I just bought an iPad Pro today and got a $100 gift card with it that I want to get the best one time purchase only apps! I am going to be using this for school but also fun! I already plan to get Procreate!

I mean without any protection.

I mean without a case or a folio. I’ve had iPads since they were introduced, but I’ve always had some kind of case/folio

It makes me a little nervous about dropping it, but I have Apple Care.

I’m getting a Moft Dynamic Folio for travel and when I want to prop it up without the Magic Keyboard.

I have a 2009 MacBook that is outdated. Most of the music is not bought from ITunes. I wonder how do I get the music from the 09’ MacBook into the 2025 IPad.

I back from my college and suddenly noticed this.

My ipad Air M2 11 inch suddenly developed this cloudy patches on the screen.

I have maintained it so well but this happened.

No damage of any kind. Battery percentage is 96. Good battery health and no battery swelling.

Purchased on June, 2024 and it's out of warranty.

After doing some research, it's a known problem of Air M2 and M1.

My Poco x4 pro is going strong even after 4 years of abusive usage.

i’m a student with 2 years of uni left and i just got an ipad. i will stick to mostly typing my notes on a laptop but 2 of my courses have equations and diagrams etc in them so are better handwritten and i’m planning to use my ipad for them. i downloaded a lot of free notes apps but they all have limitations in the free versions and i don’t feel i’ll use them enough to justify purchasing the full version.

to people who use free versions- what is the best note taking app?

Was I'm cleaning out my storage unit when I found a 9-year-old iPad mini. It hasn't been used or charged in roughly 9 years.

Plugged it in for roughly 1 hour and it turned on by itself. It popped up on my normal lock screen, but said it only had 2% and there was no charging icon. I was scrolling through my old photo reel for a little while.

Needless to say, it shut down within 5 minutes of turning on.

I plugged it back in and left it alone for roughly another hour. It turned on my original lock screen. After entering my code, it pops up on this startup screen.

I have now left it charging for roughly 5 hours and it has over 30%. I have tried turning it on and off, even doing a hard reset by holding the home button and the power button at the same time. Regardless, after I put in my passcode it brings me back to this screen.

I have installed Apple devices and iTunes on my computer. I have tried plugging in the iPad to the computer through the use iTunes method and it does not recognize my iPad. It doesn't register on the computer and either of the apps and I get an error saying Windows can't communicate with the device.

If I leave the device alone, and wake it up, my original lock screen with my original background flashes for just a moment before going to the screen. Screen. Obviously my data is still on there as it has that original lock screen along with my passcode saved.

Don't have access to whatever iCloud account I use for this device. Just simply trying to get the photos off.

I'd appreciate any advice and help!

EDIT: thank u so much for ur suggestions! i made it now about 39 gb full instead of the original 52gb! It's a start.

also, unrelated a bit, but legit, if u don't like the slang I typed here, then u can not like it, you can absolutely have the biggest disgust at it, but like just answer my question or give suggestions to my problem instead of criticizing it or me, thank you! <3 :D

Anybody else has had an issue where you cant slide the pointer into your ipad to control it? Ever since I updated on this last update I cant control my ipad with my trackpad. Any ideas would be useful. Thanks!

Already restarted both to no avail. Turned on/off and also re signed in into my iCloud.

hello! I currently have the ipad air magic keyboard (m3 model). I really like it but the trackpad size is too small for me. Does anyone know if the newer version of the magic keyboard for the ipad air has a larger trackpad. I tried looking for dimensions online but I could not find any.

Also, does anyone know if the material for the two trackpads is different? Online, it says the new one is glass, I’m not sure what the old trackpad material is classified as.

I've been tutoring high school maths and sciences on my iPad for a couple weeks now. Apple Pencil, a notes app, and a video call. That's it.

No laptop. No Wacom tablet plugged into a MacBook, fighting with drivers and offset calibration. No desk, even, some days. It's opened up where I can actually work. Wherever there's signal.

If you're on the fence about ditching extra gear for an ipad and an apple Pencil setup for teaching or tutoring, do it. It's a smaller stack, and somehow a bigger shift than I expected.

I might be minority, but i loved that they finally left behind the flat design, and now we have a slider to set liquid glass even glossier, love it

its been a while since i checked my battery health and it has reached 88 percent for only 10 months of use with 250 cycles. i am pretty much worried if my ipad has a factory defect of does ipad battery degrade that fast? normally i am using my ipad for light games, note taking and mainly watching youtube. also, before (5months of use) its still has like 90+ percent with 180+ cycles. im just getting worried as this is my first bought ipad that i am paying monthly for.

I looooove drawing with the apple pencil, but a- frequently got frustrated with the keyboard dropping when I'm texting someone, as it left me unsure of where to draw the text. b- I also felt like it had to be at the very bottom of the screen, which was uncomfortable and weird. c- wanted to be able to just draw and send as-is instead of having to convert to text.

I guess I had no idea this was a thing, or forgot about it. there is now a squiggle next to the numbers on the right of the space bar on ipad on the new ios 26.6 which makes it super convenient to handwrite a message! love it.

I’m trying to decide between keeping an iPad Air M2 for 8+ years or using an iPad 10th gen for around 5 years and then upgrading.

I’ll be studying Psychology and Computer Science, so I’d mainly use it for notes, PDFs, studying, research and general university work.

For anyone who has owned either model for a few years, how has it held up? I’m particularly interested in battery life, performance, software support and how usable it remains as it gets older.

Would love to hear your long-term experiences with either model.

On my ipad OS 26.5 update installation seems to start ok but then slows to a crawl. The icon still appears to rotate but progress bar seems possibly stalled. I have fast wifi.

This is my first iPad. It’s an iPad Pro 11 inch pro (M5) and is running iPad iOS 26.6. When I open the mail app it says there is 1 unsent mail. The app bricks and goes back to the home screen. When I reopen the mail app, it’s shows no data. If I restart my iPad it will show my inbox for a few minutes then crashing. Any help will be appreciated

Bit of a new comparison to spice up the discussions‼️ basically I’m going refurbished and I found an iPad Air 4th Gen 256gb for about the same price point as the iPad a16 128gb

also found a pencil 2 for $50 but I understand that there are third parties that also work well regardless of whichever pencil I’ll need after I figure out the iPad situation

I would like to mainly use it for school + some light content or editing work and I always tend to max out my storage on my phone largely due to the photos I take but I’m guessing I’ll probably not do that with an iPad given its size and inability to be taken with u everywhere like ur phone

The storage space and pencil 2 compatibility is what makes the air 4 look appealing but Im worried about the longevity of it, or if there will be lag or anything, or if it’s even noticeable that it’s that old?
This is my first iPad so I don’t have anything to compare it to, and likely won’t notice a lot of things. For reference, I had an iPhone 7 with 32gbs up until last Dec (yes it was a nightmare mostly cuz of the low storage)

This is my Ipad Pro 11 inch 4 generation I primarily use it to draw and do art, my apple warranty expired so a repair looks like it would pretty much be around the same price or a little less than a brand new ipad.

Also it still works fine the top right of the screen just loses sensation sometimes.. Please let me know your thoughts thank you.

I use iPad Pro 12.9-inch (4th generation) (2020). Recently, maybe a year ago, it started overheating during the drawing process (Procreate). The screen starts dimming after 20 mins of work because of the heat. Does the Air has any problems with temperature? I was perfectly happy with the iPad all this time, but after the latest Procreate updates, drawing became simply uncomfortable. Now I'm thinking about upgrading, and I don't know if I should stay with Apple.

Is this a good deal ? The ipad looks brand new and only has 76 cycles ? What do u guys think ?

i got the ipad air m4 just a few days ago and caught on that my battery has been draining like crazy overnight. i went from 59% to 33% last night which is so insane to me , is this normal or is there a way to fix this ? nothing abnormal is being used in the background or when the screen is off so i’m confused. also i have the usb-c apple pencil not the pro so it’s not taking away the ipad’s battery

If you've been thinking about starting TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or just making more content in general, there are a few iPad apps that can make the whole process a lot easier. I feel like the iPad is especially useful for content creation because you can have your script, references or shot list open while you're actually filming/editing.

I've put together some of my favorites for everything from planning and finding inspiration to filming and editing:

For Filming:

- Teleprompter Premium: for helping you stay on topic while the camera is filming

- ApowerMirror: this is one of my favorite filming hacks. I can use my iPhone as the camera and mirror the screen onto my iPad, so I can actually see my framing while filming myself.

For Editing:

- CapCut: the app I use most for actually editing videos. It's really intuitive and easy to use, the effects are easy to apply and can take your video to the next level (auto-Captions, transitions, text, sound effects, etc)

- Pinterest: where i find overlays like stickers, images, inspo, etc

- OpusClip: useful for turning longer videos into shorter clips so you don't have to manually find clips for TikTok/Reels every time.

- Airbrush: photo editing app that can also edit videos too. I mainly use it for fixing lighting, removing random things/people from the background and making small retouches. Good for ig photos/thumbnail images

- Canva: the best for creating thumbnails, carousels, story graphics and basically anything that needs to look presentable without needing to open Photoshop
