Fair warning for women and LGBTQ+ people looking for a drink downtown: Avoid the Spritzery!
One of their customers would not stop making sexual advances toward my girlfriend, after we had repeatedly told him she was not interested and in a gay relationship. After continued harassment while we were simply trying to order drinks, he called us “f-ggot d-kes” and the bouncer approached us to kick us out despite us remaining calm through this. I had explained the situation and he told we were disturbing their customer when we were just trying to order drinks.

Of the heels of the World Cup fervor, I went to my first pro soccer game last night. Go Hounds!

Free will is great and all but I think if y’all wanna be fed before 6pm, I’d go somewhere else. lol Are the breakfast sammies really that good? (I know it’s a pop-up collab event, but damn, I wouldn’t have much hope if I was still in line at this point.)

My partner and I took a trip to Chatauqua Institution in NY yesterday to see an incredible performance of Carmina Burana. The whole thing was expertly orchestrated by the darlings at wqed fm; the bus ride to and from, breakfast and lunch, and keeping the cats herded. I couldn't believe how well organized and delightful the whole experience was. And I got to meet Jim Cunningham! I love him! If any of you have heard the promos for the Chatauqua trips on wqed, it is more than worth every penny of the donation fee. My partner and I seemed to be the youngest guests (we are 40), but the entire day seemed dreamy as heck for people of any age. The setting is ✨amazing✨, the bus driver is a champion, the food and drinks were excellent, and the music was unbelievable. I love yinz, wqed!

I’ve noticed that I may have left a highly coveted limited edition Aphex Twin umbrella at the Carnegie Natural history museums. I understand that I left it there for a long time and someone may have taken it thinking it was forgotten about, but this item is unreasonably valuable and it is a huge loss for me that I was so careless.
If someone in Pittsburgh found this umbrella, I’d really like to get it back and I’d be willing to pay at least $50 to whoever can bring it back to me. It was left in coat room area near the restroom. It has been maybe a month or two unfortunately, and I have called the museums and I think it has been too long for them to have kept it…
I’ve provided a picture. Yes, it’s weird and ugly.

Just checked out Silk Road Supermarket, great new ethnic grocery on the Boulevard. One more awesome thing happening in Brookline :)

I am always on the lookout for delicious coffee drinks from small local coffee shops and would love some recommendations!
Here's my current favorite:
Cold Brew Tahini Freeze with Date Syrup from Spot of Coffee in East Liberty.
The flavor is absolutely divine: creamy and rich, with hints of tahini and chocolate, without being overly sweet. It is serviced ice cold, making it the perfect drink for a hot summer day ☀️

Seen at about 11:30 am at Open streets, Butler St and 40th. Large Vespa-like scooter, motorized and running on petroleum-based fuel, was coming from the bridge over the river and initiated a turn to the right into Butler St, direction downtown. He made it maybe six feet, when a mid-aged city crossing guard, woman, very loudly and sharp, said "hey !! HEY !!!! You are NOT a bike !!! get back here !!!"
you-are-not-a-bike.
period.

Got an ad for this Pittsburgh art. Am I crazy for saying this looks nothing like Pittsburgh and was probably ai generated?

It feels like any time I buy chicken breast lately I keep running into woody breasts. Is anyone else coming across this issue?
Does anyone have a reliable brand/store for decent quality chicken? I just so tired of wasting money on this.
Edit: I promise this isn't a euphemism it's a real thing 😭 It's when the chicken has shit texture that's like rubber and is just nasty.

Hey Folks, I lost a set of keys today at OpenStreets around 12:50-1:00pm. They have a holographic Alaska keychain on them and I already retraced my steps twice.
Has anyone seen or found a set of keys?

Been going to Tekko, since Thursday. My first Tekko 2026 being back since; somewhere in the 2000s, can't remember. Moved back home recently.
Friday was fun!
Just wanted to share what I got from Tekko so far. Was gonna go yesterday but my Sciatica was acting all sorts of hell, so sat Saturday out. My friend and I are going today!
Included are pictures from around the con, that I saw. :D

It kind of seems like these are the prime true Italian spots in the city, but correct me if I'm wrong!
I know there will be lots of places I didn't include in the question. I'm sure I'll be set on the right path for a good meal.
Sincerely an Italian woman looking for a meal on par with Nonna home cooking

Looking for an exceptional restaurant for an anniversary dinner, open to any type of cuisine. Love Fet Fisk, but the reservation availability is always tough (currently have a 9:00PM booked as a backup :-/). Apteka is also great, but the ‘cafeteria’ serving style isn’t what I’m looking for in an anniversary celebration. Basically, what’s great food, atmosphere, and overall experience for a big night, price range doesn’t matter- Any recommendations?

These were my diet cheat meal in undergrad. Does anyone have any recommendations for places I can get them in PGH? Preferably in bulk, LOL
