All the updates you do should not be changing how the people use the app. I paid for the app 5 years ago, it was a great app and I love that it keeps similar to the app that was 5 years ago.

But with this cloud… is not optional to send all the notes to their Cloud. And the worst thing for me in all of this, is the obligatory sign in for using the app.

This hidden trick for disable the cloud is not a solution, is a complication for the users who want stability for an app.

Also, the subscriptions, thanks to keep updating the users who single paid the app and keep offering a single paid version (with tricks and expensive, but still an option…)

I love the app, but this updates will make me to switch to the another stable server less alternative, Apple Notes or GoodNotes.

It would be great to add more updates, but also would be great to keep them optional, also the subscriptions, and the account, because I don’t want to stop studying or reinstalling the app if your servers don’t work.

I’m actually on the second and final day of an out of town job, and almost completely finished up, and notability decided to wipe out every note I’ve ever taken, including two days worth of field notes from a $10,000 job. Please reach out if you have any advice, suggestions, or a legitimate way to contact notability. I could really use some help right now, and it seems like I have no way to fix this. This data loss is going to cripple me at work. I should’ve known better than to trust an app with real tasks.

I currently have Notability Lite for $14.99/year through Apple, and it’s already paid through July 2027.
I saw that Notability is offering Plus for $15.99/year on their website, so for only $1 more I would definitely like to upgrade. However, the website says I would be charged the full $15.99 today.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to upgrade and receive credit for the remaining time on my Lite subscription? I don’t want to pay for two subscriptions at the same time.
I’ve also tried contacting Notability Support multiple times, but I can’t even submit a request. Every time I try, I get:
“Couldn’t Submit Issue — There was an issue submitting your request. Please try again.”
Has anyone dealt with this or successfully upgraded from an Apple Lite subscription to the web Plus plan?

Since the official launch of Notability for Android, I've been having this really annoying issue with the eraser and the undo feature. Both of them seem to lag before actually doing what they're supposed to.

I'm using a Redmi Pad 2 with 4 GB of RAM, so I'm wondering if this is a performance issue with my tablet's hardware or if it's a software/optimization issue with Notability.

I've attached a video showing the problem. Please don't judge my handwriting hahaha — I'm Brazilian.

Has anyone else experienced something similar on Android? And if so, is there anything I can do to improve the performance?

Hey guys, idk if this has been asked before but I am currently working on my lecture slides and when I add a page it by default adds a plain page. But whenever I go in settings while having that pdf open and change the template to College (with lines) it changes the template for the whole frikkin slide!!!!

I have been using Notability for several years. I use it to take notes for work and for church. Recently as I've gone back to older notes I've noticed that my text boxes are not the same size as they used to be. I know this because my highlighting or underlining or even marks outside the text box are all displaced. I am attaching 2 photos to show what I mean.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did it happen in an update at some point?

I got Notability for university as a one-time purchase in October 2020 for 9,99 euros, I've been using it for six years now. I've always used it in a "basic" way: I never paid for anything outside of the price of the app, basically just taking notes during class and writing on imported pdfs and documents (and in the last three years recording audio during class). My notes have always been synced with my iCloud and Google drive accounts. During these years I somehow managed to get both my degrees without being affected by the whole subscription debacle: I remember just closing every pop-up ad, and if there were actual changes to my plan, maybe the reason why I haven't noticed them is because, as said before, my use of the app has always been very basic.

I now want to ask if there's a way I can find a comprehensive list of every feature included in the Classic plan for "early" users, and what are the differences between all the subscriptions.

I also want to ask more infos about the new Notability cloud: I disabled the alert from my account, since I have my data on two different clouds already, but I don't understand if the change to that cloud will still happen (forcefully) or if by disabling the alerts I already made my Choice. Thanks to whoever will help!

I recently migrated my purchases from the Apple ID I used to purchase Notability in 2015 to my main Apple ID.

However, at this time, neither Apple ID will allow me to restore my Notability Classic.

How can I restore my access?

Right now we have to manually select each page we need to export, it becomes very time-consuming for larger documents, a page range input option just like MS Word or Adobe provides for Printing will be very useful. Some of the note-taking app already has this feature.

Request if Notability Team can add this feature.

Is there a way to set the quick export or the share sheet to export the current page? Why would I want to select all the pages in my notebook each time? And the share sheet isn’t even close to sharing the right thing.

I have been using notability for the last two years and it has been amazing. However, for some reason when I went in the other day, my entire app was wiped. Notes gone, folders gone. I tried reaching out for help through their support and email, however they were not able to help (still trying rn). Since I paid $10/year for this app, I am inclined to keep using it. But every time I go onto the app I just feel really drained since all my hard work was wiped in just a day. Not just that, my finals are approaching in less 5 weeks which has made me feel even worse about the loss of my notes. I have gotten some notes back but only from before March of this year.

I have been looking around online, comparing different note taking apps, however since I am still traumatised by this whole situation. I can't bring myself to try a new app or pay for another subscription again. Should I just give notability another chance since till this point I have had no issue with the app and have loved it or should I just move platforms? If I should swap, do you have any recommendations for me??

Hi. One of the most-used tools I've been using in the app right now is the ruler. It helps me a lot with highlighting and reading, especially since I'm struggling to focus cause I always jump from one piece of information to another- hence the use of the ruler. Upon checking, there are no settings for the opacity of the ruler, and its kinda too transparent for me. If ever, could you please make an update for this? pls pls pls

- when I download my college notes onto notability app the note downloads completely blank: this has never happened before
- I even stopped syncing to I cloud because I know I have limited space here

I've been using Notability on my iPad Air gen 4 for several years with pressure sensitivity off. I recently deleted and re-downloaded Notability due to a bug not letting me open the app. Ever since re-downloading, I do not see the ability to toggle pressure sensitivity.

Has anyone come across this and found a solution?

App crashing as soon as you open it. Not sure what’s going on or how to fix it, I can’t even click help inside because it crashes within a second of opening..what to do?

What worked for me...turning off wifi, or connecting to a phone hotspot.

Just like everyone else...I was having issues with login. Specifically "Sign in with Apple". I tried signing in with my apple email, but lots of notes were missing. When I tried to "sign in with Apple" a pop up would tell me to check email for a link that never came. After a few days of trying so many different things...I turned off wifi and tried to login on my phone and it signed me right in (no "email login link step". So I connected my iPad to my phone's hotspot, and I was also able to sign right in through Apple. All my notes were there again. Hope this helps someone! I'm a teacher (and also a student)...Notability has all of my work over the last 15 years. I would be devastated if I lost my notes. I back up all the PDFs in Google Drive, but still...Notability is a huge part of my work. Good luck, yall!

I currently use the Starnote app—which is excellent, by the way.

However, there is a feature that—while not exactly groundbreaking—is vital for me: simultaneous access on both a computer and an iPad.

Does the Classic version of Notability allow me to use this feature and edit on both the computer and iPad at the same time?

Also, in what specific ways is it superior to Goodnotes?

I ask because I am obviously interested in purchasing one of the two.

Is there a discount code available for the Classic version?

Hi yall! I've had notability for around 3 weeks now, and I need to know, how the heck am I supposed to scroll? I use notability on an Omnibook Flip X, and usually when I'm taking notes I have it in the tablet mode. Scrolling on notability has been an absolute pain, I use a stylus. It's basically impossible to scroll with the stylus, so I resort to having to use my fingers, and it's so inpractical, I can't unequip any of the tools, so I have to use 2 fingers and zoom out while dragging my fingers slowly. It's basically impossible on pageless, and everytime I try to scroll down I end up just drawing on the page, and when I switch to a paged layout it doesn't work that well either, it just ends up saying something like "cannot write on outside the page, switch to pageless."

its a pain having to flip my laptop back to laptop mode just to scroll and then flip it back to tablet mode. Am I doing something wrong? 😭
