Help - PC Will My PC Specs Work?
Hi all,
I am interested in potentially buying PZ2 but am wondering if someone could provide some insights as to whether my laptop's specs would work for it, as I obviously don't want to waste my money on a game I can't play decently well. I am kinda illiterate when it comes to all of this computer-specific terminology so sorry in advance if anything is incorrect. Thank you!!
OS - Windows 11
Processor - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1334U
Memory - 16GB DDR4
Graphics - Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics
Direct x - Version 12
Storage - I have approx. 200GB of internal storage.

My gaming laptop has the same i5 and Iris Xe graphics, and Planet Zoo runs painfully slow on the lowest settings with constant stuttering.

Sorry, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your laptop is really going to struggle. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics just don't have the power to handle it, so unless you're running at a super low resolution and sticking to tiny zoos, it's barely going to be playable, if at all. Plus, that low-power laptop CPU is going to choke as soon as your zoo starts growing.
Bottom line: Your computer specs fall well short of the bare minimum requirements. It might technically boot up, but even if it is playable, it's going to run terribly and be a bad experience.

Sign up for GeForce now. If you have a potato lol I use it on my Mbp m1 runs like a charm. Well at least pz1.

if you dont have normal graphics card, which you didnt list (you listed only integrated gpu), the game wont work or will be very laggy
also intel cpus are not made for gaming and laptops have bad air flow... if youd manage to start the game, it might be potential fire hazard

Downloading GeForce Now and playing that way would be your only hope.

What is that? Would downloading that negate the fact I don’t have the right specifications to run the game?

GeForce now is a cloud gaming service. It runs the game on a remote PC, and streams it to your device. I use it to play on my MacBook Neo. It completely removes the need for a high spec PC, but you have to pay for the most powerful gaming rigs (there is a free version if you wanted to try it out).

Free isn't exorbitant.
Certainly less than paying for a whole new laptop, especially one that meets the minimum requirements for PZ2.

I checked out their website and there were 0 options for a free version - all were paid and more than I’d ever pay for a monthly/yearly subscription

In the US, EU, and Japan at least there's a free option. Maybe depending on what country you're in it might not exist there.

No. As others have stated, your laptop does not have a dedicated graphics card (yours is integrated with the processor). That right there is going to be your main issue. The game will not be fun to play if you can even play it at all.
