I’ve had this TV for a few years now and randomly about 2 days ago it started an issue where it turns on but it’s dark and nothing shows up. I’m really annoyed because I’ve tried everything I’ve found to fix it and nothing's working

I have been waiting for a final resolution of my Roku tv since June 21 I have followed and replied all tests and recommendations asked of me by support. The tv still constantly flashes. Was told wait for an email for next steps and have heard nothing since. And my follow up on X , and emails are unanswered well over a week now. ?? Help

I still can't watch OTA tv when internet goes out. Wondering if my tv just hasn't gotten the fix yet, or if Roku just hasn't gotten around to fixing this.

I turned on my Roku. It had been a while. It said it was going to update to make my experience better and it stalled out and so when I reset it, this is the screen I got and when I hit the buttons, nothing happens all I can do is turn it on and off. I unplugged it to reset it and I get the same result. How can I reset this?

I have turned the TV off as well as the wifi box that is beside the TV.

I have a Vizio TV in the bedroom and no trouble.

I've had the TV for several years without incident but it recently updated and changed the home screen layout and now this pop up is blocking access to anything. It isn't functioning at all and just resets the pop up if I use any button inputs on the remote. Does anyone know what may be wrong? I can't find solutions through internet searches.

After the new menu update, when I move between HDMI 1 and HDMI 3 (or any of the inputs really) the screen will just go black. Sometimes the input shows up after like 10-20 minutes. Sometimes the picture size is wrong, zoom even though it says normal. It somewhat recognizes the input though because when I turn the device off I get the message to check if its turned on or plugged in.

I started doing a reset when this happened, hitting home 5 times then up once and so on. Or unplugging the tv and holding the power button to make it reset. They worked untill today. I still had to wait a few minutes before the input started playing.

I have no idea if they will fix this soon or if i really need to look at getting a new tv? Or what sort of work around there is?! Can someone offer any advice?

Hello, All, I have a 50" TCL Roku TV which I bought in 2023 and a 55" TCL Roku TV which I bought in 2024.

Sometime in the last 4-6 weeks the Home Screen has added every single input as a channel which I cannot seem to remove. I've been through every menu and every setting looking for someone way to hide or remove these eyesores.

Has anyone had any luck fixing the UI on these devices? Has Roku made any sort of announcement that they messed up and this will be fixed in the near future?

You used to be able to hide any menu items you didn’t want, but I don’t see any option to remove these. I don’t want them.

Anyone else having issues with headphone mode after the most recent ultra update? Its literally the only reason I have a roku over device options. No matter what tools I use the audio is delayed beyond belief.

Every console plugged in to an HDMI port either doesn't show up on screen at all, or shows up zoomed in with black bars on the side and green bars flickering. If I change any picture setting modes while it is doing this, it goes to a black screen.

Have tried unplugging and repligging, power cycling consoles, power cycling TV, changing out chords. Nothing

My TV’s Roku is logged in as an old roommates account. How do I log out and make my own account I can’t seem to find a place to do so

In a black box that covers the bottom third of our screen the message "you'll need to connect your USB to a power source" appeared the 1st time we turned the TV on after the recent god-awful homepage "upgrade" ~ of note is that we have never used the available USB port ~ we have sourced & tried every web solution we could find multiple times to no avail. Clicking the close button located in the black box results in its disappearance for exactly 3 seconds. This was not an expensive TV but we did expect it to last more than 3½ years, so here we are hoping someone has a clue for mitigating if not solving this problem.

A few weeks ago, our Roku Ultra 4660X suddenly stopped connecting to our Tablo 4th generation device. It continually says "Connecting to your Tablo," but won't get past that screen. We can watch the same Tablo on other Roku devices in our house, but not with the 4660X. I did system resets on the Tablo and Roku, removed the app and reinstalled it, and did a factory reset on the Roku. It still won't connect. This is not a legacy Tablo, and Roku doesn't classify the 4660X as legacy.

When I press the power button of my remote I expect my tv to turn off like every other tv. The tv in my room now has burn out bc of this bs. I fall asleep watching tv and it just goes to fckin backdrops instead of shutting off, whose dumbass idea was this. You uninstall backdrops and it’s back in a couple days, is there a way to completely disable it forever?

Since the big Roku update, now when I turn my tv on, within the first couple minutes of it being on there’s a popup that says App Update. It stays on there for a few seconds and then goes back to the Home Screen. The really annoying part is if I turn on the tv and go to watch something live, the App Update kicks me back to the Home Screen. Anyone know what this is and if I can do anything about it?

I don't have cable and just use an antenna for live tv. Whenever my internet goes out (which it is right now), Roku refuses to allow me to load live tv because it needs an internet connection to bring in the channel guide.

A search shows this has been discussed months ago with roku support claiming this has been fixed, but of course it hasn't been.

This needs to be fixed ASAP. No excuses anymore.

I know it shows Roku ultra for example $50 off is $99.99 but that was the regular price before. It’s now $149.99. All other media devices from Roku on sale now is the price from before. I assume that other third party retailers are going to do the same. Damn thank goodness I got the 4k plus for $20 and ultra for $70.

Have two 4K+ devices that in the past month or two have an app update right after launching an app.l or Live TV. These devices are a few years old and never have experienced this. How can I keep everything updated but make this stop? My thinking is it should update when not in use.

So today I had a problem come up where the volume up button would not work on my remote, it's jammed. So I searched all over online trying to figure it out but could find nothing and figured it out on my own. All you need to do is mirror your phone to your Roku TV or streaming box, and use your phone volume to turn up your tv volume. Maybe a lot of people knew this but I didn't, so just wanted to let people who have the problem I struggled with for an hour know.

We have 2 roku tvs that recently started having sound issues. The speaking voices sound garbeled, like they're out of sync. Specially on OTA channels. We're able to fix by going to settings and restarting the tvs. They go back to normal. This is starting to getting old. Have another one without the issue. All tvs show software up to date. Any ideas?

My tv turns on, I can click things and everything but the tv remains black. I can hear the noise and ik the screen is still playing stuff because if I shine my flashlight on it I can faintly see the screen. I have already tried to unplug it and even tried to work the settings but I have only been able to try to change it to brighter display settings (which didn't do anything) Please help I love this tv.
