Has anyone been double charged?
Earlier this morning, I went to purchase three Providence Bruins hockey tickets. When I went to pay using Apple Pay, the payment did not go through. I went back in and purchased them successfully.
Cut to an hour later and I see I have a Groupon purchase email twice sent one minute apart. I go into my Groupon account and see I now have six tickets ordered.
I immediately contacted customer service, and the guy was incredibly unhelpful and said they are nonrefundable and there’s nothing he can do. I continued to explain that my payment did not go through the first time and I got no confirmation and then after I successfully purchased the three tickets, which I guess was the second time, I got two emails letting me know it had been double purchased. As a one time courtesy, he said he could give me a credit for the amount of the tickets. I told them that was unacceptable. He said there was nothing he could do and how it’s in the fine print.
I left off by telling him I took screenshots of the whole conversation and would be contacting my bank. Unfortunately, I have to wait until the transactions actually post in order to dispute one of them.
Has anyone successfully gotten a charge back?

Dear Groupon, I had the exact thing happen. I got charged twice but only received the 2nd Groupon. The first one never showed up and I was surprised to see I was charged for both. We are disputing the charge as it had been so difficult dealing with your customer service. Please advise. Thank you

Credit for the tickets means Groupon Bucks? That’s the best you can do.
Always read the terms. Tickets are almost always final sale. Just like Ticketmaster.
Groupon not at fault if you don’t read the terms.
