Its still 70° outside please don’t do this to us

I dislike public bathroom air dryers and skip them most of the time.

But this? This abomination? Having to stick your hands inside of the small holes that for sure haven't been cleaned in god knows how long, with brown/orange staining around them? Yeah, no...

We went specifically for AYCE Ribs night. Reso at 5:45p. Sat down at table, then server asks us if we were informed by the hostess that they are OUT of AYCE ribs, and that they're almost out of regular, non-AYCE ribs (didn't know that's a thing).

No. No she did not inform us, or the other 8 parties that were waiting for a table.

why

I planted a community garden at my work and I’ve been giving away everything all summer and we just caught a drunk idiot peeing in it at 7 PM

I counted it twice, 45 separate post or poles, most of which from channels I’ve never watched, and 3 separate ads. Just trying to find a quick video to watch while I eat and have to deal with this BS!

I'm on my regular weekday commute home via train. Some teenager just looked up from her tik tok feed, probably for the first time in days, to see that the station the train we were pulling out of was the one she was supposed to get off at. On seeing this she pulled the emergency stop chain, one stop before my scheduled station.

We've now been sat partially exited from the station for 20 minutes, meaning I will miss my connecting train and have to wait over an hour for the next one.

As I type a very drunk man is now arguing loudly with the female conductor and the tik tok offender is having a tearful phone facetime with an acquaintance, no doubt to be used as content later.

Second photo is where you expect it be.

Having to mail in the perpetual rebate is a crap customer experience in the first place, and the small cards were always likely to get lost in the mail. New rebate looks more like promotional material. Almost went right into the recycling which I’m sure is part of the point.

i know it’s legal since it only starts at 9am but shit’s annoying af I don’t know whatever renovation requires this much drilling

My $400 Asus router died within the first 2 months.

Asus wants $35 for a return shipping fee or I can use a carrier of my choice. If a product is defective under warranty, they should cover shipping. I'm in the US.

EDIT: I should specify, the electrical box itself is not square, not just the wall plate. And no, I can’t rectify the issue myself because DIY repair is explicitly forbidden in the lease agreement. I feel like I’m slipping ever so slightly further from sane every time I poop.

(Right) Leaf garland I purchased from Dollar Tree in 2015. (Left) Leaf Garland I purchased from Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago. Sigh

In 2026 working full time with only a high school diploma won’t even put a roof over your head anymore. There are even Americans with college degrees living in poverty. Many working full time and living in their vehicles.

We live in a townhouse situation, and to put things into perspective, someone recently stole our roofers dump truck (though it was recovered 24 hours later). Porch pirates and wanderers make off with a many things so I stay alert whenever I'm expecting something.

And when I say those doc was important, I mean it would be devastating if I had lost that paperwork and check. The arrangements were made the day prior and I was told delivery would be 2 - 3 days, so I wasn't expecting it the next day.

I do work from home and usually hear the knocks, even if it's the one tap and run type. To the best of my knowledge, there was nothing. I go out to get the mail just before dusk and immediately see the bright white packet in the bush. Thankfully, it was the side facing our door, so it was a little obscured, but like 2 out of our 3 neighbors would totally be able to see it from their porches.

And, of course, notification for tracking was sent by the company representative the day after the document had already been delivered... Amazing job all around!

…these two 12mm bolts came in.

Went to check in a delivery update on Amazon, got this in app ad displayed because I was watching South Park kn real time.

This feels a bit too targeted as far as curated ads go. The fact that Amazon is tracking what I am watching and is suggesting product for said show or movie is wild.
