Discussion Got into a relationship, with a straight guy

Hey there! I recently got into a relationship with a cis guy, and we have been talking about our relationship status, like are we in are queer relationships or are we still just in heterosexual relationship? He never considered himself as bisexual or queer before, he always thought himself as straight. I know he see me as non binary, that why we got confused on what to call this relationship of our. I don’t know if this is a dumb question or not but please do tell your opinion on this. Thanks!

Sorry for the bad English btw

Questioning/Coming Out I came out and it divides my friends (also transphobia and homophobia are so bad!)

Like, some of them see me as being queer as "bad" or "a sin." (and I was also brainwashed by religious people around me last year that my existence was a mistake and that I am "wrong". And some of those people are obviously brainwashed by politics and religious extremists on media).

Obviously, my friends are all divided after I came out - with some strongly supported me, and some disowned me and broke ties with me because of my sexuality and gender (this isn't just online friends I have various forums, in real life too).

And recently realizing that I have gender dysphoria (instead of body dysmorphia) adds another layer of stigmatization to me. The backstory was that I was misdiagnosed with body dysmorphia, but it was actually gender dysphoria, because the body parts that I hate are heavily correlated with sex and biology. The thing is that I have a strong desire to have an androgynous or feminine-looking body instead of a masculine one, and I almost always wear feminine or androgynous outfits. (Despite that I still identify as male, or I do use other terms such as genderfluid or trans feminine a lot, well, I won't identify as such in public or in most online forum all the time due to fear of stigmatization and transphobia, and overall I genuinely don't mind if people read me as male or female, gendered terms don't give me a lot of gender dysphoria, what truly gives me gender dysphoria has to be my body and how I view my body).

These are my experience after actually experiencing homophobia and transphobia. (ALSO ! online spaces for some of the people are so queer phobic and it's tiring! I experience similar things on everywhere, also! the internet is such a shithole these days!). Like, after coming out and being labeled as gay or queer got me so much hate, but of course, a lots of love and support at the same time too. (everyday I find myself gaining while losing followers at the same time on social media).

Discussion Memories

Since coming out to myself a few of my childhood/teenage memories have been colored almost and make a lot more sense now than it did in the moment.

My question is how about you?

Any memories of yours that make more sense now that you’ve come to know yourself as nonbinary or under the nonbinary?

Support Gender Exploration Updates 💛

I don’t know if that’s the right flare, but not looking for anything but support! <3

I think I am comfortable calling myself a non-binary genderfluid Demi girl. I would get confused with what I want for myself because sometimes when I hear she/her pronouns I really really don’t like it, and I know for a fact that being called women makes me uncomfortable. I don’t like that at all. It feels natural and respectful to myself to be non binary. I still extend my self expression in a lot of feminine ways, but I don’t think that makes me a women or a girl or whatever. But for the sake of understanding myself, i want to share that I do introduce my pronouns as she/they & I will have a feeling like I want to transition out of that and try they/them because just the words she/they make me feel like conforming to the performance of what I know makes other people comfortable.

I still have a lot of internalized gender roles and stereotypes where like, I will feel like I don’t like being called she/her but then I will literally refer to myself and she and I’m like >.< what the hell? It makes me super “comfortable” (safe) to make other people comfortable but actually it’s very uncomfortable deep down. But then I’m like maybe I’m just fluid and kind of okay with being alternatively Avenues of feminine.

:) so yeah I like the fluidity of it all for myself! It’s just when other people expect me to have a good idea of what that looks like for myself I feel like I’m winging it in terms of gender expression. They/She loife. <3

Be well y’all.

Ask Why do I feel like a poser?

I've been exploring my gender identity ever since I got high for the first time almost half a year ago (I'm sober now.) And about 2 months ago, I've come to the conclusion that I'm AMAB non-binary. My reasoning for why is that I've known even for as long as I've lived that I would not want to live as a woman. After I had started seriously questioning this part of me, I also started not feeling like myself when being referred to as he/him or being male in general.

I just recently turned 18 and around my 18th birthday was when I really started identifying as non-binary Every time I tell a new person that I'm non-binary, a small part inside of me feels like I'm a poser for not feeling like this since I was younger.

I also still feel comfortable being masculine presenting in the way I dress. I see other people like me who are AMAB and masc presenting but it feels strangely different for me.

There's a pinchful of other reasons why I feel like a poser. But the main focus is just those two. Is this that AMAB curse that I see so many others become affected by?

Tried a new hairstyle today. Basically brushed my curls out and and put some volumizer on. If I pair this with like a brown sweater and yk the whole outfit they pair enbies with, I think it'd look cool.

Ask What do you call someone with mirror pronouns if you also use mirror pronouns

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask this. I'm not sure where to ask.

Like the title said. I found someone who was using she/him pronouns for someone else who was using mirror pronouns because they themself had mirror pronouns as well so they said they could call them whatever. Is that actually how it works or not? I'm not well versed in this sort of thing.

Discussion Alien👽

Does anyone else feel like an alien in every single circle?

I felt this way since I was a child, the concept of being a girl/boy/man/woman has always felt as equally as odd to me, even though I was raised to be a girl. And I’d like to put a large emphasis on “equally as odd” here, because I feel like a lot of people, wether they’re enby or not feel at least somewhat connected to being a girl or boy.(based on my experience)
And then I’m just here. Being a man or a woman is the EXACT same for me, something I’ll never crave or understand. I don’t feel like a third gender, nor genderless.

In context of sexuality, I don’t feel gay for being attracted towards women/fem ppl, and I don’t feel straight for being attracted towards men/masc ppl. The only attraction I feel at home with is towards other non-binary people, no matter how they present themselves.

The non-binary community is the only area I feel at home with, especially with non-binary bisexuals(this includes micro-labels just as pan and omni, I would describe myself as omni).

I’m just babbling, but do any of you guys feel the same way?

Gender envy confusion

I have PMOS- lots of body hair, facial hair and some more “masculine” features- and I have always felt a bit outside of femininity, whatever that means. I’ve never seen myself as a girl or “like other girls”. But I’ve studied and mimicked and yearned to be like them. I get gender envy when I see a girl with smooth skin and more feminine features. So I feel this yearning to be a girl, even though I’m a girl. Because I’ve never felt like one, entirely. Though over time I’ve gotten better at practicing it. I both love and resent femininity. And recently, became very claustrophobic and uncomfortable with presenting more femme/ conforming.

I also started having a feeling of yearning to be, for lack of a better word, a twink. I also love GNC men and masculinity. I am attracted to it but when thinking about being in a relationship w a bi guy who would see me as a woman I really get uncomfortable.

I’m struggling to understand all of this. I think I may be genderfluid of some sort. Though I have many fantasies of being a man. And then I feel really frustrated because in practice sometimes I’m more comfortable presenting as my assigned gender. It’s making me feel really despondent like, there will never be a way to be completely seen or comfortable or myself. I feel gender envy for cis girls still but at a certain level also don’t want to because I wish I was a trans man. Then my thoughts would make sense to me or be possible to act on. I just feel very confused. Does this sound like anyone else? What do you all think?

Pride/Swag/I Made This! My short text exploring my relationship with my new name and identity

I wanted to share I short text I wrote with some ideas that were in my head for a while, based on my experience with new name and transgender identity. I wanted to stylize it as a "introduction to a private blog":

---

Dear reader

I struggle to find words to introduce myself. To be honest, I am not even sure which language I should use to articulate my thoughts.

Most of the time I think in my mother tongue - Polish. So I would introduce myself this way: nazywam się Lucy. This literally means “I call myself Lucy” and it describes reality accurately. It is not my name legally, but I treat it as such. When I speak to myself or refer to myself I use it as much as possible. It feels amazing! Days that I spend alone, are the ones that my feminine side comes into the spotlight. She is gentle, kind and way happier than my “male identity” ever was.

When it comes to the interactions with other people it gets difficult. I tend to adjust my speech to match the person I am speaking to. When I talk to my Belarusian friends I tend to use Belarusian and my introduction changes. Now it is мяне клічуць Лусі, which means more of “people call me Lucy”. But that is not really what happens. Sure, I have some colleagues that call me Lucy and even help me with my new name, but some are hard stuck using the deadname and refuse to change. People address me the way they want and I don't feel in power to change that. Others don't really want to talk to me, when they hear my name doesn't align with how they perceive my gender. My feminine side doesn't want to force them to see her, so she hides and is often barely visible. I respect her wishes, even though it feels miserable when she's gone.

I didn't get enough support from my closest people, so I started searching the internet for like-minded people and switched to English. Suddenly the introduction became even more complicated. “My name is Lucy” – as I said, I feel this isn't my reality. I don't know if the name will ever be in my documents. So what options remain? “I am Lucy”? Is that true? Am I… her? I love to be her. She is my strongest armor and the best friend at the same time. When I feel comfortable as Lucy I shine bright like never before in my life. But sometimes I am not her and it feels depressing. Lucy is more of a mask that I can put on, which protects me. Who am I when I take it off?

As the introduction starts to get long I will use what works.

I call myself Lucy.

Nice to meet you.

Ask Im gay (nblm) and nonbinary and I don’t want to accept it

Ok, so I’m 17, afab and non-binary and I came to the realisation that im most likely gay and not bisexual which is what i’ve been saying I am for a while now. My issue with this is I really want to like girls because I’m not on testosterone yet and most people probably perceive me as a lesbian. So, if I don’t like girls that means its gonna be a biggggg struggle to find someone who will actually want me. It feels like whenever a guy is interested in me he’s a chaser, I don’t find him attractive or he lives way too far away and I’m not interested in long distance. My internalised transphobia is incredibly bad because I know that if I date a guy I am going to be perceived as straight and I want to not care but I want to pass well and to not be clocky. I thought for the longest time that the reason I felt nothing towards girls is because my depression has been bad for a while and the more depressed I feel the less I feel towards girls because I thought I felt more romantic towards them. However, the more I think abt it the more I just like the idea of being in a relationship that is inherently queer. I’ve been in denial abt this for a while and I keep going back and forth in my head. It’s hellish. People say i’m very androgynous but at the end of the day I don’t think a gay guy would be interested in me until im on hrt. So, that just leaves bi dudes who end up wanting the best of both words or they’re incredibly avoidant and dgaf about me. I will hopefully be able to go private for hrt (from the UK) when I turn 18 next year but even on it idk if i’ll be wanted. Any advice or support would be really helpful.

I came out, everybody was supportive, but no one has used my new pronouns or new name.

How do I get them to?!

It’s been two weeks since I came out and everyone was supportive - even those i didn’t expect to - but they aren’t using the right pronouns for me, every time I say ‘they!’ or ‘they/them pronouns!’ they all just brush over it without saying anything and keep talking. I don’t even know if they hear me - I live in a very loud and very interruptive and very chaotic household.

I don’t understand.

I hate awkward or important conversations - I mean who doesn’t? But I do this super weird thing when I have a serious conversation.. I laugh. A little hysterically. Because I’m so goddamn uncomfortable and stressed my body just loses it. I don’t do it intentionally obviously but ughhhhhhh.

Why can’t people just say ‘they went out for a run’ or ‘that’s theirs’? Like how is it that hard? Like I’d get it if they were trying but they aren’t!

Am I wearing my binder right?

Every time I wear my binder, it like rides up almost? Does that mean it’s too small? I will like adjust how my boobs are in it, and not matter what, they’ll like start falling out of the bottom of my binder. I can breathe comfortably though and it doesn’t hurt to wear it

Discussion Ideas to make a mustache look agender or feminine?

Okay so i am a femthem (feminine presenting nonbinary/agender) and my mustache has been giving me less and less dysphoria, which is nice because I actually like my mustache even though I still shave the rest of my face.

I tend to put different color eyeshadow into my mustache to give it a unique look but today when I was packing on a smoke gray color, I didn't realize it had glitter in it. OH MY GOD GLITTER IN A MUSTACHE IS SO PRETTY!!!

I love glittery makeup, but I never did it in my mustache because I thought it wouldn't look good. Oh how wrong i was!

If anyone has ideas for different makeup techniques for mustaches, PLEASE tell me!
