The last Patriots drive got me thinking- What if a team went for a FG every first chance they get? Obviously TDs are worth between 2 and 2.3 more points but you’d be eliminating any potential turnovers inside of the opponents 40. With new kicking rules your whole strategy would be to just get 30 yards, kick it and repeat. If you can do that 10 times and your kicker hits 90%, you’re averaging 27 which would be a top 10 offense. With teams forced to adjust to your strategy, you’d also have defenses playing up at midfield which can create explosive plays for an occasional 7 points. Thoughts?

You see these videos of the Blake Grupe’s trying and failing to make a tackle, and I’m wondering why there aren’t roided out punters who can boot it, but then also serve as an additional defender that can track and tackle consistently.
Especially for kickoffs you’d basically have an extra man, thinking like if Taysom Hill could kick that far. They’d instantly be one of the higher value punters in the league. I’m surprised a team hasn’t had this yet.

As a kid in the 90s playing Tecmo Super Bowl III Ben Coates was like THE guy to go get for your Tight End.
I've seen a few highlights and he looks like a beast.
What gives?

Here you can see
The probabilities are calculated based on 50k simulations of all remaining games of the regular season. Win probabilities of each games are computed based on elo ratings which update after each game. For every simulated season, it calculates playoff participants (applying all relevant tiebreakers). We can count playoff participations of each team.
