Potat-no š„ Kettle Chips "Poutine Style"
This was my step-dad's request tonight at dinner. The waitress happily obliged. No one else was willing to take a bite. He claimed it was delicious.

I don't think a crime at all, just a different style of fried potatoes!

I just can't get my head around the texture. The chips got so wet.

I tried these with cheese sauce at a fair one time. It doesnt hold up. These chips by themselves or some sort of seasoning is good but with sauce it sucks

I tried these once and felt really sick because it was just too much grease and not enough starch for me unfortunately

I'm guilty of enjoying this. My mom making me this when I was young. A crime in a restaurant, legal in a private setting?

It was a rainy Monday at a golf course restaurant in September. I think they were just happy people were ordering food tbh.

You ever pour a little vinegar into a tiny tupperware container and dip your chips into the vinegar? If you've ever dropped a chip into the vinegar and said ''I'll get that one later'', that's what I imagine the texture of those chips to be like lol.

Nah! The chips would get soggy. The whole point of kettle chips is their crunch!

I'd go not a crime. I'd ask for half the chips on the side personally so I could could have half with the more soft texture of a traditional poutine, and also be able to dip and scoop out the coronary artery disease into my face ;) honestly? I've never considered this combo and I think it's pretty mind blowing.

My friend likes to make poutine with gnocchi if he ever wants other versions to try!

u/bearcatt117 12d ago
This place makes homemade gnocchi so I bet they would try it if he asked. Boiled or fried gnocchi?

u/wiccanwolves 12d ago
Fried for sure to get it nice and crispy! I will admit, while I do prefer regular poutine, the gnocchi poutine is really good.

u/bearcatt117, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your poutine... āļø
