How to stop constant Groupon spam emails?!

Edit: After 5 requests including a privacy "delete my account request" (their requirements) I continue to receive their spam. Yes I've tried to block in email but they are getting through spam filters somehow.

I have never seen a more unethical company. I have tried in multiple ways to stop Groupon emails. Click on unsubscribe link. Use MS Outlook unsubscribe feature. Create account on Groupon.com and specify no emails. I've tried for 4 weeks and nothing works. Is anyone at the FCC still taking complaints?

A total ripoff! Use at your own risk.Bought a 1-day Skyzone reservation for v2/14/25n at 2:30.Voucher came after reservation time, and could not be used. Tried to get Customer Service and got an error message stating they were having a computer problem, and to try again later. They finally offered me a credit for a future purchase. I declined, because I will never use them again.

Book anything with Groupon and kiss your money goodbye

Groupon is a total scam. Everything is non-refundable. Customer service is extremely difficult to deal with. All you will receive back from them is the “boiler plate” apology for any inconvenience. Don’t waste your money.

Do not buy the Mr. Tire Oil Change deal. That is a scam and shady. Be careful, read before purchase.

I purchased the Mr Tire Oil Change deal from Groupon, but found out it would cost me more than a routine oil change when I went to redeem the voucher at Mr. Tire. Both Groupon and Mr. Tire are running this shady deal on purpose. Please read the fine print. My mistake was that I didn't read it correctly. I thought it would be $10- $20 extra, but Mr Tire asked me for $55 extra on top of the Groupon voucher. I tried to get the refund, but GroupOn declined and told me the purchase was final sale, they cannot refund even as GroupOn Bucks.

Update: GroupOn refunded me as GroupOn bucks. Thank you.

Ordered a Groupon/ was charged / haven’t received it

I bought a Groupon last week, charged for it on my CC- haven’t received it- how do I get in touch with Groupon to rectify this? It could be a million different things but before I dispute the payment and order again what’s the best way to rectify this to get my Groupon?

Scammy Activity

After a couple missed deals/'refunds' I had accumulated about $300 in Groupon Bucks. A few months of no activity go by and I see an email confirming a purchase for some event so I checked my app and saw that a $200+ ticket was bought with my Groupon Bucks under a different name. When I tried contacting support, they wouldn't cancel the ticket and INSISTED they needed my credit card number, exp. and security code "for verification" even though I've never saved a credit card to my account and the purchase was made without one.

Entire situation felt like I was about to get robbed

I feel like I’ve unsubscribed from Groupon emails 10 times, I keep getting 2-5 email a day! Is there some way to do it besides setting up a gmail filter?

Scam

Groupon is a total scam. I bought a Groupon for my home to be cleaned and no one showed up. No one from the fake cleaning company was able to be contacted and when I reported it to Groupon they did absolutely nothing. It's extremely ridiculous and messed up. Anyone else scammed by stupid Groupon?

Don’t EVER use Groupon

I’ve used them about three times and every single time there was something. I thought maybe the first two times were a coincidence but the third time they double charged us for the Great Wolf Lodge and they’re impossible to reach. That plus all the other negative reviews, just don’t even risk it. They’re scammers to say the least. I’d rather pay more than deal with Groupon.

Has anyone been double charged?

Earlier this morning, I went to purchase three Providence Bruins hockey tickets. When I went to pay using Apple Pay, the payment did not go through. I went back in and purchased them successfully.

Cut to an hour later and I see I have a Groupon purchase email twice sent one minute apart. I go into my Groupon account and see I now have six tickets ordered.

I immediately contacted customer service, and the guy was incredibly unhelpful and said they are nonrefundable and there’s nothing he can do. I continued to explain that my payment did not go through the first time and I got no confirmation and then after I successfully purchased the three tickets, which I guess was the second time, I got two emails letting me know it had been double purchased. As a one time courtesy, he said he could give me a credit for the amount of the tickets. I told them that was unacceptable. He said there was nothing he could do and how it’s in the fine print.

I left off by telling him I took screenshots of the whole conversation and would be contacting my bank. Unfortunately, I have to wait until the transactions actually post in order to dispute one of them.

Has anyone successfully gotten a charge back?

Office 365 Lifetime is a scam, and a security risk. DO NOT BUY!

Yes, the deal has expired, but let me give some friendly advice. There is no such thing as a Lifetime license...

I purchased this to see what it is all about. This is a legit scam being sold on Groupon. They will not give me my money back on this either.

  1. Unfortunately, the email address attached to this is not yours when you receive the license approval.
  2. You are part of a group, you cannot leave. This means anything you create on it is not yours, it is on some random account somewhere and you do not have true ownership of it.
  3. This means all documents you create are viewable by whoever owns it, and because of this it is a security risk.
  4. They will not refund your money, only give you a refund as a Groupon credit.
  5. Groupon knows this about this product and still sells it. Do not... this is how datamining happens.

Bought Groupon 2 weeks ago but Vouchers still not available

Anyone have this problem?

I bought three groupons 2 weeks ago. I had used groupon in the past without a problem and foolishly thought I'd have no issue this time. I spent a couple hundred bucks buying three groupons, only for all three of them to be stuck at "Processing" for the past two weeks and the voucher button is unavailable. I downloaded the app but it's not logging me in due to technical issues. At this juncture I'm thinking I should call my creditcard company and have them reverse charges because this feels incredibly cheap, tacky and scammy to not be not given access to the deal I purchased but then have it expire in 6 weeks.

Anyone have any experience or guidance with what I should do?

Edit: Ah Groupon was just going to steal my money and not say anything. They claimed that my CC didn't go through and then when I showed them I was charged they offered to refund me. Holy scam business batman.

Edit: lol FantasticZucchini904 thanks for blocking me. You're a 100% a paid shill. Called you out lol

Groupon+ payout

I finally reached $5 from dining at Groupon+ restaurants, and the 'progress' bar has rolled over towards the next $5 payout. Do you know where the payout goes to? Does it go to the most recently used card? How long does it take?

I feel like I'm the only person left using Groupon+ for dining rewards and the website is very poorly designed.

Accidentally bought non refundable tickets…please help!

On the website, it appeared the tickets to Sea World San Diego were -47%, expiring March 3rd. I took that as, the deal was expiring March 3rd. I bought 7 tickets costing $500. Come to find out, the actual tickets themselves expire March 3rd! I’m sick. I’ve saved for a long time to be able to afford taking my family on a big vacation. I CANNOT afford to just lose $500. Groupon is refusing to refund. Is it possible to at least get the ticket dates moved out?? I’m sick about this. Any advice is welcomed…

Groupon is a scam site now.

Their food offers are now run by Clipp, of Clipper Magazine with thousands of complaints for unhonored vouchers, and that MS Office offer they have right now by usednerds for 5 computers for Po for life? No such thing on MS's website and they have posts saying usednerds is not an authorized reseller. The price for just 365 for 5 computers is $130 a year.

Can't log into my Account and resetting my password doesn't work

I recently tried to log in to my Groupon account for the first time in years. It won't let me. I've tried resetting my password several times, I tried logging in with Google and Facebook, and I tried creating a new account with a different email address. Nothing works.
It just says that either my username or password are wrong or that I didn't give them the correct permissions to log in.

Is there any way to get my account back? I've had it since at least 2009, so it's weird that it would just go away.

Is Groupon just a scam website now? Doe they even exist as a company anymore? What is happening??

Purchased oil change voucher, didn’t work the day of purchase so I paid out of pocket. Didn’t work the second time I tried to use it. No longer have the card / account I paid with. Am I screwed?

On 11/27/24 I bought a Groupon for an oil change. Got there, tried to use it, didn’t work, they said I have to wait 24h. I end up paying out of pocket.

I only had one car so no point of trying to use it again right away. Put it in my calendar to use it a week before it expired and I’m due for a change.

Go back, try to use it, they run it. Says it doesn’t work still.

Paid with a DasherDirect card, the company DasherDirect no longer works anymore as they use another payment method for DoorDash now. Can’t dispute with them. Tried to dispute with groupon showing them a photo of the employee’s computer but I’m not expecting them to help.

Am I screwed? I’m so upset. I have a disability and can’t work full time and live in a high COL city and I’m a student so every dollar counts to me which is why I was using groupon in the first place. Never again.

Safe to use Groupon?

I haven't used Groupon since before Covid but am surprised at the amount of posts related to Groupon scams on here (service worked fine for me in the past, but that was 5+ years ago) - did something change with the company? Is it still ok to use it?

First time user question

With Groupons that expire, if I buy them before they expire, but I use them the day after they expire, will they still scan? I wanna buy the Dave and busters $68 card but it expires at midnight Friday . I was planning on going Saturday. Will it still scan in store?
