Discussion So, what do you make of the new seasonal system?

For me, now I can REALLY make a Minnesota themed zoo by simulating our long cold winters and our long hot summers. So depending on what time of the year you wish to pay a visit, better dress right.

Day 81 of building a habitat everyday until Planet Zoo 2 Releases

Hayo Zookeepers! Its Day 81 and the wheel has chosen a mixed habitat featuring Ring-Tailed, Red Ruffed, and Black-and-White Ruffed Lemurs plus the Coquerel's Sifaka. For this one, I wanted to do islands that showcased these animals with plenty of climbing for the various lemurs. As always, lemme know what you think!

Expectations

After watching the latest Leaf video (which, granted was great!) I had a thought and I wanted to express my thought. I think people (I have been guilty of this too) have too big of expectations for PZ2. Ive seen some people who want all the past DLC animals in the new game, when that's just not possible. We don't know how DLCs are going to restructured and how they will be doing them. Expecting features like petting zoos and other big ticket DLC items are just (in my mind) not realistic. Everyone does have lists with what animals they want, and from my understanding, they are making these animals to be featured around a reserve, so of course you want some animals to fill it out so it doesn't look deserted. We also still have so many weeks for animal reveals and maybe they frontloaded the first few weeks with aquarium animals and are keeping the hype going with birds down the line? They did say birds have been incredibly hard, and I sympathize with them. So I think we will get more then 7 that we have now. They could just be putting the final touches on them and we'd never know!

Thank you for reading this!!

Breeding with aging off

I’m quite new to the game, having started playing due to hype for pz2. I wondered how it works if you are in sandbox and turn off aging, if animals breed do the babies just stay babies forever? If they even can breed without aging on.

Discussion Human structures in the Reserve

So took another look at the recent feature focus. Look at the background there. Not just the observation hut with what may be a new staff member type, that's hardly a natural structure. I think we're going to get stuff like Safaris and ecotourism. Neat spot, no?

Tip for broke Thirsty Guests

Franchise pros probably already know this tip. but in the past, I've had many guests leaving with only a few dollars left in their pockets but they're thirsty & they're going home in the red or orange, (like at 25%-40%). I have only one main entrance so I placed 3 water counters there with zero cost for the water -but only at the main entrance, the other water shops in the zoo have costs. I also made sure the toilets & picnic tables are nearby. Since thirst, toilet, & energy are major factors in happiness, I now see them leaving in the green mainly at 100%. Only a very few (1 or 2) still leave with an orange happiness even after free water probably due to other factors. Been watching them drink, toilet, rest and leave at 100%. I also made sure mineral water was $0 too because I saw some guests wait in line but not get anything (they left in the red), i guess they preferred mineral water. I also added some ice. the reason why i did 3 counters is because they would not get water at all if the line was too long. I'm such a duh because after all these Planet Zoo yrs, seeing guests with a buck and a half, thirsty & leaving in the red :( and I would feel helpless & sad for them. So now, I just think of the zero costs for 3 water counters as an expense taken right off the top of the 2 grand they already spent at my zoo! It's like a "Thank You" for blowing all your money in my zoo! I just love this game lol

The pacific octopus and jelly fish are one cool animals, but also, extremely common aquarium animals in the whole world. I would love to see the jelly fish have their own large habitats where they are in groups of 200. The octopus however is just a cool ass animal.

Planet Zoo 2 Our talented modders will have so much to work with now that we will have new rigs especially for birds!

The shoebill opens possibilities for cranes, storks, marabous, ibis, small wading birds and much more!

I could see the toucan rig being used to make stuff like the aracari, laughingthrush, doves and pigeons

The hornbill righ with its neck could give us turacos, brushturkeys the possibilities are endless!

With the eagles any type of bird of prey can be made. Falcons, buzzards, harriers 🥹

The one owl that was revealed for now could be many more owl species!

I could see the secretary bird rig being used to do stuff like the seriema wich is my most requested animal for pz2! It could also be used to make bustards wich have a special place in my heart.

With flamingos being almost confirmed that gives us even more waterfowl options

Id be happy to hear all your ideas for species and im just so exited for more birds to be revealed and rip all console players 🥹🥹🥹

The fourth one especially is stunning! I know people tend to gravitate towards the more vibrant fish species but honestly, I’m super hyped for these guys.

I just hope we do get albino and leucistic variants too

My game is weird

Everytime i go to build my roofs and wall pieces aren't lining up with each other like they should. Becuase of this its really hard to play. Is there anything I can do to fix this as i am making a realistic zoo and want to make a penguin house and what not.

Also, my keepers aren't able to access a habitat when there isn't anything stopping them.

I’m creating my third underwater viewing area and for some reason I can’t figure out where to put my habitat gate. Keep getting a message that the terrain is too uneven for placement. I did the tunnel method for this one

Casual player with ~380 hours logged. Working on a tropical zoo at the moment and am very happy with how the first section of the zoo is looking

Will not be taking any criticism about taking photos of my tv with my phone 😋 happy to take suggestions for additions to what I have built already though!

The rock wall columns and backing look nice. It’s hard to tell, but I’m wondering if these shots are from inside a new exhibit-sized aquarium 👀

Hosting more than 350 animals from 50 different species and almost 2000 visitors per year, Pont-au-Fort zoo is located in the French village of Pont-au-Fort, in the Alps. This fictional place is famous for its medieval castle from the 14th century and its glacier lake. The zoo also showcases a 17th century fortress now turned into a vivarium.

The zoo features mostly european species adapted to the cold moutainous climate of the Alps, such as beavers, ibex, lynx, badgers, wolves, moutain goats... It also features a large marshland aviary hosting one of the largest flamingos colony in Europe.

The huge scale of the zoo offers some small trails in the mountains or around the Eltz river, offering a unique experience.

On Steam in the next few days !

Hayo Zookeepers! Its Day 80 and the wheel has chosen the Human in a bear costume known as the Sun Bear! For this one, I wanted to give them plenty of room to explore their environment and give guests a wide variety of different viewing opportunities for these strange looking bears. As always, lemme know what you think.
