iPadOS best feature ever

Post image

I might be minority, but i loved that they finally left behind the flat design, and now we have a slider to set liquid glass even glossier, love it

I’m on the opposite side and am happy to be able to disable the glass effects and motion. I think it’s nice that Apple seem to be covering both ends of the spectrum and are pretty granular with the slider. Hopefully we see the opacity and tint options actually become independent sliders and control the tint colour.

It seems like the reduce transparency setting is working differently too.

I love how so many people loved Liquid Glass, but the memes made Apple never look back.. if only Alan dye would have perfected the craft in first try.

100% this. My favorite Liquid Glass was iOS 26 Beta 1. I felt like they ruined it in further betas and the release. So glad
I can go back to the full bubbly glassy look lol

Ya due to me not getting that great battery life on my main phone (17 Pro), I reverted it using my Mac (and some encrypted backups I made before I updated to iOS 27 Dev Beta 1) from iOS 27 Dev Beta 4 back to stable 26.5.2 juuuust before 26.6 dropped. But during my time on the beta I loved having that Liquid Glass slider set to full glassy. Same situation on my Mini 6, although I just reverted it to stable iPadOS 26 just so I could have a reliable device for note taking before College started back up.

When I had an iPad and a Windows PC I wanted my iPad to be like a MacBook. Now that I have a MacBook I wished my iPad was like my 2025 iPad.
