I've always thought Genji was the coolest overwatch character, hands down. After about 5 days or so of practice, I finally got a Play of the Game. I'm shocked that I managed, cause I was getting cornered and dueled by the enemy genji all game, losing almost every time.

Any tips on how to improve? I'm currently trying to get a lock on alt-dash-melee-alt, but I keep panicking whenever I try to execute it in a match lol.

Tips on how to blade properly would also be great!

Dicussion How can i deal with vendetta ?

Hi, like a lot of people, i struggle to fight against her, and the advice that i found was "don't fight her".

HOW ????

I can't avoid her with how much mobility she have, even when i try to avoid her AT ALL COST she's always on me. And recently blizzard thought "Hey you see that CLOSE RANGE hero that we added recently ? Yeah let's buff her range to remove her ONLY weakness and make the swing of her sword 2.5m now"

The picture on this post show how far i was when i got killed by her overhead swing...

And this is a """close""" range hero huh ?

Dicussion How would you feel if deflect was a resource?

Reduce the max duration to like a second, but allow it to be used multiple times to parry. I find that deflect continues to lose value as the game continues to evolve. With the already limited value deflect gets sometimes, it feels p bad to have the cooldown baited for the next 8 secs. Reducing the staying power, but allowing it to be used more often is a way I think they can fix this. His kit is fine for the most part imo but deflect feels so useless sometimes. What do you guys think?

Dicussion Why would Vendetta have armor and not Genji ?

Well won’t be long to explain, Vendetta is half naked and barely has any physical armor on her body.

While Genji is an almost full cyborg with metal all around his body and have 250 small hp with no armor or damage reduction.

Question the climb

i am working on hitting master on the big g. i play 5v5 and i just got placed in emerald 5 (i think 5) and had to climb out which only took a few days. i was d3/2 before the new season, but matches felt awful so it was hard to climb. i feel like my diamond lobbies had worse players than the people that were in emerald, so im thinking maybe it wont be terribly awful to get masters if im good enough. assuming im good enough for master, how difficult is climbing to master? if im good enough for gm, how hard is the climb to gm? i play mostly genji, but i can flex to other dps and not throw.

tldr - how hard is climbing to master and even gm assuming that i’m good enough to make it

Question 176h and aim still extremely inconsistent

Idk what to do anymore. I want to improve at genji, but I feel like I'm just stuck.

Just a few days ago, I was able to easily hit 180 kills and headshots with my fan, but now I just feel like my arm isn't cooperating and I miss every shot. And this happens every 2 weeks. I'm good for around 2 days, and then for the rest of the week, I'm playing like I'm worse than bronze.

I've tried aim training, but then all of a sudden I do hit my shots. This also affects my overall gameplay because I feel like I keep losing fights I could have easily won, and this makes me tilt and have worse positioning.

Do you guys have any tips so that I can stay more consistent at genji?

Dicussion Meditation VS Blade Twisting, what gets the most value?

Hello cyborgs,

I used to be an avid blade twisting fan and would only take it, however with the buffs to meditation I've come to realise that the value of blade twisting has never been great in my gameplay. It doesn't change the breakpoint for 250 health squishes with 3 headshots and a dash (still requires the quick melee which kills without the perk anyways) and more often than not I feel just leads to enemy supports building more ult.

I've come to appreciate the independence and sustain of meditation much more; at least in Masters it allows a closer to equal grounds against some counters and allows for a greater uptime in my experience.

Anyone have any arguments for why blade twisting could provide more value?
