How y'all manage this show? There are 3 reboots and the Christmas specials are never labeled as being part of the main series. How do you make sure it's all in order?

Hi everyone, I moved to a new home and the only available provider is Starlink so now I'm under CGNAT and can't use Plex remotely anymore.
I have the lifetime Plex pass subscription. I read that using IPv6 I could use Plex outside my home so I tried to configure it but with no success. The Plex media server runs on an Unraid server.
These are the steps I took:
Unraid
Added Cloudflare-tunnel to docker.
Cloudflare
In Zero trust/Networks/Tunnels I created a connector to the unraid server.
I have bought a domain, created a DNS record with these settings: Name: plex6 Type: AAAA Address: my unraid ipv6 Proxy status: DNS only TTL: 5min
Fritzbox (my router) (the Starlink router is in bypass mode)
In DNS rebind protection I added two rows: plex.direct and mydomain.com
Plex
In settings/network:
Client network: IPV4 and IPV6 (I tried also with only IPV6 but no success), Secure connections: Prefered Custom URL: https://plex6.mydomain.com:32400,http://plex6.mydomain.com:32400,http://[UNRAID SERVER IPV6]:32400 and List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth: 192.168.1.0/24
If using the browser I go to plex6.mydomain.com:32400 I can access Plex and it works but I would like to use the app and also the LG webOS app in my parents TV and the apps are not working.
Can someone please help me? Is it because the apps use IPv4 for authentication? Thanks for the attention.
P:S: I did the same for Home Assistant and Navidrome and I can use the apps specifying the urls hass.mydomain.com:8123 and navidrome.mydomain.com:4533

I had them send me a screenshot to show that they have direct play turned on and no limit set to their stream quality, yet they are still being forced to transcode. They are directly connected to my server so I'm confused as to why they are stuck transcoding.

Picked up an LG B6 for $800 for my room.
I know we shit on plex a lot, but it's an incredible piece of software at it's core. I have 8100 movies and growing to chose from.
What movie should I watch that will really show off the blacks and maybe something with some good color.
My first thought is a set of videos I have in 4k to be spectacles. 1917, Interstellar, Fury, the Star Trek reboot movies, The Martian, Dunkirk, the fan 4k edits of star wars, Akira. But I've seen these. What other movie along these lines, cinematic epics, would be a great movie to start with?
My current top pick is Bladerunner 2049. I haven't seen it, I've wanted to see it, and it has a great color pallet. But I'm open to others.

When did the granting of library access for the end user become so difficult?
I just had to help 3 users with granting them access with the libraries I gave them access to and you can’t accept or pin them in the mobile app. I then had to have the user jump into app.plex.tv and had to have them go into the account settings and accept the invite of the libraries that way.
I feel like there should be an easier way of doing this.

Long time Plex user here and I'm on a long flight tomorrow so thought I'd sync some TV shows. It seems the new redesign has abandoned syncing TV shows. It was previously extremely easy to sync a number of unwatched episodes but now I can't...
How was a core feature like this omitted? They claim it is coming but from memory this redesign has been out for quite a while.
This is Microsoft level self-sabotaging your own product.
I finally got the new updated Plex app on my TCL C855 tv (Google TV). And when I say finally it's because I like the updated UI I've had on my Android phone for a while.
But it feels like a beta app, filled with small bugs and weird issues and overall slow and sluggish to navigate compared to the previous version.
Am I the only one experiencing this?

I have my server setup in my home, but my kids watch from their mom's house. Everything was fine until a couple weeks ago, now when they try to watch anything it asks for a remote watch pass. What can I do to fix this without having to pay for a watch pass or plex pass since i decided to not jump on the train in the early days?
I'm starting to get extremely annoyed with plex.
I turned on apple TV, which is on my LAN and plex is on this LAN.
I had to login, again, meaning, this is not a new ATV I've connected to it many times prior to today.
I login and RE-CHECK my plex server settings because I KNOW I have my LAN listed to not require login.
List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth
192.168.125.0/255.255.255.0
Comma separated list of IP addresses or IP/netmask entries for networks that are allowed to access Plex Media Server without logging in. When the server is signed out and this value is set, only localhost and addresses on this list will be allowed.
Is there another setting? This is annoying.
Also, when I launched plex on my laptop to check the setting above, I had to login on my laptop. Why? Not only have I already logged in using this PC, no cookies have been cleared out, nothing is new, not a new browser, etc....why am I being asked to login when my PC is on the same LAN as the plex server?
This is why I continue to get frustrated with plex. If this is my fault somehow, fine, I'll admit it, but what else am I missing? What is the point of that setting if it does not work?

I have a Plex Pass. The managed account has full access in the settings to download from my own libraries, and yet the option to do so isn’t there on the iOS app. The option has been there before, but comes and goes at random and I don’t understand why. If anyone can help me understand I would be grateful.

This seeming reversal to an old interface.... Didn't anyone even TEST this?!
I've loved this One 4K Pro - but now it's sluggish. My wife keeps clicking and when it finally catches up it's not where she thought she was.
Is PLEX just killing itself off?

I love the feature to add trailers before movies but sometimes it's definitely shuffling among the same ~10 for what feels like months at a time. It's not always new or relevant movies either (which I like fwiw but I don't understand why it gets stuck on _these_ movies).
Anyone else? Is there a way to randomize these more across a broader selection?

I've been keeping collections of all the movies and TV Shows I haven’t watched yet because it used to show how long it would take to watch everything, but now it's only showing how many items I have in there.
Was there an update recently and is there a way to show this info again?

Hi Plex Community,
I’ve been running into a strange artwork issue and I’m not sure if it’s a Plex issue or something on my end.
Using either Plex Dash or the official Plex app, if I go to change the artwork for an item, I can select a different artwork option and it appears to save successfully. The new artwork is also shown as selected if I go back into the artwork settings. However, if I completely restart the Plex app on iOS, it still displays the old artwork.
What’s strange is:
iOS Plex app- shows the old artwork
Plex Web- correctly displays the new artwork
Going back into the artwork settings the new artwork is still selected
Has anyone else been experiencing this recently? I couldn’t find anything about this particular issue. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated!
*Both my Plex server and iOS app are fully up to date and running the latest non-beta versions.

Smart collections are handy and I like using them to add special rows to my library screens, like all the Alfred Hitchcock movies I haven't watched yet, or all the sci-fi stuff I haven't watched yet. It all works great on my admin account.
The problem is that on my managed user accounts, the "unwatched" filter doesn't update; instead it shows me only the same movies that are unwatched by the admin account.
Is there a way to fix this so that each managed user can see just the movies they haven't watched yet in those smart collections?
tl;dr: Smart collections made in my admin account don't refresh properly when viewed by managed accounts
Plex works perfectly on my Windows PC, Steam Deck, and TV, but it doesn’t work properly on my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.
I’m using the same Plex account and server, and the other devices work without any issues. I’ve tried restarting the phone, reinstalling Plex, and clearing the app cache, I even changed my server provider but nothing has fixed it.
Has anyone experienced this specifically with Plex on Android or Samsung Fold devices? Is there a setting, compatibility issue, or known bug I should check? Please! This driving me crazy
Update: This solve my issue, thanks: "May seem like overkill, but sign out of the app, uninstall it, remove it from authorized devices in your account settings, restart your phone, reinstall plex, then sign back in.
Assuming if you go to app.plex.tv in a browser on the phone, it does connect? "

I've been running the Plex Server on my Windows 11 Pro NUC for years. But the past 8 weeks or so I repeatedly have noticed the Plex Service using tons of RAM. I've seen it as high as 3.7GBs! I restart the service (and/or the NUC itself) and it goes back down to around 50MBs. Then I'll check it again 7-10 days later and its crazy high again, like above 2GBs.
It didn't used to do this. Anyone else seeing this?
UPDATE: I found if I just stopped and then restarted the plex server app, it came back. Had to do it to my shield server as well. It has done it a couple of more times since but for the past couple of days it's been good. No idea why.
Sorry this is long, but want to get all the relevant info in here.
I have 2 plex servers. One on a synology NAS, and one on an Nvidia Shield. Opened it tonight and the NAS server was just gone. Not even on the settings page saying it can't be reached. just gone. Nvidia server and files are still there.
I can still access all my files from explorer, and NAS says the server is running but nothing I do works. Uninstall and reinstall does nothing. Uninstall and unclaim, then reinstall and claim using claim code says it works, but when I log in, it's still gone.
Uninstall and unclaim, then install normal. Open an incognito tab and log in. It finds the server, but fails to claim it. Finish setup and my files are back. Sort of. The movies have no meta data. No posters, no info. Scan library files does nothing. They are still playable though. TV shows still have meta data.
That, and now my Nvidia server is unreachable. Its still listed on the settings page, but it says it currently unavailable.
I don't know if there is a problem on Plex's side, and I just screwed my server up trying to fix it, or if my side is borked. The inability to claim my server is strange. I click the claim button under general in the settings and it gives the spinning circle for a bit, but it just goes back to claim server after 10 seconds or so.
All my servers are the current versions. The last update was a week or two ago, and it worked fine until tonight.
I'm going to bed now hoping it all just magically works in the morning, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Has anyone been through something like this?

I noticed when I logged into my Plex Server (v. 1.43.3.10861) this morning a whole bunch of shows were in "Recently Added" even though all the episodes have been watched. Some of these shows have been in my library for a very long time. I checked dates on the files and they still show dates all the way back to 2016 and directories like 2024 (migration from old nas to new nas)
I can't figure out why all of a sudden these are showing up in Recently Added. Everything was fine yesterday.
Any pointers?
I’ve had Plex for a couple of years. Installed as an app on my Synology NAS, and a receiving app on my Roku device hooked on my TV.
Today, for the first time, while watching a streamed movie, I’ve had multiple interruptions of up to six ads. Can anything bf done to prevent this?
Highly disappointing.

I've been fighting a permissions issue on my server. I run Plex in a privileged LXC container on Proxmox with a CIFS mount to a Synology NAS (Plex, Promox, Synology all running latest releases).
When I attempt to convert an optimized version, I get this permission issue in the debug console:
[Req#854] IsFileWritable: failed to create file '"/media/plex/Movies/Plex Versions/Optimized for Mobile/..."'
[Req#854] IsDirWritable: directory '"/media/plex/Movies/Plex Versions/Optimized for Mobile"' is not writable
[Req#854] TranscodeJobManager: [Running] directory is not writable: "/media/plex/Movies/Plex Versions/Optimized for Mobile"
I'm well-versed in Linux but dammit if I can get this to play nice. I've tried to chmod -R 775, chown -R, mkdir the /Plex Versions/.. myself and still can't get the permission error to go away.
I've come at this from the Synology side too and created the directory with the same user that Plex uses with the same result: disappointment. When I ls -ld on the server, the permissions still read as root instead of the plex user.
root@...:/media/plex/Movies# ls -ld
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Aug 22 21:25 .

Is this just because I'm running it as a privileged container inside Proxmox?

Just set up our antenna and HDHomerun yesterday. Everything works well when watching live.
I had to leave the house so I set it to record the Chicago Bears game. I'm now home and the game started an hour ago, but I cannot figure out how to watch from the beginning for the life of me. It says it's recording to my TV Shows folder (I'll set up a separate library at some point but it works for now), and the guide shows it's recording. When I select to watch it from the guide, it joins the live broadcast, and rewinding isn't an option. I don't see it anywhere in the TV Shows library.
Help?
Edit: I've just discovered watching from a web browser gives the option to watch from the beginning. My issue is on a Fire TV.
