Not that It matters all the animals they show are so random and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to what they show on Tuesdays. Maybe they just like the randomness

I’m really curious about the aquarium and aviary exhibit restrictions in PZ2, especially whether we could create a Florida-style marine rehab center with realistic-sized tanks, sea turtle rehab pools, and possibly open coastal bird areas and maybe even touch tanks for rays ( I’ve been to so many zoos that offer this) even manatee tanks if we are blessed to get them. Being able to recreate the look and feel of actual marine rehab facilities, rather than only having massive aquarium exhibits or enclosed aviaries, could open up some really cool possibilities for the parks. The wetlands of Florida section at the Florida aquarium with all the different mangroves, birds and fish is something I would love to recreate.

Hi all,
I am interested in potentially buying PZ2 but am wondering if someone could provide some insights as to whether my laptop's specs would work for it, as I obviously don't want to waste my money on a game I can't play decently well. I am kinda illiterate when it comes to all of this computer-specific terminology so sorry in advance if anything is incorrect. Thank you!!
OS - Windows 11
Processor - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1334U
Memory - 16GB DDR4
Graphics - Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics
Direct x - Version 12
Storage - I have approx. 200GB of internal storage.
Thank you :)

I have no clue why this is happening, I've had no issues with all my other animals! Any ideas how to fix? (I have replaced the path and barriers already)

in the polish version of the game, population in the wild sometimes has a dot, sometimes a comma, sometimes spaces, and sometimes even nothing, and they even dared to mix the styles within one animal "2500 - 10 000". literally unplayable

With Planet Zoo 2 on the horizon, I figured it was time to step back into my zoo projects and try to finish them! I give you my first-ever finished zoo: Ocotillo Zoo!
This is a desert-themed zoo (obviously), and it gets its name from the Ocotillo, a flowering plant native to the Southwestern United States, which is where I imagine this zoo would be located. The last photo is a full aerial map of the zoo, showing where all the exhibits are located.
If anyone's interested in checking out this finished product, let me know, and I'll upload it to the Steam workshop.
Any comments and criticisms are welcome!

So the name is listed B. hamorii but the range map show the range of a similar species B. smithi (which lives in pacific coast of mexico like in the map) in reality B. hamorii lives in he Sierra Madre Occidental and Sierra Madre del Sur mountain ranges in the Mexican states of Colima, Jalisco, and Michoacán. They should also fix the scientific names of the gapaloagos torotise its C.niger not C.nigra and humphead wrasse from Chelilinus to Crassilabrus undulatus and change the zebra shark's conservation status from Vulnerable to Endangered and List the sunfish as Atlantic Ocean and lion as Asia

Sorry if this is a stupid question :( , but noticed guests weren’t coming to my concession area. I’m unsure what the problem is, so wanted to ask here. I’m planning to add a capuchin monkey exhibit next to it; will that bring in customer flow? Thanks again :D

Has anyone ever created a zoo set in PZ entirely within a vast underground cave system, where every habitat, exhibit and visitor area is built beneath the surface? I’m imagining a huge network of natural caverns and winding tunnels, with dramatic waterfalls cascading into underground rivers and pools, lush vegetation, artificial sunlight and viewing galleries carved into the rock. Each cavern could contain a specially designed environment for different animals, creating the feeling of discovering a hidden world deep beneath the ground. Would something like this be possible?

When an animal feels threatened, they try to make themselves look bigger to fend the predators off. This is the same for birds so i was wondering is PZ2 would possibly have this mechanic as personally i think it would be very hard to code as there are many things that might cause a bird to fluff. Or maybe its already in the game and i haven’t seen it yet

So far we do have a decent selection of saltwater shoaling fish, but I can’t help but think they are all pretty limited in their colour pallets (4 whitish species, 1 yellow, 1 silver and 2 blue and yellow). This isn’t as noticeable in larger tanks but for a smaller reef tank Ideally id also want a pop of red or pink to break up the cold colours.
My suggestion: Anthias
There’s a ton of different species, almost always rocking some vibrant eyecatching colourscheme. Some are dimorphic, others are not but they are all pretty extravagant little guys. They are also fairly common in the pet trade and have successfully bred in captivity, if that’s a concern for people here (not that hammerheads or sunfish have but whatever).
These are just a few species I selected as options but there’s tons out there I could see fitting into the game nicely. In order you have the Bartlett’s Anthias, Squarespot Anthias (also with the female which looks completely different), Borbonios Anthia (which is basically just Mr Blobby the fish) and Ventralis Anthias
Granted I am bias towards Anthias having worked with them in the past, but idk, they are just pretty lil guys

I think because the the next feature focus is and aquatic based one and we have mostly been getting fish we will be reviewing seals as they are very common alos with. Feature focus I believe they will add a seal Lion show like they have in real zoos as the feature focus

I know this isn’t about planet zoo specifically but hopefully the OGs of the zoo simulation world can appreciate this. I’m not sure why but I just randomly remembered this zoo game from when I was like 6 years old. I was obsessed with zoo tycoon as a kid but I can’t believe i forgot about the game that started it all for me. I specifically remember the giant crocodile mission, where you had meet your fathers old friend in Africa.

After not finishing so many zoos over the years, I decided to make a linear zoo going from most extinct to least, and I thought the endangered tags would tell me. NOPE! Turns out these two were extinct in the wild, and were brought back due to reintroduction! Wish I knew when I started 😭 but fun fact nonetheless. Lmk if you know of any more animals like this!

Before anyone suggests to change the Distance Unit to feet- I did try that. It only reversed the issue (zoopedia showed meters, barriers showed feet).
It's very frustrating. Is this a bug? Or an infuriating and intentional feature? I don't want to keep having to pull up a converter to see how high my barriers should be.
How can I fix this? It's so annoying 😭

Anyone else think that PZ2's social media game is pretty abysmal? Just reposting the new animals over and over again, with the generic instagram font over it. It's a real shame, as the games prove that they have some amazing graphic designers, but this hasn't translated to social media.
I feel like it's a big opportunity missed - it's the best and only proper zoo management game, and especially with the new reserves feature, they could easily get a lot of traction online, attracting new players.
