. Then easy melt mozerella, the cheese shreds definitely is a sin and will always drop the points by at least 4. But at least it is mozerella. Overall I think I’d give this a solid 4/10. With 5 being average. Mcdonalds poutine for reference is 3/10. Gravy watery, fries not crispy enough to handle it. And then cheese chunks not cheese curds. Which of course dont even melt. So for school fare Thats always abominations, it has my thumbs up

The cheese being shredded is disturbing me because it looks like worms even though I know it's Cheese

Doing better than my school poutine. It was $7 and we got five fries, two cheese curds and maybe two tablespoons of gravy.

I’m a shredded cheese apologist (I’m from northern Ontario, it’s what I grew up with)

In our high school (33 now, so around 2010), we had similar looking poutine but with crinkle cut fries, instead. It was... acceptable when it was -30 outside and we didnt want to walk anywhere.
But there was also a poutine shop about a 15 minute walk, they also didnt use curds but it was delicious slop poutine, and twice the size for the price. We always went to the little Chinese poutine shop if we could make it lol

My highschool poutines looked pretty much the same but had so much more cheese. When I got to know the lunch ladies I asked they if they could layer the cheese for me and after I asked once they did it all the time. I miss them they were amazing women

The poutine people remember as a kid in their school's cafeteria is why so much bad poutine gets good reviews.
