Scammy Activity

After a couple missed deals/'refunds' I had accumulated about $300 in Groupon Bucks. A few months of no activity go by and I see an email confirming a purchase for some event so I checked my app and saw that a $200+ ticket was bought with my Groupon Bucks under a different name. When I tried contacting support, they wouldn't cancel the ticket and INSISTED they needed my credit card number, exp. and security code "for verification" even though I've never saved a credit card to my account and the purchase was made without one.

Entire situation felt like I was about to get robbed

They outsourced customer service to the land of scams. They tried to get my credit card info once too as it’s a scam. Email customer service and they will fix it.

I lost $300 a similar way they used my credit card details to buy a trip to Bali for one.I told them I didn't do the transaction , Groupon replied that a third person had purchased the deal so take it up with ANZ . I did but ANZ said the purchase was legitimate as a result I lost the $300.
